Shirayuki is only four feet, five inches high. Her long, brown hair goes slightly past her shoulder, save a small bunch kept to one side by what seems to be a green ribbon, but is actually a ribbon knife. Though her light blue eyes matches the color of the ice she uses, but it differs from ice by the warmth that is at times visible in her gaze. She wears a black, strapless, sleeveless dress, with her bastard sword on her back, with the handle protruding over her right shoulder, and the blade towards her left side. Her three short swords and one estoc are carried crossways on her back, slightly below her waist, with the handles barely protruding out to the sides, two short swords facing right, the third short sword and estoc facing left. All this, is covered/hidden by a blue cloak that may be a tad bit big for someone of her stature. The cloak that she wears is a size to large, reaching to mid thigh, and is tied at the collar only. Her arms are sometimes not found in the sleeves, for ease of movement. So it could be said that she wears the cloak similar to a cape at times. The empty scabbard and hilt, unlike the actual steel blades, is hitched onto the right side of the cloak, handle facing forward. If the blade-less hilt is drawn without creating the ice blade, all one would see is a hilt, with a five inch long, half an inch wide metal bar attached to it. When her cloak is off, one could see an small intricately designed scar on her right shoulder blade. As of the 60th of Summer, 513AV, Shirayuki now has a silver collar on her neck.
Character Concept
Though she has absolutely no qualms about killing, she is actually quite kind. She will trust you, unless you give a reason not to, consistently giving a cheerful smile to everyone. But, she is also really easy to fluster, distracting her from whatever she was attempting to do.
Shirayuki may hold actual weapons at her sides, but she can also recreate a weapon or two, to an extent, and use her personal experiences to fight with them. The weapons she creates are usually rather simple. Just a blade with a guard-less hilt, or perhaps an ice lance, which is basically an oversized icicle. Nothing complicated, like scythes, picks, or the like. She generates the Res at her shoulder, where she moves it to either the scabbard, or her hands.
After learning Reimancy and using ice weapons enough time, she has become slightly desensitized to cold. On the contrary, Shirayuki has also become more sensitive to heat.
One can easily tell if Shirayuki is flustered or nervous. Just cause Shirayuki to make a sudden movement, or pat her on the shoulder or back, and one can see minuscule ice crystals, similar to diamond dust in appearance, being thrown into the air by the abrupt movement. This is not voluntarily done, more as a way for her to subconsciously focus away from whatever is the causes of her nervousness.
When she fights using ice made weaponry, unlike metal, is easier to break. After enough parries from either side, the ice would fragment, forcing Shirayuki to either remake the sword, or find a new one. The only time when she wields a blade of ice that has a higher durability, is when there is a core of metal or hardwood inside. Most done, by using the blades-less hilt and scabbard. She may create an ice blade, before drawing it out. The scabbard is usually filled with water, especially if the ice blade was left inside the scabbard for a length of time.
She tries to ignore the death of her parents, but sometimes she ends up remembering. When she does, her usual happy mood darkens to a quieter, sad atmosphere, where one could almost swear her eyes have the coldness of glaciers.
When ever she has those daily small meal(s), she usually prefers fruits over any other kind of edible. Generally, she also attempts to freeze the fruit, creating a sherbet of the sort, before eating it. However, that is on a rare occasion.
Oh, and don't try to trace the lines on her shoulder blade, she is rather ticklish. No, I'm serious, she would probably lightly slap your hands. Well, after she finishes squirming around while the tracing occurs, that is.
Character History
There was a girl born in Zeltiva, and grew there for most of her life. This girl's. As she was brought up, her mother initiated her into the magicks of Reimancy. Unlike most, where they usually have their palms wounded for the initiation, Shirayuki had her right shoulder blade cut, and to this day, the scar is still there, forming an intricate design. Her first few lessons in creating Res, and transmuting it, all ended with water, water, and...more water. However, Shirayuki had another hobby. Whenever she wasn't practicing her Reimancy, she was trying out the art of wielding a sword. Well, her sword swinging at the time, was a lot less graceful than what someone would imagine the art of sword wielding to be, but that is just a minor detail. The mother did not like the idea of her daughter running around with a sharp blade, and strongly scolded Shirayuki whenever she was caught. Her father was much kinder, and decided to help improve his daughter's swordsmanship behind his wife's back.
Shirayuki, after practicing Reimancy enough, managed to transmute her Res into air. Water and air elements mix together gives one the results of ice. And you know what was the first thing that Shirayuki made out of ice? Of course, it HAD to be something resembling a blade. Obviously, the mother was very crossed, before confiscating Shirayuki's sword, and giving a lecture about how dangerous sharp blades were -As if Riemancy was any safer....-. However, the worst has yet to come. This, my friends, is where the gods will play a cruel joke on a poor little girl. On Shirayuki's fifteenth birthday, she was given a sword by her father. It was a black bastard sword, also known as a one and a half sword. The interesting thing about this sword, was a light blue band that went from the hilt, down the center of the blade, before stopping an inch from the tip. It may be only aesthetic, but Shirayuki was entranced by the blade, and gladly accepted it. The mother, well...let us just say there was a very heated argument between the parents. This was a normal scene for Shirayuki, until the mother finally raised her hand and slapped the father. No, the father didn't respond likewise. All he said, was to do this at a different time, when there isn't an audience. Angered even further by his words, the mother started to slap the father even more. Shirayuki, wincing every time the hand connected, finally had enough. She let looose with Reimancy, in hopes to stop her mother, but could only watch in horror, and fall to her knees at the results of an out of control spell. The mother was stopped by the ice alright. If a doctor was there, she would be announced dead. The father, though he may have fought against the mother, loved her very much. And with that, he walked away, before slitting his own throat, to be reunited with his wife. Unable to continue to view the deaths that happened around her, Shirayuki grabbed the sword, before running out of the house.
Several years has passed, where Shirayuki had to fight for survival. Buying a blade-less hilt and scabbard, to practice both Reimancy and swordsmanship, she forced herself to practice, and to fight, sometimes eating only once a day, and even so, just a frozen fruit. All this, was to distract herself from what she had done. Both her parents are dead, and all of the blame was placed on her. Still, she fought against her own mind, choosing to smile instead of crying in a corner. That has made Shirayuki, into the person she is now.
