61st of Summer
Sayren woke for another morning. She stretched her arms out as she glanced out her window. Dawn was just peaking over the horizon. She sighed as she hung herself over her knees. Heavily thinking about her training thus far. She had learned quite a bit from Ximal, but she was hoping to learn more from Revy about two handed swords. Hoping that the teachings would help vary her style of fighting. However, the mercenary woman had been avoiding her at every turn since they had first met. Her fingers traced circles on her kneecaps as she thought more about it. What could she have done to have aggravated the woman so? Did the kiss really bother her so? How would Sayren bring this up to her? Should they just...forget about it? But how could she do that? Revy was her first kiss. Her first contact with a warming connection. This alone confused her for several reasons.
She attempted to sort the thoughts in her head by separating them out. She held both of her hands. Meaning to possibly weigh the situation out...knowing it may not lean towards her favor, which at this point she had no clue what it would be. She glanced over at her left hand, thinking about why this should NOT be happening. She quietly muttered to herself, "Revy is a woman. Just as I am. And not only that, but a teacher of mine as well." Then she turned her head to the right, which was much higher than her left now, having no weight to it yet. "And yet...that kiss." The right now started to lower almost equal to the other, "I felt warm. Connected. She's beautiful. She's strong." She sighed as she returned her attention to her left hand, lowering that hand with more weight, "I know nothing about her. Who she really is. Or why she is running from me." Then an idea clicked in her head.
If she could just convince Revy for the two of them to spend time together. Maybe this whole...confusing mess can finally be figured out. However, the woman may not give her the chance to, having successfully avoided Sayren for about ten days now. Her head drooped over her shoulders. She was counting the days...this was bad. She glanced out the window once more, contemplating her thoughts. It was the crack of dawn and the sun was growing brighter. Surely Revy would just be starting her training exercise? She hoped so. Least for today. She quickly tossed on her regular clothes, keeping her training clothes close by in case she needed to change into them, if she's able to train with Revy. She knew she had the day to herself though. Ximal had told her to rest up and have the day to do as she pleased because he had something special planned for her the next day. And out the door she went.
She tip-toed over to the training room. That's when she heard Revy. Grunting and breathing hard from each strike of her blade for her warm ups. Sayren must've came in just as she was starting. She smiled, this was her chance. She stepped out into the room, trying her best not to come up on her in surprise, "Hello Revy. Beautiful weather this morning has given us...is...it okay if we may speak?" She said rigidly. She wasn't used to talking about this kind of subject, let alone to another woman, one that she now...desired.
