Fallon froze for a moment, feeling the movement of the girl as she came too. Or at least until she flinched away in surprise. The squire shuffled awkwardly for a moment, hands withdrawing as she flexed the digits once more. They were far from returning to their normal state, slow and sluggish in movement in comparison to their normal speed. Grimacing she made herself stand, whilst her eyes looked about the rest of the alley. People were starting to appear, observers hovering at the end of the alley, looking for an answer to what had happened here. It was when the knight came that the squire reacted. Pulling herself away she stood to attention, her hands clasped firmly behind her back. She gave a swallow, and begun her explanation of the events.

“Ser, I was approached by this girl who said she needed help and protection. In less than a chime afterwards this large man launched me into the wall and was carrying her away,” she paused as she tried to remember the events through her throbbing head “I managed to get up and give an alarm, and in doing so he lowered the girl. He looked like he was going to fight, but then changed his mind when he realised that the knights would be coming. He fled in the direction of that ‘halt’ came from a chime or two ago.”

There was a wince, her fingers pulling away and rubbing at the back of her head. If the knight required her to go and serve she would do that, but until then she would remain as attentive and alert to the scenario as possible. She had to be, if not for the public then for her own sake. She could not afford to slip up. Clearing her throat, she spoke up, “Anything else Ser?”

Still holding closed the ripped fabric of her blouse and dragging herself along the floor, Shiress set her eyes on a pile of overturned tables in a corner, there she could at least hide until help came. After scooting herself free of flying bodies and fists, she stood and slipped behind the tables.

After a chime, the girl peeked around the table and through an opening of brawling figures and saw Seth, his helpless figure suffering blow after blow from the angry patron who now loomed over him. She quickly made it to her feet, green eyes scanning the floor for anything she could use to aid the owners son. Spotting a broken table leg, she took a flying leap and snatched the would be weapon from the splintered wood and glass that littered the floor and turned to forge her way through the mass of angry faces again.

Out of the corner of her eye, she caught sight of a glint of sunlight reflecting from something soaring past a window just in front of her. She reacted and pulled away, but it was too late. A thrown mug slammed against the side of her face sending her staggering backwards against the wall and she slid limp to the floor.

After an unknown amount of time had passed, Shiress' eyes slowly opened and struggled to focus. The chaotic noise that had surrounded her just chimes before, or so it seemed only chimes to the girl, had gave way to deep, demanding voices and a more ordered tavern. She stood, dizzy and disoriented, and turned her aching head one way then the other, scanning around the broken mess that covered the floor.

The Stallion was full of metal covered knights. Shiress rolled her eyes. Too busy showing off their shiny sharp swords to help an injured girl laying unconscious on the floor. Arrogant shykes. She thought to herself pulling together what was left of her blouse. Her green eyes ran along the bar, its surface riddled with shards of glass and splintered wood, and she spotted a familiar, albeit bloody, face. "Seth!"

She stepped over and around the remnants of the fight, tripping once before coming up behind Seth and placing her hands on his shoulders. She slid around to his side. "Seth, Oh gods you're hurt." She said, brushing away dark hair from his face. "Im so sorry." She snatched a towel from the floor then leaned her body across the bar and grabbed a pitcher of water and soaked the cloth. Her brow furrowed sympathetically and a weak smile lifted the corners of her mouth as she gently began to wipe the trails of blood from his face, paying no mind to her own injuries.

As usual, Orion was in over his head. The man was much bigger than he, and clearly stronger. And now he was bringing a large blade down on top of him. Instinctively, he raised his blade to defend himself. The loud clang of metal on metal rang throughout the area. The force behind the thugs blow drove Orion down to a knee, but worst yet, Orion didn't have the grip to keep his own weapon.

His long sword clanked harmlessly against the ground, leaving the squire disarmed.

Rather than stand there and be struck down, Orion tried to use his unwanted kneeling position to his advantage, driving off the downed leg, exploding with as much force as he could muster in order to drive his body into his foe. He tried to wrap his arms around the man's back and pull him to the ground. No way was Orion dying today.

"Get help, you idiot," Orion managed to yell. Monfort was worthless. He was so worried about his trinkets and baubles that he would let someone else take the fall for them. Wealth and power always brought out the worst in people. He could only hope that neither he nor Lucy would become victims of that arrogance.

The Knight listened to the squires explanation, though with the girl leaning against him and the whispering of the crowds, it wasn't hard to believe any of it. The only thing that was left was to figure out what to do next. There was an explosion of voices from behind him, as a group of armed Knights forced their way through the crowds and into the next area. The Knight glanced down towards the two women again, and scooped the groggy foreigner into his arms and motioned to Fallon to follow. "Come with me."

Orion

There was a sudden ground shaking rumble, almost as if a stampede come, as a group of Knights forced their way through the crowd. The first five in the group raced forward, shields rasied as they slammed into the tall brute. He he was soon covered in shields and pinned under the weight of several Knights who dug their blades into his flesh. A public and very raw execution to show everyone that such actions would not be tolerated. Some of the people standing by were silent, while others continued to whisper and a few applauded. Monfort for one, was very happy to see the Knights and was relieved to have survived the ordeal until he saw his package.

"Noooooo!"

The Knights paid him little attention and removed themselves from the heap of flesh that used to be a Myrian warrior. "Ehh..." one of the Knights complained. "Who's going to clean this up?" The others frowned and looked around at each other before turning to face Orion.

Shiress

The tavern was a wreck and the place at a glanced, looked like it had been taken by outlaws. Rem returned with her husband to a horrid sight, and the man could already feel his pockets getting lighter. It seems that all drinks and food were about to go up a few coins to help pay for the damage. Seth was glad to see that Shiress was ok, and in his woozy state, the boy leaned up and planted a rather sloppy kiss upon her lips. He shyed away afterwards, hoping that the woman didn't mind.

"I bet when you took this job, you didn't expect any of this aye?" He smiled and pushed himself a bit closer to her so that he could speak where only she could hear him. "Do me a favor? Don't tell my parents I got so beat up. Can't have them thinking I'm weak."

It wasn't the festival that had been planned, and certainly not the one that Lorens had wanted. But there was still hope. His Knights had come in and put a stop to all the problems before anything got too out of hand, and by most the people were ok. Perhaps a turn around was in order in the form of his speech?

“Yes Ser,” Fallon did not take a lot of persuasion to follow the Knight.

Keeping her head down she made her way after them, ears pricking to the clank of steel and the distinct foot fall of men charging their way through the crowd. There was obviously some form of disorder, but what the knights were planning to do about it was a mystery. So the squire had little option but to follow after them and await further instruction. Ears pricked the voices however, her attention momentarily grabbed by it.

She looked onwards to the swarming knights that had passed by, and then averted her attention back to the task at hand. With low steps she kept on the tail of the Knight, giving only an occasional glance to the foreigner who remained still somewhat groggy. Numbed fingers flexed, her brow creasing as the left limb gave a twinge. The astral form was still lining up it seemed, the fraction of a delay between thought and movement.

Give it a few bells Fallon, it will be back to normal soon enough, there was a wince, You sure about that? It will have to do. She released a sigh, and quickened her pace. Best to get this over and done with as quickly as possible. And perhaps also receive some answers on to what was going on behind the scenes of this festival. Still, Loren should be giving his speech soon, she mused and perhaps then things would hopefully begin to calm down.

In theory at least.

Shiress' eyes widened in surprise as Seth's lips met with hers. Completely caught off guard, the barmaid tensed and froze in place as a warmth spread throughout her body and settled in her face, turning her cheeks a rosy red.

As Seth retreated, green eyes followed his blue and lingered there a time before lowering to his lips as he began to speak, his words falling on deaf ears. Shiress licked her lips, attempting to taste any remnants of the kiss as Seth Lean forward and lowered his voice. It was all the girl could do to not attack the boy right then and there.

As soon as he had spoken his last word, Shiress Lost any control she thought she had and wrapped her hands around his collar and pulled him towards her. "That wasn't near good enough." She said breathlessly, lowering her lips to his and giving him a much longer and much harder kiss then he had given her.

As their lips separated, Shiress smiled and laughed softly, letting her fingers trail down his chest to readjust his shirt before she spoke. "I won't tell...I promise."
