Fallon froze for a moment, feeling the movement of the girl as she came too. Or at least until she flinched away in surprise. The squire shuffled awkwardly for a moment, hands withdrawing as she flexed the digits once more. They were far from returning to their normal state, slow and sluggish in movement in comparison to their normal speed. Grimacing she made herself stand, whilst her eyes looked about the rest of the alley. People were starting to appear, observers hovering at the end of the alley, looking for an answer to what had happened here. It was when the knight came that the squire reacted. Pulling herself away she stood to attention, her hands clasped firmly behind her back. She gave a swallow, and begun her explanation of the events.
“Ser, I was approached by this girl who said she needed help and protection. In less than a chime afterwards this large man launched me into the wall and was carrying her away,” she paused as she tried to remember the events through her throbbing head “I managed to get up and give an alarm, and in doing so he lowered the girl. He looked like he was going to fight, but then changed his mind when he realised that the knights would be coming. He fled in the direction of that ‘halt’ came from a chime or two ago.”
There was a wince, her fingers pulling away and rubbing at the back of her head. If the knight required her to go and serve she would do that, but until then she would remain as attentive and alert to the scenario as possible. She had to be, if not for the public then for her own sake. She could not afford to slip up. Clearing her throat, she spoke up, “Anything else Ser?”
