This time around the human has no right to be surprised with what happens next. Under his gentle kiss and sweet embrace, Uleru begins to change. Her jaw squares off, her hair is resorbed into her back and becomes shorter, and her shoulders widen in his arms. She is swiftly changing into a man. A handsome young man, mind, using a mental blueprint of a huge Akalak she once met. And to complete this vindictive transformation, she finishes off with a new protrusion from her pelvis that can only be described as a massive erection (the kind that would make even the most well endowed man, and indeed horse, wither in shame) which awkwardly jabs against Zadok's groin. She locks him into an embrace before he can squirm away.
"Ya gonna turn around for me 'darlin?" she growls with a horrible, pseudo-suductive voice, only to bark with laughter.
When he pulls away she flicks his forehead with her new meaty fingers, smiling with an evil, shit-eating grin, naturally, but clearly annoyed all the same. "Pay attention, and stop being such a twat. Any more dire predictions and I swear to Laviku I will drown you just to speed things along. We will get you out of here, alright? And for gods sake put your clothes back on or you're leaving them behind."
Chastisment complete, she rubs the heels of her hands against her eyes as if to dislodge a brilliant plan of her own. And the frustrated Otani puts all the concentration she can muster to the task.
Zadoks description of the creature rings a long forgotten bell. A conversation she overheard as an old Syliran man described a monster that "stole me pony, me cart, and me wife in one fell swoop!" to a crew of disbelieving Sevfra. What did he call it? Kiatal? Kriital? No, doesn't matter. How do we get past it? How do you distract a shark, or a whale?
With bait."That's it! It's getting dark outside, right? The first thing this creature will see is me. If you can be quiet, you can get ashore unmolested." but that doesn't solve the problem of what to do when the creature does get it's claws into her... "And when you are ashore, if you can use Reimancy to wound it, or at least startle it, then I can have enough time to change shape and get away. If you book it into the trees and stay low as well, then you can slink off back to the city too."
This plan is not perfect, not by a long shot, but it's all she can conjure from the well of strategic planning. She raises a thick, translucent eyebrow. "Well? I can give you enough air to get above water at least. But then you're on your own. Think we can do it?"
