Time Stamp : 8th day of Summer, 513AV, Dawn
Location: The Cobalt Mountains, Silkwater Lake
Who: Fubuki Kouri

Leaving the main gates of the city, Solin adjusted his quiver, short bow, and tulwar before he continued due east into the Bronze Wood. Solin was wearing his leather armor, but the damage to the chest during his mercenary job deeply deteriorated the protection value the armor had gave him. He would have gotten it fixed, but he needed the money from another hunt to cover the damages to the armor. Ever since the job, Solin hadn't felt like himself with the constant aching in his chest from the sword slash, and the most damaging wound he suffered was emotional. The kelvic had a heavy feeling in his heart ever since he turned his back on the slaves when they needed him the most. It was a callous act of cruelty on his part for not lifting a hand to secure the freedom of fifty slave let alone one. Fubuki, the spirit, was more of a hero than him since she was able to save at least one. As he walked across dirt road to the edge of the forest, Solin thought to himself in frustration,
“It would have been so simple to lift his sword if I just lifted my sword to break the lock!” However, the kelvic decided to keep his sword sheathed and did nothing to help the captives in their cages. When he tried to justify his non-action to Myrian woman Kaie, and at the same time, he felt like a part of him died inside. He wouldn't have admit to the rest of the mercenaries in his party since it would be a sign of weakness to the rest of them, and their leader Razkar was already in a heated discussion with the powerful spirit. In the end, he was powerless to save the slaves, and he acted like a coward when he should have spoke his mind to the warrior Razkar.

Walking for about an bell, Solin could start to see the light of sun starting peak over the horizon. It was a beautiful sight, and to some people around the world it was a sign of rebirth. To him, it was just another sunrise in his purposeless life. As he walked through the forest, he started to wish that he was just a animal since they were the freest of creatures since they didn't have the burden of the laws and morality of civilization to deal with everyday. If he was just a wolf, he would be running with his pack, hunting for his food everyday, and living off the land with no need from humanity with their laws, culture, or selfish desires. However, Solin knew he would never completely be a wolf since he isn't truly a wolf at all. No, the kelvics were a creation of human or gods, and their only purpose in life is to serve the whims of their bond mates. To make matter worse, Solin was starting to think the kelvic race were slaves to their own nature because their creators programmed the yearning for someone else into them. Sadly for five years, Solin had tried to hold onto his freedom for as long as he could, but in the end, he still couldn't escape the chains of yearning for another person in his life. As he walked through the underbrush, the kelvic started to think to himself that maybe he should just bond with any to escape the hole in his soul, but he knew that he was coward since he didn't want to choose the wrong bond-mate either and suffer under the hand of the wrong person. Lost in thought and decisions, Solin started heading north to his favorite hunting grounds, Silkwater Lake.

[Silkwater Lake] Lost Soul (Fubuki)

Fubuki Kouri

Two days after the ambush, the little ghost girl didn't feel any guilt or remorse at all. She was absolutely content with saving just Kriemhild, her new Nuit maid, the rest of those slaves? That didn't cross her mind anymore. It was a proof on how still very disturbingly child-like Kouri was, seeing serious matters such as the matters of life and death as fun and games. This child-like amorality combined with her immense power was what made her truly dangerous, she could massacre a whole camp, provided there are no decent spiritists, giggling happily all the way, and no one could stop her.

"So, Kriemhild... can I go inside you~?" Kouri was walking alongside her Nuit maid and her sister, Rena, at the Bronze Woods, taking a casual stroll, Kouri needed one after killing so much humans. Kriemhild was also wearing a new pretty black-white lolita dress, complete with the cute hair ribbon, stockings, and shoes. It was very obvious on who chose and bought the Nuit's new clothing.

"Of course, Mistress... I have some talents in keeping ghosts inside me... you should feel less tired than trying to control other people..." The seemingly emotionless female Nuit spoke. Though limited, she had some ability in Spiritism, it was at least good enough to provide daily soulmist snacks for the ghostly sisters and help Kouri train her posession ability, which was utterly lagging behind her other powers.

"Sis! Ehehehe~ So Kriemy is like Madame Isolde, right? A... uhm... Na... No... Nuit! Yeah, a Nuit!" Rena spoke happily while holding Kriemhild's soulmist-covered hands.

"Yes, Young Mistress... I'm a Nuit" Kriemhild spoke matter-of-factly, she wasn't even curious and tried to ask on who Isolde was. Kriemhild sat down on the ground and faced Kouri "Alright, Mistress... I'm ready, try to stay calm and synchronize with me..." She closed her eyes and concentrated to relax herself, to allow Kouri's limited ability in possessing to succeed.

"Un! Now then..." Kouri whispered to Kriemhild's ears and closed her eyes as well, she then extended her hands and they went inside the Nuit, synchronizing with her soul, she would have to successfully take control of Kriem's astral body. Good thing Kriemhild was a spiritist, so she was familiar in the matter of ghostly powers. "Ah... an..." The ethereal little girl moaned as she literally wriggled herself into the Nuit's body. Rena just watched in awe, a bit worried at both of their well-beings.

A few chimes later...

"....." Kriemhild's eyes slowly opened and she exhaled an unneeded breath, a grin grew upon her sickly pale lips, an expression so rare for the Nuit that could only mean the possession had succeeded. "Rena! Ehehehe~" The Nuit giggled, that already cemented the fact that her sister was now in control.

"Sis! You did it!" The younger ghost jumped up and down, materialized herself, and hugged Kriemhild/Kouri. The possessed Nuit hugged back and began to stand up "Let's continue our walk, Rena!" She took the first step and almost fell down "Woah... ehehehe... I have to... be more careful..." Her limited ability was akin to a novice puppeteer, she still have to learn getting used to a corporeal body, which was affected by body balance and gravity. After fumbling for a bit, Kriem/Kouri took Rena's hand and they continued their walk in the Woods.

Not long after that... Silkwater Lake

"Hmhmhm~ hey... is that?" Kriem/Kouri turned her pitch-black eyes (including the sclera) to the right and found... her white-haired wolf Kelvic friend, not Ama, but the one she worked together at the ambush, Sir Solin. He was sitting by the Silkwater Lake.

"Uhm... your friend, Sis?" Rena asked, also curious about the white-haired young man.

"Yes, Rena! It's Sir Solin! Let's go meet him!" Kriem/Kouri almost fell down again, but stopped herself "Woah... woah... okay, stay calm..." She walked slowly and carefully, approaching Solin from the side as to not surprise him. "Sir Solin! Heeeeeey~ Ehehehe~" Kouri forgot that she was still in Kriemhild's body...

When Solin made it the lake shore, the kelvic immediately unstrapped his quiver, his backpack, and tulwar scabbard and placed them careful on the grass. Solin took off his composite short bow, and he immediately started to inspect his bowstring for any fraying. When he was done checking for fraying, he immediately started to test the tension of his bowstring, and the tension didn't feel like it needed any adjusting. When he was done checking the bowstring, he immediately started to inspect the wood for any stress cracks and fractures. He remembered buying the bow in Riverfall a few years ago, but over time he knew from just use could cause the wood to deteriorate over time. Solin couldn't see anything wrong with the wood. He careful placed the bow on the ground, and he started to inspect his arsenal of arrows. Solin carefully picked up a arrow and started to check if the wood was chipped, cracked, fractured, or warped, so it wouldn't fly straight. He examined the three feathers on the arrows to see if they were aligned correctly on the wood, and he examined the metal tips of his hunting and broad tipped arrows to see if they were loose or dull. When he finished examining his arrows, Solin decided to take a breather and watch a pair of seagulls soar over the water and thought to himself,
“I should try bow fishing today too since it is warm enough.”

Solin watched the waves crash on the beach, and he started to feel a sense of peace wash over him. It was nice to be away from civilization, and he wished he didn't have a need to go to the city because if it were up to him, he would spend the rest of his days out in the wilderness. Suddenly, he heard someone clomping through the underbrush, and he turned around to see a little girl with completely black eyes walking towards him. The kelvic hand immediately went to his dagger hilt thinking the girl was a creature of the Undead God. Suddenly, the awkward girl spoke his name, and he recognized the voice as Fubuki, so he let his hand fall from his dagger hilt. When the kelvic saw the little girl, he recognized it as the slave from the caravan. Solin stood up and watched the spirit awkwardly navigate towards him through the forest towards him. As he watched whole scene, he felt like he was watching a porcelain doll try to walk for the first time, so he decided to help her out and offer the young lady a hand. Once he made it to them, he offered them a hand and said with a amused smile, “Take my hand, Fubuki. Are you here for a swim?” Solin knew it was a bad joke, and he hoped the spirit didn't find the joke offensive since she was dead. The kelvic lead the young girl over to his equipment and said to her with a wave of his hand, “Welcome to my camp for the night, Fubuki and...?” Solin frowned to himself as he strained to remember the slave's name, so he asked with a weary smile on his face, “May I ask you your name young lady?”

Fubuki Kouri

OOCSolin, Kriem's voice would not change to Kouri, even while possessed. Nothing physically changes from a possessed person. :)

"Ehehe~" Kriem/Kouri fumbled to the kelvic while Rena held her maid/sister's right hand. Kriem/Kouri was really excited at the prospect of meeting her friend, but Rena was still a bit cautious, just a bit though as she knew her sister's friend would be her own friend in the end. "Ehe- Ah!" Kouri was too excited and her puny control over Kriem's body went faulty, she fell down on the soft grasses, grumbling on why didn't she train this particular ability of hers earlier.

"Oh... Ehehe~" Kriem/Kouri lifted her head to see Solin offering his hand to her. Kriem/Kouri slowly took it and giggled, like a princess being helped by her prince, Kriemhild's pure black eyes stared at Solin's bright blue. Rena just giggled and watcher her sister fumbling with their maid's body. "Eh? Me and Rena can swim, but... I don't know if Kriemy can swim though... ehehe~" Kouri them seemed to be thinking, but she was actually having a conversation inside Kriem's mind "Oh! She said that she couldn't swim, it's bad for her body she said! Ehehe~" Being a Nuit, getting wet was not good for Kriemhild, it would accelerate the decomposition process and she would have to procure for another body.

"So, you recognize that I'm Kouri? Ehehe~ nice..." Kriemhild/Kouri smiled and sat down on the ground beside Solin, the Nuit closed her eyes and then... Kouri's ethereal body came out of her like a soul escaping its body. "A... aah..." Kouri moaned again as she relinquished her control over Kriem's body, she also sat down beside the maid and Rena immediately ran over to hug her older sister "Sis~ You're back~!" Back as in... not "inside" another person's body. Kriemhild exhaled in exhaustion, being possessed by a ghost who still had much to learn in possession was tiring, good thing she was a Spiritist. All in all, three dead girls, two ghosts and one nuit, were now with the wolf kelvic.

"Ehehe! Sir Solin! This is Rena, my little sister~" Kouri ruffled the adorable younger ghost's hair, Rena giggled and curtsied before Solin "I'm Rena, Sir Solin! Nice to meet you~"

"And, this is my maid, her name is Kriemhild!" Kouri gestured to the Nuit as she introduced her. Kriemhild just slowly faced Solin and nodded "Kriemhild..." The former slave knew this white-haired young man was one of the mercenaries that attacked the slaver caravan, but she wasn't interested in knowing more.

"So, Sir Solin! What are you doing here today? Ehehe~ Camping? Fishing? Or... hunting?" The excited ghost girl asked the kelvic.

When Solin lead the girl to the edge of the lake, the kelvic noticed the girl had the same demeanor as Fubuki, but she sounded like a completely different person. Solin smiled down at the former slave girl and said with a laugh,
“It was a joke, Pup.” Solin reached up, put a lock of his white hair behind his ears, and said with a snicker, “If you spend more time with me, Fubuki, you will notice that I tend to make horribly atrocious jokes and the worst possible times. It is a bad habit of mine.” Solin had to admit that it was a unnerving to have a conversation with a dead person, but the kelvic knew the spirit inhabiting the girls body had no intention of harming him in anyway, so he decided to take a sit across the pale human girl. Suddenly, Fubuki's ethereal form emerged from pale girls body and sat beside the pale human. When they were both situated, Solin was about to say something, but he was interrupted when another spirit materialized out of nowhere and jumped into Fubuki's arms. During their short conversation, Solin heard younger girl call Fubuki sister. The kelvic had no clue if he had any brothers or sisters, so he intrigued that their relationship was strong enough to continue in the afterlife. When Fubuki introduced the younger girl as Rena, Solin have the little girl a bow of his head in respect and said politely, “I never had the love of a brother or sister in my short life, so it refreshing to see that the bonds of love shared by two siblings transcend even death. My name is Solin Valhir a hunter of the Bronze Woods. It is a pleasure to meet you, Rena.” When Fubuki introduced Kriemhild, Solin noticed the young girl had no intention of joining the conversation, so he just said with nod, “It a pleasure to meet you, Kriemhild.”

When introductions were over, Fubuki quickly asked her questions for him being here. Solin picked up his quiver and started to gently place his arrows back into the quiver. He smiled at his friend and said with a nods, “Yes, I plan on making camp here, and in the afternoon, I will be hunting along forest on the north shore of the lake. In the evening, I will be going bow fishing to catch some supper.” The kelvic smirked and said with a silly grin, “Hopefully, I don't shoot myself in the foot because it would be a long painful walk back to Syliras.” For a moment, Solin looked at Fubuki and asked with a smile, “Fubuki, did your father or you mother teach you how to hunt? I am curious because I was wondering if you would like to join me today?” The kelvic was curious about the power spirit ever since the mercenary mission, they were both a part of. Even though, Fubuki was a powerful killing machine, however, Solin noticed the spirit had a innocent quality about her. If she were alive, she would be just like any other little girl, but now since she is dead, Fubuki seemed to be stuck in time. To the Solin, it was sad because he felt like his life was passing by to quickly. When he first came to Syliras at five mouths, Solin was just a kid around Fubuki's age, but today at five years old, he felt like a man in his late twenties. The kelvic looked at two spirits and the strange girl and said with a smile, “Fubuki would your family like to join me tonight and have a fire?”

Fubuki Kouri

"I... I also used to never have a brother or sister, Sir Solin... at least... we became like this..." Her voice contained an obvious tinge of sadness. Kouri was an only daughter, but the source of her sadness was not the fact that she had no blood siblings, it was that she met Rena when they were both already dead. If Fate had been kinder, perhaps she would adopt Rena, while still being a true pureblood Vantha with two loving parents.

"U-uhm... N-nice to meet you too, Sir Solin!" Rena politely gave her gretting and to brighten up the forlorn situation, Kriemhild just nodded and turned her head back to the lake, her gaze seemingly empty and disinterested in anything whatsoever.

"Eh? Hunt?" Obviously the little girl had never been taught to "hunt". She was a member of the Snowsong Hold, no the Frostfawn. She had been taught in the art of singing, musical composition, and carving. She excelled in the first and second, but utterly terrible in the third; she just had no talent in shaping wood, she carved a polar bear once, her friends thought it was a fish. All in all, the little girl had zero experience in the proper way to hunt, but ironically... she hunted very well, how? Her ghostly abilities of course, but she was more fitting to be called "Exterminator" than "Hunter" as she killed indiscriminately and left her victims utterly mutilated by her daggers.

"Uhm... No, Sir Solin. Papa, Mama, and I were Snowsongs, we specialize in music and carving. The hunters are in the Frostfawn Hold, do you know about Hold, Sir Solin? It's like uhm... a tribe, yeah! A tribe that specializes in certain kind of jobs!" She giggled, explaining about Vantha history was always exciting to her. Her mother, Sora, was rather strict in raising her only daughter. Sora had great expectations for Kouri, teaching her to act like a noblewoman and... it was obvious on where did Kouri's elaborate dress came from. One could only wonder if Sora secretly wanted to dress up Kouri like a real doll.

If the Vantha knew how her only daughter ended up currently, maybe she would faint in shock, the innocent little girl who couldn't even hurt a fly had developed into a giggling, slightly insane, killing machine with the veil of the very same innocent girl.

"Yes! Ehehe~ I'd like to hunt with you! Rena, would you like to come?" Kouri knew Kriemhild would not be interested in strenuous physical activities, the Nuit seemed to be in a perpetual state of drowsiness.

"Umu... It's okay, Sis, I'll just play with Kriemy, is that okay? But I want to have a fire together though!" Rena was not really interested in the act of killing as well. Not yet... the younger ghost girl was still innocent, in the future however...

"Okay then! Ehehe~ Soooo... Sir Solin! I'll be the one coming with you on your hunt! Please teach me!" The older ghost girl approached the Kelvic and floated beside him, ready to learn the "proper" way of hunting. Rena would stay by Kriemhild's side at the Lake.

OOCKouri would be following and observing you hunt. :)
