Stretching northward along the coastline of the Suvan Sea, the Cobalt Mountains are the home of the Bronze Wood, numerous ruins, and creatures both strange and fantastical.

Kaie's eyes lit up as she watched the tiger landing where his branch no longer laid. She could see it all happening before it did. The tiger's eyes going bug eyed, the growling, the flailing paws all the way to the ground where she'd hear it. That thud or maybe even that satisfyingly sick crack of bone if she was lucky. Of course that's before the tiger dug deep into the trunk and somehow managed to hang on.
Shyke. Just why? He's not going to keep pursuing me up this damn tree is he?!
Kaie almost groaned audibly but instead simply narrowed her eyes in displeasure. She immediately turned and hoped to find a new perch high than the last. Her goal was simply to get as far away from the beast as she could. It was her best bet. He could hear the growl and she hastily gripped the next highest branch and swung herself up, doing her best to keep her balance. It swung haphazardly under her weight, an expected result considering she was getting rather high where branches were weaker.
The Myrian woman turned, expecting to see jaws agape and claws spread to tear her to bits. Yet there was nothing. Only the rustle of the branches as the tiger leaped from one to the next on his way to the ground. Why had he suddenly run off like that? Had he finally realized it was hopeless and lost interest?
She waited several moments before she realized he had actually gone. Then came immediately laughter. Kaie sheathed her gladius and lowered herself a few branches down before it really began. She had to make sure she was in a place that wouldn't snap under the shaking she'd cause. The woman sat on the tree arm with on hand braced on the trunk, practically doubled over in laughter. Near death experiences against a deadly animal do that. That disbelief she had dodged that one was still not real to her. She sighed deeply, grinning to herself victoriously.
The Myrian placed her back against the trunk, reclining back lazily with one leg hanging off the branch. She was still digesting the previous events, adrenaline still rushing through her despite her hysterics. Otherwise she looked absolutely carefree. Even when the foot steps came.
Kaie looked down toward the sounds, finding a single guy with a knuckleduster in his fists. She stared at him blankly, eyes darkening though she still appeared completely unnerved. What the hell did this kid want? First a tiger and now some random guy?
"Can I help you?" She asked, staring down at him expectantly waiting for an explanation of what he was doing there.
If you're looking to get your ass kicked, just say so.

Sei began to laughed, stopped, and looked at the Myrian woman with scorn. "Worthless Myrian." He muttered. As he was walking back, he heard the Myrians' hysterical laughter, as she climbed down to a lower bush. Obviously she hadn't realized he was Kelvic, and in her mind, he probably backed off. "You lousy piece of trash! Get down here!" He shouted. How dare she think he had abandoned his prey? How dare she think of him so lowly?
Sei's eyes boiled with rage, and he balled his fists, the knuckledusters squeezing his knuckles. He looked her directly in the eye and spoke. "You think a hunter would give up on his prey?" He said coldly. He was scowling, showing his elongated teeth, and fitted his knuckledusters. "Today you DIE Myrian." he hissed. He was fuelled by rage, and he refused to let it go until blood was spilt.

Ah, another Kelvic. So the tiger came back for more? Kaie wasn't necessarily surprised, really. She'd had plenty of surprise shifter encounters. This one was just more entertaining, that was for sure.
She could see how her amusement had set him off, his hands balling up into fists like a child pre-tantrum. The sight rewarded him with another small round of laughter before she was up and moving. She stood up on her branch, balancing herself before she made her way down. Kaie leaped from the last branch and landed gracefully on the ground, knees bending to avoid injury. She stood back up with a smirk, doing her best not to completely laugh in his face again. As he sat there, fuming and spitting empty threats at her, she shrugged off her backpack and balanced it on a low branch. Preparing herself to face the guy.
The Myrian shrugged her shoulders, rolled her neck, and shook out her wrists to warm up. Reminding her body it was time to go. Kaie lowered into her fighting stance, feet staggered and shoulder width apart with knees bent. Her hands came up to guard her face, elbows close to her body to protect her sides. She was ready. This is what she trained for. He had no idea what he was up against.
"You couldn't beat me on four legs. Let's see how well you do on two," She taunted with a grin, eyeing her competitor lazily. Two fingers extended from her hand, gesturing him to come at her.

Sei watched as the Myrian woman stood shakily onto the branch and made her way down. He stared at her intensely, a wicked grin played his mouth. His eyes still boiled with rage, but he unclenched his fists, and relaxed his features. The Myrian stood confidently, her eyes on par with his own, as she waited for him to make a move. She removed her bag and pushed it to the side, shrugged her shoulders, rolled her neck, and waited for his approach.
Sei took a moment to observe her features, fixing his eyes on the sword that hacked the branch clean through. It was clear that she wasn't going to use a weapon, and this made him wonder why she would hunt him anyway. He narrowed his eyes and advanced toward her, lashing out with his right hand, and aiming for her gut. He had speed, but he was also careful to make sure she wasn't faster. He continued his assualt, and thrust his knee upward, so if she doubled over he had a second blow. He didn't stop there , however, and swung behind her swiftly, trying to elbow her back. He then kicked at the back of her knee caps, trying to land blows in one swift motion.
Sei payed no attention to wether the blows hit or not, knowing that this would shake his concentration and give the Myrian an opening. He jumped back, took a deep breath, and shifted his weight to his right. He then braced himself for a comeback, keeping his eyes on her movements.

Sei was surprised. The woman slid back, and in one swift motion, punched him in the face and kneed his stomach. He recovered quickly, gaining his coposure and twisting around with a kick, aiming for her shoulder. She wasn't bad. All his other opponents would stay in one place and get hit. He turned his head up and punched at the womans stomach. He was sturdy, and well built, but that didn't matter. "Who are you?" He said, dishing out another kick. |

Her attack was successful and she felt it, that pleasure she got when she created contact. The way she hammered off on his face with her fist gave her a twinge of satisfaction. Of course she didn't take that as immediate victory. This fight was far from over.
He returned with a swift kick for her shoulder. She couldn't help but smile, feeling like she was training back in Taloba again. Training deep within the jungles with her father, even. So when this kick came she saw two moves ahead of him. She stepped her left lead foot back and parried his kick past her with her back hand. Crossing him over himself, leaving him practically defenseless, Kaie continued with a clever counter.
Immediately her lead fist came straight in with a strike to the side of his throat, then following in almost simultaneously with a knee low to his thigh. The punch was merely a distraction. The knee to his thigh would nail the place right below his hips. A spot packed tight with nerve endings that would cause his leg to cramp up if she hit it just right. With their close proximity, she doubted she would fail.
"I could ask you the same question!" She growled as she prepared for any kind of repercussion, hands back to her guard position.

Sei couldn't understand. Why couldn't he keep up? It was only a Myrian woman. He bent back but she caught his leg and left him defenseless. She struck his throat, and as he gasped for air, she struck his thigh with her knee, causing his leg to buckle. Just who the petch was she?
Sei recovered quickly, ducking low and coming up with his palm to smack against her chin. He rotated to her right and aimed to kick her side, hoping to leave her open for a few seconds. As he moved around, he felt the thrill of the challenge, even though he was on the losing end.
Sei rolled around to strike her back, but his leg cramped, and he was crippled momentarily. He put his pain to the side and began another assault. "Who are you? And why were you firing arrows at me?" He hissed, aiming for the left side of the Myrians' face.

Sei had only nicked her with his palm, and she caught his kick, harshly kicking him in his stomach. He winced and she let go, giving both time to recover. "Don't lie to me! That arrow was inches from my head!" He hissed evenly. He twirled around with a kick, hoping to move her arms away, and punched at her stomach.
"At least tell me wo you are!" He spat. Twirling to face her, looking her in the eye breifly before aiming to elbow her stomach. He then jumped back, somewhat out of range and spoke. "You fight well. I'm Sei." he declared, and rushed back into her.
