Another night in Zinarh, and the Dhani were busy at work. There was a shipment coming in and a very important visitor arriving at the nest as well. But as it had been for a long time, they had the Myrians to worry about, and as any Dhani would say, they never sleep. A plan was put into action, a way of off setting the jungle monkeys and throwing them off the right path. Mamoru along with two other Dhani were tasked with being bait and luring the patrol away from the arriving Dhani with the shipment in toe.
"One of thessse daysss, Thessse monkeysss will no longer be a threat..."
Mamoru commented to his guard brothers, though neither seemed interested in responding. They were soldiers, not thinkers, and even if they were they didn't see how it was possible. It seemed the whole of the jungle was breeding ground for the Myrians, and their numbers surpassed anything that they had ever seen. The job of a guard was hard, and all they looked to do was protect those on the inside of the cave from the savage brutes on the outside. A war didn't seem likely to go in their favor.
"The sstrong ssilent typesss aye? If you're going to be ssso quiet, then maybe you want to sscout ahead and make sure that the path is clear. We wouldn't want to be ambusshed."
The other two Dhani glanced at each other, before turning back and glaring at Mamoru. They weren't sure who had made him the lead, but as they thought over their orders, they realized that this gave them a good reason to leave the trickster behind. With a nod of their heads, both Dhani slithered off into the undergrowth and left him alone. Mamoru sighed and folded his arms as he looked around. "It'ss sso hard to find good help thessse daysss."
Turning to look behind him, the Dhani thought about the path that the Dhani were coming in an attempt to slip into the nest without the Myrians finding them. It was going to be a risky night.
