Sei Tendo Roderick dismissed Sei's comment and ordered him to try again. "Yes mom," He said, aiming another arrow. He brushed his nose, and shot the arrow through the trees. Keeping his position, he waited for the thud of the arrow into the bark. After the thud he looked between the trees. He'd hit the arrow inches away from his previous arrow in two. "Is it still luck mom?" He mocked with a smug grin. Sei ran over to the tree and removed the arrow. It came out intact and he groaned. "So," Sei began. "I'm guessing I have to keep buying arrows right?" He said angrily.

OOCDon't forget a mouth guard!

"Yes mom," the Kelvic said cheekily, aiming another arrow. He let it brush his nose and then shot it off into the trees; Sei kept his stance until they heard the thud of the arrow on bark - both of them looked through to see where it had landed; it was stuck into the bark right beside his previous one, "Is it still luck mom?" Sei mocked with a grin. The Kelvic ran over to the tree and removed the arrow. It came out broken and he groaned. "So," Sei began. "I'm guessing I have to keep buying arrows right?" "Well..." Roderick said with a little grin, standing his bow straight and leaning on it slightly, "We could keep breaking our arrows on these trees..." he smiled more, "Or you could loan me five gold mizas so I can buy us a proper target." not a huge sum the Kelvic had to give, and compensation for the bruises the hunter had been given, "That would let us do our little lessons anywhere he wanted. Do this for me and I'll stand on my head and sing for you."

OOCSorry, but yeah, we really should buy a target for them to use; shooting arrows into trees is something you really want to avoid in real life.

Sei Tendo Sei groaned, and searched his pockets. He pulled out fixe gold mizas and handed them to Roderick. "I guess we're meeting up again tomorrow. We're at this time?" He asked. He wasn't happy about wasting money on a target, so when he handed over the money he frowned. Better than buying arrows repeatedly. He thought. He looked at Roderick and spoke. "I my opinion, we should meet back here. More space, less people." He said.

OOCYou have the money, so get going! And let's keep the thread going a little longer to maximize the experience gained.

Sei groaned and began digging around in his pockets. He pulled five gold mizas out and handed them over to Roderick, who accepted them readily, "I guess we're meeting up again tomorrow. We're at this time?" the Kelvic was audibly unhappy about loaning the money, but he'd get over it, "In my opinion, we should meet back here. More space, less people." Roderick nodded in agreement, "Just so," he said, "But we're not done yet." he gestured at the tree, "On you go," he said with a smile.

OOCThe next session will have to be later in the day; Roderick already has a thread running on the 50th where he is teaching another person how to use a bow.

Sei Tendo "Bum.." Sei muttered, reaching for an arrow, and sliding back the bow string. He launched the arrow through the trees, and held his position. When he heard the thud, he searched the tree with his eyes. It was a few inches off, but to him it was close enough. Luckily, when he removed the arrow it didn't break. He walked back to Roderick and tried again. If I hold it to the corner of lips, He thought, pulling the same arrow back on the bowstring. And use my index finger as a guide, He wondered, and pointed his index finger in a parrel point to his arrow. Take aim. He thought, and launched the arrow, keeping his stance as he watched the arrow meet the target. "Alright!" He had used logic and intelligence, and it had actually worked. Sei ran to the arrow, and tried to remove it. It finally slipped out and he added it to his quiver. He ran back to Roderick so he could gloat. "Didn't you say you had to use a shortbow first?" He said smugly. "If I were you, I'd practice as well." He said with a wicked grin.

"Bum.." Sei muttered, notching and drawing. He held his position as the arrow was launched between the trees. There as a thud and Roderick saw the arrow had wedged itself into the bark; this time Sei managed to pull it free without breaking it. He returned to Roderick's side and started again. It was a few inches off, but to him it was close enough. Luckily, when he removed the arrow it didn't break. He walked back to Roderick and tried again. Drawing again, the other hunter was pleased when the Kelvic's arrow struck the tree again; hitting the tree was good, though they weren't too close to the center. "Alright!" Sei said happily, running to the arrow and tugging away as he tried to remove it. When it finally slipped free he returned it to his quiver and came over to Roderick, "Didn't you say you had to use a shortbow first?" he gloated, "If I were you, I'd practice as well," the Kelvic grinned wickedly. "Another word," Roderick said flatly, "And I'll box your ears so hard you'll spend the rest of your life drooling in a chair." there was no poison in the barb, just like there wasn't really any bite to the Kelvic's insults, "Now get moving with that bow; I'm hungry and right now roast tiger sounds wonderful."

Sei Tendo Sei looked dull and Roderick, and turned away. "You should be proud not angry." He said smugly, reaching for an arrow, and the arrow with his finger, he aimed at the tree. The arrow soared and hit the tree. He still hadn't hit the center however, but he was soaked with sweat. He wiped his face and walked over to his backpack, and taking out his waterskin, he gulped the water like air. "Phew.." He murmured. He ploped to the ground and sighed. "Whelp, see you tomorrow." He said, standing up. He collected his belongings, and started to head for the gate before he called out: "Don't be late sleeping beauty."

[Roderick]

"You should be proud not angry." Sei said smugly, reaching for an arrow and notching it to the string. It soared through the air and hit the trunk of the tree - still not in the center, but any shot that landed was a good thing. The Kelvic wiped the sweat from his forehead and made his way over to his backpack; Roderick felt the sweat coating his own skin. Sei took out his waterskin and gulped the water down, "Phew..." he said to himself; he dropped to the ground and sighed. "Whelp, see you tomorrow." Sei stood up again, making Roderick wonder why he had sat down in the first place, then collected his things and started making his way towards the gate; as he went he called out over his shoulder, "Don't be late sleeping beauty." "Petching cat..." Roderick smirked to himself and started gathering together all of his things; he'd go and buy the archery target now before he saw something else that demanded his money. A few chimes later he had pack, rucksack and bow slung about his chest, his cloak dangling from one shoulder. For some reason he started singing some little tune he'd heard from somewhere. "And he ran around from here to there, the king's fool with the bells in his hair!"
