Known as the Celestial Seat, Nyka is a religious city in Northern Sylira. Ruled by four demigods and traversed by a large crevice, the monk-city is both mystical and dangerous. [Lore]

Savio felt incredibly uneasy as he followed both Seryk and the monk into the Warfields. Why in Tavasi’s name would a Nykan child come into the Warfields? Something must have made him enter, because the children here had a healthy respect and fear of the maze thanks to their elders’ warning.
They came up to the fork in the path, and Seryk decided the direction with a flip of a Laat. They were to go left. Savio kept his eyes open, allowing them to take the lead while he looked for clues of the child silently. Finding foot prints seemed illogical since there were many who have traversed the narrow walk ways since the child went missing. Maybe small hands print on the wall? Blood? Please, Tavasi, don’t let there be blood. Savio prayed silently.

x Franjo shrugged at the direction choice, and led the pair forward- before freezing. On the nearest corner, there was a small design, only a few inches across. It seemed to be painted in red paint, at least it was from a distance. It was messy, and there were still dribbles going down it. The monk of Uphis, after his short pause, quickly strode up to the mark, wiping his finger along it. Sniffing the red stuff smeared on his hand, he stopped once again.
He seemed to turn dark, more than before. Muttering so the two could only barely hear, he said "Blood. Human. Pretty fresh, considering..." He peeked around the corner, and right around it, at the next turn, was a similar symbol. "They're... showing the way?" He sounded confused. Very confused. He shook his head and quickly jogged down the path, obviously expecting his companions to follow him.
At every turn, there was a symbol, even when there was multiple options. There were so many. If either Savio or Seryk tried to count, it would reach 11 before Franjo halted. Partially for a break from the running, partially because the next was much larger. Half a foot in diameter. "This is nearly the center of the Warfields. Whatever this it, I don't like it..." He turned and glanced at the pair behind him. "I'm getting a feeling it's different around that corner. Or soon, anyways. Be prepared..."[/color]

Savio felt his hear start to race as he drew his dagger and kept close to the monk and Seryk. The Drykas had either gone silent from fear of concentration. Savio hoped for the latter. There was no telling what the next turn held in store for them. But if there was blood involved, then it wasn’t benevolent.
“Whoever it is, they are expecting company.“ Savio gulped as he kept his footsteps light and balanced so not to attract too much attention. There was no way he could fight someone directly. Seryk was right, he really should have gotten himself some armor and a better weapon.

As the trio turned the corner- they found the oddest sight indeed. In the intersection of four passages sat a pair of children- though it was slightly creepier than that. A black haired kid, obviously the one they had been searching for, lay in the middle, blood obvious in various places, and seemingly unconscious- or dead. The second was sitting above them, a large knife in hand, and a wide grin on her face. She had strawberry blond hair, down to the middle of her back, and an eerie expression that said: She wasn't normal. The room was empty, except in a single corner, where a large jam jar sat innocently.
As they appeared around the corner, the girl glanced up in surprise. Her grin turned into a scowl, and she stood up, backing up a few paces, still holding the knife in her hand. She hesitated, then launched the weapon straight at Franjo, but it was sent clattering to the ground. Realizing she was now weaponless, she turned and sprinted down the furthest corridor, grabbing the jam jar as she went. Within moments, she had disappeared around a corner.
Franjo, on the other hand, had tried to calm down the girl, but to no success. He'd nearly jumped out of his skin as the knife had been thrown at him, but regained his dignity when it missed miserably. When she ran away, he cursed, and pointed randomly at Savio. "You. Run. GET HER!" he seemed in a minor rage, but called down him and Seryk to tend to their original quarry.

Savio gasped when he saw the scene that lay before them. A chill ran down his back when he saw the little girl grin down at the bloodied boy like she had done something to be proud of until she saw them. She glared at them before backing up and throwing the large knife she had held at the monk. The monk looked spooked until he realized the knife has missed and the girl was getting away.
Franjo shouted at Savio to go after her, and the acrobat complied without a moment’s hesitation. His long legs ate up distance; many bells spent running all over the city had strengthened him so that he reached the turn at the end of the corridor in no time at all. His feet skid in the soft sand as he rounded the corner, still in hot pursuit of the wicked girl-child. He kept his eyes peeled for any sign of danger, along with the location of the girl. Why had she done that to the boy? Was she insane or was she even human? Whichever the case, Savio was going to find out as soon as he caught her.

The girl wasn't as fast as Savio, but she had the advantage of an early start, and that she knew where she was going. Luckily, there was only one turn with choices, but Savio would easily be able to spot his quarry heading down the left rather than the right. After that, there was two turns in quick succession, leaving the runner no view of his girl, before coming to a long, straight passage.
And there would still be no sign of her. Except... a pair of feet, barely five meters away, could be seen slipping into a hole in the walls near the ground. If Savio checked it out, the hole would be much to small for him to fit through, but he would catch a glance of the girl wriggling out the other side, and sprinting left down the corridor. There was no catching her now. All that was left was for Savio to... attempt... to make his way back to Franjo and Seryk. There was no guide for the courier, just his memory of how he'd gotten there in the first place.

Savio chewed on his lower lip in worry as he continued to walk in search of his companions. He had only made a few turns when he had chased the girl, how could he have gotten this lost? He was sure he had followed his trail perfectly but alas he was not where he had left the monk and Seryk.
"Petch!" Savio cursed to himself. He had long since drawn his dagger in case something jumped out at him. He knew next to nothing about how to fight with the weapon but it was better than nothing. He offered a silent prayer to Tavasi and any other benevolent who might have been listening. The sky was getting darker by the moment and Savio was still helplessly lost.
