Orion, 60th Day of Spring, 513 AV The Spinning Coin. For all the years Orion had lived in Syliras, he'd spent precious little time in this location. It just never held the appeal for him that the Stallion always had. Drinks flowed freely at either, but pretty women tended to grace the latter. Still, an experience just shy of a dozen days prior had changed his view, if only slightly. The cage fights. Cage fights with occasionally beautiful woman. Mud wrestling? Mud. Wrestling? How had he missed this diamond in the rough? Knight Captain Dinah Lorene was loathe to give her squire days off like this. The former doctor was a mess when it came to combat, and while he'd shown improvement since the beginning of the season, he was seasons away from being ready for his knighting quest. At this rate, she'd have the blue eyed man as her squire for a good while yet, and while his charm was something else, it would serve Syliras better for him to be serving as a knight, rather than a squire. Yet all work and no play would burn out a man like Orion, so she'd given him a day off. What was the worst which could happen? Orion had been spending most of the evening in conversation with a lovely, and well endowed blonde woman. She worked as a server and occasionally took a turn in the wrestling events. "I couldn't believe it," he said, sitting with arms crossed as the woman ate up each of his words. He wasn't a particularly skilled weaver of tales, but thankfully for Orion, the rather large bosom precluded the woman from needing a brain. "There I was, all alone in the Soothing Waters. The rest of the doctors were ill, which is quite the sad thing, considering their profession." Orion paused, a stupid grin plastered on his face. The blond stared at the squire, a perfect smile gracing her lips. "Uhh...moving on..Ahem. Anyways. There were three..no...four..no..There were eight knights brought into me, all suffering terrible wounds!" "Oh no!? Were they hurt?" She asked, bringing her hands to her mouth in shock. Gods she was beautiful, but there was more conversation with a rock. "Umm...yes, horribly! The man who brought them in said he was sure they were all going to die, but he said he'd at least give me a chance to see what i could do. I laughed in his face, and got to work. Tirelessly I performed surgery, closing up wounds, cleaning out injuries, stitching up cuts. And by the time the next morning roll around, guess what?" "You had breakfast?" "Arghh...ermm...Yes! But not before I'd saved each and every knight single handedly. You might say I've got magic hands." He gave the stupid blond a suggestive wink, but apparently subtlety meant nothing to her. "Wow! You're so amazing!" "...I know." Scooting slightly closer, the man slid his hand on the blonde's thigh. "I've got a few more stories to tell, if you'd like to join me on a walk." Maybe a straightforward approach would be the way to go. One could hope. |
