Common Vani Nari
The blue eyes rolled with a low scoff. Sure, the situation looked bad from Ricky's end. He was kicked out, didn't have any money, or very much with him to sleep outside of the city. But from Gale's perspective it was more like... he was kicked out and...he didn't have any money... or have very much to use to sleep outside the city. Oh alright, so it was bad. So what? You can't always have a friend bail you out in life. If you always got out easy, how would anyone grow? "Going through hardships is what helps people grow and learn. So even if I didn't have a place to stay, it wouldn't have been all bad." The man responded, putting his hands on his hips after running them through his curly hair.
Ricky dropped the topic and quickly suggested he get to unpacking. What was he, some sort of general now? The Zeltivan couldn't imagine being a worrier of any kind. Waveguard... Mmmm, that was a little different, but he couldn't imagine being one either. As Ricky noted, he wasn't the physical type. Now, if there was a job opening for an artistic guard for one reason or another, then he would consider it. Nonetheless, the thought was cut short and the fisherman held out his bag to him, which Gale took with an exaggerated swipe. "No, no, no, you have helped quite enough for one day." The blonde teased and gave the bag a once over. Flute, sketchbook, journal pages and letters, music book, eating knife, yep. It all seemed to be there.
A knock on the door had brought his attention back to the others in the room, which now was Telion and Ricky. Upon sight of the woman, the artist's mouth pressed into a flat line, almost as if he was holding his breath. It appeared that the incident back at the Grotto wasn't forgotten. What a disappointment. Gale was hoping to have a fresh start with their relationship, but since when did your plans ever go the way you want it to? Richard took the next step and started the introduction, adding a tidbit about the staying on the street thing. That only earned the murderer that awkward look that people get when they have no idea what you are talking about. Seriously, is there any other way to express that you think someone is crazy then to look at them as if they are stupid? It was completely degrading and highly disrespectful. At least in his eyes.
Gale's face contorted into a soft frown at the face, but it was quickly replaced by shock when her embrace finely took notice. Although he had magically turned into a wood plank, the Waveguard's little 'I told ya so' arose a silent mock of his words and a frown. The man wasn't exactly impressed by Telion's choice of words either. 'Good enough for me'? surely There could have been some other way to say that. Perhaps 'and good friend of Ricky is a good friend of mine', or ' Any friend of Ricky's is always welcome here'. But no. He was apparently 'good enough'. The artist knew that she more than likely didn't mean it personally, but perhaps it would do her some good if she took a tick or two to reword her sentences in her head before saying them.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Telion." The blonde stated, looking just as awkward as he had felt during the hug.
