Kelvics and Wilds!!

One quick question:

Since Kelvic are really animals that can turn into a human. Can they live in the wilds of Mizahar without worry outside what they normally would worry about?

Kelvics and Wilds!!

I think they’re able to live easier, but not without problems. Edelweiss is an elk; he would have more than just animals hunting him if he continued to stay in that form. What’s more he would need to be in an area that can support him. The Sea of Grass is okay, but he could not live there without becoming horridly ill from the lack of certain food and minerals.

Even animals can die from heat or cold; from predators and from bad food. Just because they're an animal, doesn't mean they know what to eat from the get go. Edelweiss knows he can eat tree bark because he read a book about elk; but he doesn't know if there are tree's that can poison him or even grass or berries.

If you really want a Kelvic to live in the wild I suggest getting the Wilderness Survival skill; let the Kelvic be in a place that will suit its animal form.

However Kelvic need to be around humans. Their whole life they’re always looking for a bond-mate. In the faqs it says it is what drives them so I think a Kelvic completely living in the wild wouldn't make much sense since Kelvic are not just animals but are human as well. No human truly wants to be alone. Add our basic desire to a Kelvics need to find its bond-mate and you have someone who isn't going to want to be far from cities and people.

Everyone is different of course but I don’t personally think it makes much sense for a Kelvic to keep away from cities where it’s safe.

I could be wrong, I am sure Goss will pop up here. ^^ She made the Kelvic so she would know!

Kelvics and Wilds!!

Well I didn't mean entirely alone in the wilds. I mean more like have a house in the wilds while regularly visiting or living near a city. As they are animals mostly, they would want to have the freedom of the nature around them and not be entirely in the city all the time, but as you said would be driven to seek out people.

So more of the question being. Could I live in the wilds of Mizahar outside of a city and use the city for what I need for learning and such, or would I have to live in the city? Yes if I were outside the city I would most certainly invest in the wilderness survival skill. :D

Thank you for help though. Much appreciated.

I dunno about that. Edelweiss loves to be out and about but he enjoys the safety and easy comforts of cities. There he can easily have a warm fire and sleep soundly knowing there are guards and watchmen around the city to protect him and everyone else from what lurks.

I have been told that there is no such things as small villages because it is so dangerous away from the cities. So with that I don’t think it would be a good idea to have a house built away from the city even if you make regular trips to it. It’s still too far for help to come if something attacks; be it human animal or other. Added that they might not even help because your character isn't part of the city.

Again I could be wrong, but I think just starting out you will find being in a city much easier until you slowly gain in skills. Edelweiss is not in a city at the moment only because he is going to another city. Till then he is under threat from all manner of things and I am crossing my fingers that he keeps safe.
