Character ConceptBeing only thirteen, Selva doesn't have a very thorough plan and tends to live very day to day oriented lifestyle. She is venturing to Riverfall to meet the Akalak, other races, and to simply get some exposure to the outside world. Selva likes helping people, and hopes to work on increasing her medical knowledge while in the city. She tends to be cautious about others at first, which she somehow links to her blindness, but she quickly warms up to those she finds trustworthy enough. Helping people with other injuries is her top priority, and Selva will disregard her caution to rush to the aid of another being. Selva values life above all else, and will do anything to preserve it.
Character HistorySelva is blind, and has been since birth. She has never met her father, and knows almost nothing about him. Her mother told Selva that he was an adventurer at heart, and he was only on the island a short time before Selva's mother and father fell in love, and she was conceived. Shortly after three months of her conception, her father left the island, and was not heard from again by anyone on the island. Selva's blindness led to her studies in medicine, in hopes that she could help others with problems that were curable.
Her Konti gift is the only thing allowing her to cope with her blindness. Since her childhood, she had never seen the world through here actual eyes, but perceived the world through sound. Selva's gift allowed her to see the world around herself by what could be best explained as a form of sonar. So long as Selva can make a sound, whether it be from her voice, hands, or feet, she could tell what they resounded off and her distance relative to them. Though it does not tell her exactly what the object is the sound is resounding off of, it gives her the shape, which she can easily recognize once she has familiarized herself with it a few times.
