Actually, you can have two or more threads happening on the same day; but you must ensure that in no way do they clash. If your PC is killed in the morning, you can't RP about having dinner at an inn in the evening. But if your PC returns as a ghost, you can be floating about the inn in the evening.

The two articles above nay be helpful. Kaie is following the article about flashbacks. However, I am unsure about whether flashbacks can only occur prior to the date you joined Mizahar. I believe I have done flashbacks dating back to Winter 512 AV, one season after I joined - or at least I had the impression that I could do such a thing.

Oh, and Radiant, I think she might be referring to whether it was important that threads occurring in locations inside the Castle should be posted in that sub-forum, not in the main Syliras forum. So you've already answered her question in your first paragraph, but it's still a good reminder on how to RP in Syliras!

Flashbacks can only be done in timestamps PRIOR to the beginning of a character's actual roleplay start date, timestamp wise. If a PC starts in Summer of 509 AV (August 2009). then flashback threads can only be ran prior to that timestamp.

Thanks everyone, so helpful! I think I may have been confusing Citadel with Castle too ... I am so horrible at spatial locations. I need to go back and read that section again, I think, to try to get a better handle with what's what. I've read through it twice, but like I said .. bad at spatial stuff LOL.

Finally caught up on mod threads and quests! Also, Syliras Grade Request is down to page 2! Wohoo! This is a good day indeed for the Fortress City.

On further note, I want to tell you that I will be employing a new policy on grading lores. You may noticed I awarded less lores than usual, it's because I have a new policy on awarding lores, staying more true to what it really means to have a lore.

A lore is supposed to be a static knowledge that a PC couldn't really expand upon such as facts about a plant, a person, etc. For example, "Being Paranoid" or "Comforted By Tony" are not proper lores. While "Rearing Stallion: Tavern In Syliras" as "Longsword: Proper Grips And Stances" are proper lores.

I just had a wee question about an event in the Syliras Seasonal Calender. On Fall 45 Gerard Athonius is offering free lessons in the axe and shield. Is this going to be a group event or do people who are interested have to seek a mod for moderation or self moderate this? Also do you need to have an axe or shield or is he going to supply one for you?



Okay, I lied, I have another small question but I'm not sure if I should ask that one here. The Bronze Watchtower - is there a location thread specifically for the Watchtower where I may learn more info about it or is the Bronze Woods location the closest Im going to get. If so can anyone tell me if the portal inside is still functional. I know all the portals are broken to some degree but is it at the very least still there and possible to travel through if one wanted to end up in an extremely random, probably fatal place?

To my knowledge if it has not been marked on the Seasonal Calendar as a Quest then it is open to any and all who are so inclined to do it. I advise reading over the lore surrounding the pit for a good idea as what is appropriate in terms of that setting. There are shields and axes available to players not in possession of them at the Fighter's Pit. They are, however, in terrible condition. The blades are dulled. The shields are likely heavily dented from use.

The Bronze Watchtower is not a location freely open for player use at the moment. To enter it requires the permission of the moderation staff. If you are seeking to actively enter the portal then it would be something that would have to be discussed at length and would, at the present time, end in your character's death. The only beings who can use the portals with some semblance of safety are gods or those bearing the Gnosis Marks of Aquiras. They still exist. Those who bear them though would either be Alvina or Nuit or some other exceptionally long-lived species who might have been marked by him prior to the Valterrian. Even then the marks would be faded and nearly non-functional given Aquiras's current condition.
