Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

1st of Fall , mid afternoon

The sun was setting just over the water of the Riverfall harbour, reflecting beautifully off it. The view was fantastic with the white sails and mixes of blue yellow and orange. But it was also a little hard to look at directly so no one stared for too long despite the fact they wanted to. And the perfect place to see this all from? Why the Glass Gull, where one could enjoy great wine and cheese as the sun continued to set.

It was not very busy due to how expensive everything was but that expense was all worth it. There was a date or two going on but no big parties or anything, though the dates were guaranteed to be a big hit. It would still be hard to get a table without a reservation though. But the wine was being served along with platters of cheeses of all types along with the occasional steak, fish and lobster, all looking very enticing. There were salads available too but not many people ordered that. They had all come for the wine and cheese after all.

Yulio had read about this place in the scroll she had been given. It had sounded really nice and so she was now going to check it out. She had had a quick bathe in the ocean though so she wouldn't dry out before the night was over.

As she approached the Glass Gull she turned to look down at the harbour on a whim and gasped at the beauty she saw. The ocean was so pretty with the sun over it. You never got to see that sort of thing underwater. So after watching for a bit she noticed she would get a better view from the Glass Gull and double timed it to get there.

(And heres some info about the Glass Gull)

[Private] A little cheese, too much wine [Croduth]

"Ahh want a pretty day to visit Riverfall... Its been too long since i been here" Mutter Alister to himself. Its so beautiful at the Glass Gull to bad i had to bribe the owner to give me a table. The Glass gull wasn't the biggest shop in Riverfall but they happened to be one of the few places that would serve bone marrow, a delicacy for most people but Alister lived on the stuff. Being partial to wine and cheese also made this one of his favorite spots in town. Sitting in the corner of the shop at a table with four seats made him feel a little sad but thats what happens when you hardly stay in one place for a few days.
maybe I should think about settleing down here some time soon.

After a few minutes a vintage Riverfall Merlot was placed infront of him and a small sample of goat and cow cheese with a nice set of silver cheese knives and what looked like a berry compote on a fine walnut serving tray. "Thank you miss, How long till my marrow will be out?"
"Oh only a few more minutes sir, i believe you are one of the few people that orders this so we are making it fresh, Oh and today it is Lamb marrow."
"Ahhh my favorite, i'm sure it will be worth the wait!

As Alister slowly slow sipped his wine he wondered if anything interesting might happen today. It had been a very uneventful few days in the city and he was itching to find some quick work in town but it seems like all the thieves in the city were laying low and he couldn't find any work. i should have went to Black Rock they are always looking for some one to do a dirty deed here or there. While Alister wasn't one to hunt people down they always could find some one some where that needed a purse lightened.
"Ahhh Such a lonely life i have"

[Private] A little cheese, too much wine [Croduth]

Postby Croduth on October 18th, 2013, 5:16 pm

1st of Fall, 513AV. Sunset.

Croduth, with streaks of blood still running down his fur from earlier that day, walked the streets of Riverfall with one thing on his mind.

"Good food, where can I find?" He had asked a passing Akalak, the deep blue of his skin reminding Croduth of a midnight sea.

"Well.. That depends." He twisted his lips quizzically and placed a thoughtful finger upon them. "What do you like to eat."

"Nuts..." Croduth mimicked the Akalak with a smirk. "Berries.. I ate a coconut once!" He stroked his chin. "Cheese, fond of cheeese..."

The man's face lit up. "I know just the place! The Glass Gull has everything you need." He said. "Look, just head down that way, then take a left and your first right and then, of course, your next right, and [b]POW![b]-" Croduth flinched as the pitch of his voice dropped two octaves "you're there." He said, with a gentle wink.

So Croduth walked, the warmth of that first afternoon in Riverfall fading as Leth reached for Syna and his the gentle chill of his calm glow fell upon the land.

By the time he had reached The Glass Gull, Croduth had began to shuffle his feet as he shambled along, clearly - the activities of the preceding day had taken it out of him. Straight through the back door he shambled. Paying no mind to the cock-eyed waiter looking fellow who tried to ask him his name and reservation as he passed through. Croduth was very used to the friendly communities within The Spires Petals, as a biproduct, was no stranger to abrupt introductions. He noticed a few mating partners around the room and thought it best not to disturb their rituals. But, there was a curious looking young human (Croduth assumed) sitting at a table alone, in the corner of the room.

Croduth quickly ambled over and, bearing neat rows of impressive fangs in an attempt to smile, he outstretched his hand.

"Croduth, I am." He said, his the amber orbs that were his eyes fixed upon the scar that traced the diameter of the young man's right eye. "Join you, may I?" He asked, still with his hand outstretched, patiently waiting though,, appearing more foolish with each passing moment.

Alister noticed the Jamoura blatantly talk and walk by the young woman at the door and quickly glace around the room and his eyes fell on Alister. He had seen one or two jamoura in his travels but he never believed that one would be walking up to his table. The Ape man seemed like her didn't care or notice the people around him and walked up to the four seat table where he sat.

"Croduth i am"Said the Jamoura and inched a little closer. "Join you may u?"

Alister stared for a moment and could not contain himself.

Hahah Of Course you can please sit down, i dont get many interesting people joining me and a Jamoura at that i will be honored!. said Alister. He like the giant ape almost from the first word he said. While it was simple his eyes betrayed great Intelligence behind those eyes. As the Jamoura sat down Alister had a real smile on his face.

"sir my name is Aliste, please share my wine and cheese, in fact. Ma'am Can i get two more glasses of this fantastic merlot for me and my friend!" Alister said. He was feeling a little better than normal and he figured it was the two glasses of wine he had drunk before this interesting creature sat at his table. "Oh pardon me i dont even know your name or if you even like cheese and cured meats! My name is Alister Val'tec the Kelvic and you are??"

Yulio finally reached the Glass Gull after a little running and stopped to catch her breath. She looked over the fine establishment with awe. This was one of the fancier buildings she had seen today, though she hadn't travelled far from the water. She decided to try and see what this place smelled like and was shocked and surprised.

That smell is so wonderful! I have to know what it is! And taste it...is my mouth making water? she thought and literally put her hand in her own mouth to find out. Yes indeed her mouth was watering and yes indeed she looked quite strange standing just outside the door to the Glass Gull with her hand in her mouth. So much so that the Akalak waiter at the door cleared his throat to get her attention. She jumped and looked a him with wide eyes.

The land folk have never made that noise before... she thought and decided it must be a greeting. So she took her hand out of her mouth and cleared her throat aswell with a smile. The Akalak waiter just rolled his eyes.

"Miss do you have a reservation or are you meeting friends here?" he asked politely. Yulio quickly mimicked his eye roll, thinking it part of the greeting.

"Uhh...no i don't have any land walking friends yet...but whats a reservation? I've never heard that word before. Is it a new one? We don't get all the words back in Charbosi." Yulio explained. Then she saw one of the stranger things of the day. There was a really hairy land walker inside!

He looks like a big clump of seaweed! Yulio thought as she leaned in the doorway to try and get a good look at this strange land walker. The waiter was getting quite annoyed now though he remained patient. But pretty soon he was going to ask her to leave.[indent]This will be for my OOC and general messing about posts. Or for if i become a mod...though i suppose i'd have a different name then...anyway Text goes here
