APPEARANCE
Visage
Visage (Pre-blight)
Tall and thin, with very little physical activity, Kenneric looks the part of a scarecrow in his tailored jackets and short cloak. A smooth, youthful, face is framed by sharp sideburns and a blond mane slick and well cared for that gives testament to his Svefra roots. Kenneric is decently dressed, not too arrogant, but respectable. The tattoos on his arms are sometimes visible and their black inkiness is in contrast to the warmer colors he dresses in. If the hair on his head was proof of his Svefran bloodline, then the blue-purple eyes he bears, though not subject to change, attest his mother's Vantha roots. Together they make his face rather unique and modestly appealing.
Visage (Post-513A.V.)
Though still young, his face bears the muted pain of recent hardship. His gauntness has replaced what once was vigor. Bags under his eyes and an occasional bloody cough is all that remains of his brush with the Zeltivan Blight. Once fine clothes are now slightly ragged and dusty. The youth prefers to wear his more muted traveling clothes in Sunberth.
Tattoos
A simple set of circles designed to help concentration when focusing djed on the palms of both hands. (completely mundane)
A Swallow, Eagle, Crow, and Bat flying around his left forearm.
A Robin, Emu, Twite, and Wasp flying around his right forearm.
The blue triangle of Akajia on his back, signifying his status as a Nightstalker.

Personality
A personality, such intangibles are hard things to pin down. Why, a personality is a close cousin of the soul, and what man is arrogant enough to claim he knows his whole soul. And moreover, who could explain such a thing with a few simple words? Nevertheless, an attempt at the impossible will be made for your sake. The man in question began as all men do, as a boy dreaming of larger things. As all boys are prone to, he dreamt of heroics and quests, though he was of common descent and raised by a single mother whom worked as a seamstress for the local tailor. After a drifting Svefra made her a mother and left her a single parent, Kenneric's mother never married. Her busy work schedule left him to his own devices. A boy in a city was a mischievous being indeed, and soon he had caused his mother so much grief she began looking for someone who would take her son on as an apprentice. Soon she became desperate enough and poor enough that she took the offer of a Nuit named Lowych. He offered to tutor and provide for Kenneric as long as the boy served as a servant and helped him with his own studies, and the boy would receive his payment as well upon his coming of age.
His mother had never dreamed her son would be this well schooled, enough to rise above his lot in life. And thus the boy's life was changed for the first time. Lowych and Kenneric traveled through Sylira in their search for knowledge, from Syliras to Sunberth and across the green hills to Zeltiva. While Lowych's pursuits were of a mysterious and archaic nature, at least in the youthful, sheltered eyes of a eight year old boy, Kenneric contended with learning his words and histories, as well as experiencing new places. Soon the youth's sadness for leaving his mother was replaced by an excited wonder at the world around him. Gradually Kenneric grew into his adolescence and out of his childhood dreams of becoming some sort of sword-wielding paragon. Instead he developed a healthy thirst for knowledge and a cunning wit, inherited from his mentor, the Nuit. His body grew tall and lean and soon his black hair crept down upon his face and decided to rest upon his chin and jaw, signifying another step to manhood. Lowych, though eerily cold and distant from such things as humanity or emotion, was a very well spoken and courteous individual. He passed on his manners to Kenneric, as well as a bit of his behavior. Those who have business with him will note that Kenneric will seem austere and aloof.
Lowych, being a man with valuable knowledge and a paranoid to boot, encrypted his personal notes. What he didn't realize was that his lessons were working better than he imagined on the youthful Kenneric. The boy was able to, without the Nuit's knowledge, borrow and decipher his notes on voiding amongst other things. When the Nuit finally decided he was worthy and responsible enough Lowych initiated the boy into the art. Kenneric had a natural aptitude to it, though it took him a few weeks to finally open his first portal to the void.
After that he spent more and more time studying with Lowych, instead of under him. Though the boy was headstrong and excited, he was not as much of a hindrance to Lowych. They studied more than just the arcane though. Histories the Nuit was well versed in, and had indeed lived through, they spent hours on daily. His youthful antics and witty questions lead Lowych to give him the pet name Crow, since the bird was notoriously loud and smart.
It all ended, however, when Lowych finally died. Kenneric inherited his wages finally and decided to settle down in Zeltiva and find employment, and perhaps begin to pursue some of his more ambitious goals.

Religion
Kenneric Crowe has had a deeply personal tie to one deity in particular from a very young age. Though he respects all the gods, the man only worships one devoutly. Akajia has always held his only real loyalty. She has furthered his need for mystery and knowledge, and has even granted him her mark once. Since that moment of marking Kenneric has secretly worshipped the goddess in the lonely hours of the dawn and dusk, when her realm was on the edge of the day. Often he was prone to recite cryptic riddles or prays as a way of sharing ‘secrets’ with the goddess. Without any rigid schooling in his religion, he has formed his own individual way of worship over the years.
