Oworo Birdflight

Appearance

Image Race: Human, Drykas
Gender: Male
Age: Twenty One Years Old
Birthday: 69th day of Summer, 492
Birthplace: Endrykas

Appearance:
Oworo was definitely the most handsome of the three sons of the Birdflight Pavilion. Standing just shy of six feet, definitely looked the part of a member of the horse clan. His dark brown hair fell to the nape of his neck, brushing the neck of the shirts he wore, and his trimmed goatee was of the same chocolaty color. Despite having a Benshiran mother, he inherited the brown eyes of his father, but they were brighter than his half-brothers, almost a hazel more than a brown. His skin was tanned, both from his parent's genes, as well as the aftereffect of hours spent in the sun daily. His nose was sharp, his cheeks thin, and his face well angled.

Little body fat could be found on his body, his muscles lean but evident. His arms were especially exercised, having spent his entire childhood pulling the string back of a bow. His hands were calloused, rough to the touch, but the rest of his skin seemed to unmarred. That is until one found him without a shirt; then would note his windmarks. Hoofprints ran across his abdomen, starting and ending at the hipbone. The badge of his Drykan heritage is small, though, compared to the wings adorning his back, the personal badge of his passion and his Pavilion. The black feathered limbs span his entire upper torso, so wide that the ends of the feathers are actually visible even with shirt on, if the sleeves were short, sticking out on the upper arm.

With his Pavilion having been of the Ruby Clan, Oworo has a natural preference to the color red. Linen and Leather is all he had known growing up, so he wasn't picky with the clothes he wore.

Character ConceptImage

Oworo represents the cliche "lost soul," a man who had lifestyle he had known ripped away from him, leaving only the desire to return to the past. He was spared his life, the one thing he truly needed; family, friends, the past. . . Oworo knows that all of that is temporary; his own life is all he truly needs. That's the one thing he cannot lose no matter what.

Thus, Oworo can best be described as a survivalist, a man who relies on his own primal instincts, the instincts prevent man from fully stepping away from the realm of animal and establish their own kingdom. Oh, this doesn't hinder his ability to operate within the confines of society; it only affects the way he approaches the situations. He can live among people, even come to like them, but in the end, he's the only one that truly matters to Oworo.

Character History

Born to the 'Cursed' Birdflight Pavilion to the Ankal Otoro and his Benshiran wife, Oworo struggled in the Drykas society. Even when he bloomed, both physically and mentally, over his two half-brothers Oemi and Oeno, Oworo was merely looked upon as the middle-child; Oemi was the heir, not him, of a tainted pavilion, thus he never got the respect he [thought he] deserved.

No one could fault him for laziness, though; Oworo tried any chance he could get to prove himself. Whenever there was a call for some hunting party or webbing team, Oworo was quick to step forward. It kept him moving, which Oworo always loved, and it kept him away from his family; for some reason, Oworo just struggled to function properly as a member of the Pavilion, always too headstrong and independent.

Alas, despite spending most of his time away, Oworo found himself in the company of his family the day the Zith raided them. They had been camped a good distance away from the city, grazing their herds, when the monsters attacked. His family all slaughtered, Oworo miraculously survived, and enslaved. In a single night, everything he had known disappeared.

Yet he still survives, to this day, continuing to add new chapters to his life. Slave or free, Oworo was a Drykas until the day he died.
