Stretching northward along the coastline of the Suvan Sea, the Cobalt Mountains are the home of the Bronze Wood, numerous ruins, and creatures both strange and fantastical.

Yngvie silently followed Ventus through the woods as they followed the woman through the woods. Some people would consider this fellow quite the creep, he thought as they continued. He almost burst out laughing when he saw her hang herself. It wasn't that he thought that the particular situation was funny, or that he found suicide itself funny, but simply because he thought that he maybe could add some light to the situation. He had seen people commit suicide before, in Avanthal. When people decided that they hated living in close quarters with their family, or just that they simply hated the cold, they would sometimes kill themselves. "Tell me, Ventus, do you know if she had those gold Mizas with her?", Yngvie said, only half jokingly. |

(( OOC: And how is that you would not have known? You did hours in a post without letting anyone have a reaction to you suddenly leaving.))

Ventus ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Excuse me sir, but what did you say about my art?" "Actually, yes, she did have gold," Ventus muttered to himself as he started to edge himself down the tree. He slowly walked outward, taking the bow off his shoulders, and an arrow from his makeshift quiver. He started to sweep his bow around, making sure nothing would attack as he got closer to where she buried the backpack. Is this a bad idea? he thought to himself, his conscious kicking in. Money was a good thing, and with how times were, reporting a dead body would be a bad idea, and he needed the money. But, to make himself feel better about this, he wouldn't do it, for he had a better idea. "Yngvie," he called, "dig up the backpack over there," he finished, pointing to the area.

"Are you squeamish? Me too!" Yngvie, ever prepared for such a situation pulled a small black stick and his bottle of embroidering ink out of one of the few pockets in his robe. He dipped the stick in the bottle, then cleared the space for a circle, then began drawing. He was trying to draw a six circle, and succeeding. A six circle would be ideal for quickly drawing a summoned creature back in. When the circle was complete, Yngvie pulled his longsword from his back, and cut his thumb on the edge. "I hope you aren't afraid of bloodthirsty mutants." he cackled, turning to Ventus as the surface of the circle started to shimmer. |

The surface of the circle was roughly eight feet around, so his query would have no trouble fitting through. The water like surface shimmered, and the mutant emerged. It was roughly five feet tall and somewhat squat in stature. It looked fairly humanoid, except for his hands. It's hands where about five times the size of a normal human hand and they where both hardened like bones. It was definitely dangerous, but it's low intellect kept it from presenting too much of a danger. "You will serve me. If you do, I will not return you." The creature grunted as a sign of recognition. "Now dig here until you find a sack. It is mine." The creature grunted, and began digging. "Marvelous aren't they? Better than any old shovel, am I right?" Yngvie said, turning to Ventus. |

Ventus ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Excuse me sir, but what did you say about my art?" Ventus shrugged and waited for it to be uncovered. It did not take long, for it did not seem to be buried deep. He slowly walked towards it and crouched down, placing his bow to the ground. There wasn't really much that he wanted other than the mizas. He immediately went to those, and pulled them from the pack and reached his hands backward for Yngvie to take 25 of it. He continued to rummage through the pack hoping for something good. He didn't take interest in much of it and stood. "Yngvie, search through it if you wish for something. I'll take these 25 mizas. We never found her. She was killed and looted..." he muttered. He paced to the rope and untied her body, letting it flop to the ground. He took his bow out and shot an arrow through her forehead.

Yngvie took the mizas Ventus handed him and quickly pocketed them. He then tightened the 'leash' around the mutant and pulling it back through the portal, barely giving it time to scream in protest. He cocked his head to the side when Ventus shot an arrow through her head. "We had better hurry back before those looters return, don't you think?" Yngvie turned and headed back to camp. |

It was about thirty minutes later when Yngvie and Ventus arrived at the camp. The sun was about to fall and it was nearing night. He walked towards his horse and poured water into it's thirsty mouth like a waterfall from his waterskin that he filled up on the way back. He turned his head towards Yngvie. Neither were to say a word of what they witnessed. "Well, the hunt that we ended going on when we found that huge... 11 or 12 buck deer, what was it Yngvie... well, it did not go well..." he told Lookos with a sigh. This was the first lie he had told in a while. He had thought of it the entire way back, and he hoped it worked.
