Physical Description: Since much of the point of armor is total coverage and protection for the wearer it's difficult to pin down precisely what Biff looks like besides 'enormous and covered in metal'. It's plain to see from his silhouette that he's a great strapping man with a barrel chest, thick arms, and a horseman's bowed legs. His armor was once fine but has been pitted and weathered by many years of wear, leaving it tarnished and imperfect. In fact it is so oft patched and repaired that it would take a seasoned eye to spot that the original bold insignias that once adorned breast and pauldron have been intentionally filed off.
Much about Biff's appearance speaks of a hard life full of travel and combat. His gear is well maintained but clearly nearing the end of usefulness. The metal of his sword and armor are pitted and scored, the leather of his arming doublet is worn and cracked, the plain tabard over his breastplate is threadbare and faded, and the once bold paint on his lance is now chipped and dull. Across his back is slung a similarly worn but well maintained kite shield, its surface also marred where the insignia was rubbed out. He flies no pendant from his lance and his tabard is adorned with no device.
Character Concept: Biff is a quixotic errant warrior wandering the land of Mizahar on a never ending quest for justice. He is insistent that he will not serve a man, instead he pledges himself to an ideal. A man of rigid principals and unlimited self discipline, it's clear his zeal must have some deep origin in his psyche. His quest is his penance.
Character History: Biff arrived in Sylira several years ago and quickly made a name for himself as a defender of the innocent and a champion of the downtrodden. Mainly busying himself stamping out petty banditry along the roads and defending travelers, he also participated in joint actions with the Sylirian Knights as a mercenary of sorts, a mercenary not for hire, but one who joined forces with them because their cause was just. Despite his valor he declined their offer to join their order, telling them that he was sworn to follow the banner of no man on his quest.
Now he rides the breadth of the land, from Sylira to Taldera, carrying out his self appointed charge to protect the weak and uphold justice and chivalry.
