  • A sporty and healthy looking outdoorswoman with long hazelnut brown hair
  • More than medium tall for a human woman - around 5'9'' (175 cm)
  • Dressed in simple clothes of brown colors : pants, shirt, boots, cloak
  • In cold winter weather she wears the winter clothes
  • A black and white scarf tied as bandana keeps the hair out of her face
  • Lean but fit and slihtly musled due to her physically active life

Identity
This is about Chandray's Self Image - How she defines her own identity, who she is and how she is. Like all self images this can be biased and just because this is how Chandray percieves herself it doesn't need to be the truth. She may discover new things about herself by time, like all people do. But this is her self image today.

  • She is Chandray Evereene, daughter of two anthropologists in Syliras
  • She is a reasonably competent and experienced person
  • She is a righteous person who doesn't compromise with her ideals
  • She isn't a thief just because she picks up things she finds, svefra style
  • She's a petching good fiddler !
  • And a decent fencer
  • She is an independent woman with interesting plans
  • She optimistically thinks herself able to learn most things - "how hard can it be?"
  • She is the discrete Aide-de-camp of the representative of a trade company

Life Goals
These are the goals of Chandray IC - not necessarily my goals for her OOC. They may actually already have been twarthed a bit, and just because Chandray has goals it's not like I'm planning to write her there. The world had a way of surprising people and make them end up totally other ways. Time will tell.

  • Want's to be an explorer, adventurer and treasure hunter eventually, but is far from skilled enough and has lots to learn.
  • She has been happy to live for the day and not plan or think so much of the future. Laviku will take care of her, she believes. But now when the years has passed by and she isn't in her early twenties anymore, she has started to feel she wants to do more of her life after all. She wants to settle down in a city, find a job, learn new skills and eventually form relationships

 
Short Term Goals
Again, Chandray's IC goals. She may achieve them or not achieve them. There can very well be things Chandray aims for but which comes to nothing. And again, time will tell.

For now I keep the short term goals in my plotnotes as I think this could easily become lots things that are much the same, so it's best to have it in only one place and keep it up to date there.

 
Interests
This is about general interests and pastimes Chandray takes pleasure in when she isn't working or studying / practicing but just is free.

  • Music and playing instruments
  • Chandray also likes to socialize, speak with people, discuss life philosophy and opinions, tell stories true or untrue. It doesn't hurt if this is done while fishing or by a campfire, or while practicing at the rapier, or while looking at the starry night sky above, or by the sea or the river or in some other location of interest.
  • It can be nice to sail a bit, or ride a bit, explore just for fun
  • Always interetested in learning and improving languages

 
Strenghts Talents
  • Chandray has a talent for auristics. She keeps that secret and normally she uses it very sparsely.
  • She has a basically sunny and optimistic personality and attitude which can make her nice to socialize with and cheer people up
  • She takes an optimistic view on other people and expects the best of them, for good and for bad. A sometimes strength.
  • She has a serious side,and takes true interest in exploring and investigating in places, cultures and people. She learns about archaeology and other things that are good for her to know and is studious and eager when she's interested in something.
  • As she has sometimes been in trouble and a needed to defend herself, Chandray has learnt to use a rapier. She's not one of those aggressive people actively seeking combat around every corner, but she is able to fight when shyke happens.
  • Curious, reckless, optimistic and adventure loving, she thrives on risk and is often quick to act to get what she wants. This can sometimes lead to gaining advantages and achieving goals, if it succeeds.

 
Flaws Risks
  • The risk of going to far with the magic is a constant weakness/threat. As she first learnt it in a bad way from a careless teacher she went on the wrong track from start and for a while she was (unawares) using the magic more or less constantly, which made her oversensitive and tired. She has made progress after this, and leartn to only use the auristics when she choose to do so. But she always need to take care to be aware and control herself. It’s a constant struggle against temptation, bad habits and distraction. There can sometimes be a risk for being carried away and overuse auristics when she’s playing her fiddle, when she’s fencing and when she’s curious about something or somebody.
  • She can sometimes be easygoing bordering on irresponsible and carelessly flirty.
  • She takes an optimistic view on other people and expects the best of them, for good and for bad. A sometimes weakness she is aware of.
  • Curious, reckless, optimistic and adventure loving, she thrives on risk and is often quick to act to get what she wants. This can sometimes lead to serious trouble if it backfires.

The Auristics in Chandray’s case

 
What she is able to do
As Competent Aurist Cahandray can do the following
  • Discern single auras one at the time and get impressions of simple facts
    Sometimes guess at the taste of food
  • She will be able to reliably find hidden things and identify magical objects.
  • Facts about people tend to remain basic, though there is a definite improvement in that area, as well.
  • She can focus on a couple of auras and keep track of them at the same time even if they are outside her field of vision.

 
How She Learnt
  • Chandray first learnt auristics as a side effect when she took fencing lessons and was told to try to mentally get a feel for the adversary’s moves in order to fence better - much like when real life tennis trainers tell a player to try to “mentally see” and get a feel for where the ball is going.
  • The first trainer didn’t know what he was doing but she learnt more later, from a healer who wanted to pay her parents back for saving the healers life once upon a time

 
Normal Learning Pace
  • She normally develops in auristics at a pace of 3-4 XP per year
  • She isn’t a “power-crazed” personality by default and not striving to go past competent for the sake of it. Unless something extraordinarily demanding happens in her life she will likely reach level competent in auristics and stay there for quite long time.

 
Cautious Attitude
  • Auristics hasn't been a harmless experience for Chandray and for a time she had great problems with overgiving
  • And she hadn't been seeking it, she learnt it by accident
  • Because of this she isn't convinced that auristis is a good thing
  • She keeps it secret and uses it sparsely
  • She doesn't take on to teach other people auristics

Character History

Chandray's parents (still alive both of them) are common humans and they are explorers, cartographers and antropologists. Her early life was happy and there's no big disasters and traumas in her past. Due to their work as antropologists, her parents (common humans) lived with Svefra for long periods of time, in order to study them and their culture. This is why Chandray knows a great deal about the Svefra and she speaks fratava, though common is her mothers tongue.

Early Years 486-503 0-16 :
Living with her family, mostly among svefra pods her parents wanted to study

Late Teens 504-506 :
Cruising the Suvan Sea area, still living with her parents

Adult Life 507-513 :
"Moved out", living her own life as adult in the Suvan Sea and it's costal towns

At this point I retired the PC after investigation of the grade of the last thread and a decision that in practice it meant the only option for Chandray in Riverfall was execution for murder. I could of course have moved the PC somewhere else, but I felt I had already done what I wanted to do on her. I am satisfied with the time I have had on her and the threads I wrote, but I'm more interested in doing something new now.

Threads not eligible for grading, but written before the the grading of last thread above. Due to the reasons above the content in these threads aren't in the PC's storyline and I have edited accordingly and taken away the timestamps.
