91st of Fall, 513 AV
She had left the meeting dreading the Winter, and this feeling still hadn't gone away. To know that Turrin and Azira were on her side, that her friends believed her, had been very comforting, but not enough to keep the feeling that everything would get worse out of her mind.
Zulrav... The God of the Winds. Syveris had always loved the wind, but she had always thought of it as a separate thing from the God. Now, she was glad that she did it, because she feared what the God would do, she was sure she didn't want to ever see the being again, and yet, she could not stand to loose her love for the wind.
Virat had accompanied her to her room, and left, leaving her alone with her thoughts. Her mentor had believed her, in a way. He didn't believe she had helped the traitor willingly, but he also didn't doubt that she might have done it without knowing. "Causing trouble is your very essence." he had said, playfully, but Syveris could caught the preoccupation in his face. Not that she blamed him. She was very worried, too.
Syveris had to talk with the other accused. They had to find a way to help Zulrav's priest in finding the Despised, or whatever the traitor was called. The Avora didn't care. The only thing she cared about was the safety of the people in Wind Reach. Maybe she could take being hated by the God, maybe, but she couldn't let Turrin, Azira and all the others suffer for something she had done. Or something the God thought she had done. She wasn't sure of the truth yet. Syveris wasn't even sure there was a truth in all this.
Syveris played with the blanket on her bed, trying to make some sense out of this mess. Had she done something to help someone suspicious over Fall? No, she didn't. She was sure of it. Well, she had helped a Dek, but it was ridiculous to think that he would do something against Wind Reach. A Dek would be find out in no time, and there wouldn't be any real problem.
The Avora hid her face on her hands, thinking hard. If she hadn't done anything to aid the Despised, then the God would have to be mistaken. Was that even possible? Syveris sighed. No, she doubted it. So, what? She had helped someone unknowingly. Could she still be blamed for it? Besides, if she didn't know about it, how was she supposed to figure out what she had done?
She screamed, frustration washing over her. What could she possible do?
