Yung Light (Real Name=Douglas Burns

Information

Race: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Birthday: Spring, 496 AV
Birthplace: Sunberth
Height: 5'8 ft
Weight: 147 lbs

Appearance: Very slim and cut, a young athletes body. A thick nappy, curly, patted down mess of hair close to the appearance of dark wool. Short yet uneven dirty finger nails, caramel skin, basic brown eyes. This shady character is ordinary, one to slip by as a commoner in the crowd. Although he comes off as poor, which he is, he actually can shape up pretty good when he wants too. He doesn't have any scratches or true imperfections, he is a pretty good looking kid. Distinguished facial hair makes him appear older, and unlike his horrid hair, this is always trimmed. But he doesn't care about looks, so he does always come off as a horrible groomer.

Character Concept

Light is a very... Secretive boy. He only cares about secrets, getting what he wants and some of what he needs, and ultimately making himself happy. He feels that this world is a game, and what's a game without fun? So he lies. He steals. He cheats. He does whatever he has to do... To be happy. Although he is truly never happy because the more he gets, the more he realizes he truly has nothing. Because he has no parents, no guardians, nobody to tell him no, he is a pure kleptomaniac that just doesn't care. He doesn't date, or even show remote interest in women because he doesn't truly have an attraction. They bore him. Unless they have a secret that is...

Slightly illiterate, he has no true book smarts, only street smarts. He knows how to count when it comes to drugs, but he doesn't know how to count money so well... So that show's that he could get conned. Nor can he read too good, and he is a bully. That will take out his emotions, especially if somebody or something frustrates him. He likes to see people in pain, but can't stand complaining, because he knows that nothing good comes from complaining in the end. So he won't stand for that.

There isn't much to this boy and if one was to actually sit him down and talk to him, they would quickly find that out. He talks with a lot of slang, disrespect, and carefree-ness. He will be respectful however if needed, if he has to, or if necessary. He is a chronological liar, who truly can't help it. He will just lie sometimes to lie. But truly. In the end. He's just a hood rat. The world has never chose to help him out so he chose to help himself out. He is a bad person, inside and out, he only cares about himself. He's just a kid with no guidelines. No rails. Just trying to get by in this world, not caring if he dies or not. He only cares about himself. Seriously.

Character History

Light is far from normal, so is his history, which would only make sense. His mother was a prostitute, and a very cheap one, who just so happened to be trying to "make something of herself". So whenever she got pregnant, or "slipped up", as she would call it, she would never raise the child. She would gently set the baby down in a basket (or somethings else of the same sorts)
in an alley, or some other back street. The next day, or few days when she passed the same spot, the baby was gone. So to her the plan always worked, all of these babies died... Except one. Douglas Burns, or at least that's what the couple that picked him up named him, was that kid.

The couple that picked him up was a pair of strung out drug addicts, that seriously needed help. They raised him none and the less, although he never called them mom and dad, nor did he know their name. He just called upon to them as boy and girl, and they would always respond with their given name to him. Moving on, they did things to him and in front of him. Bad things, that he wouldn't talk about to anyone. They put him down, and told him that he would never be anything, and would never amount to anything since they ever could.

They did help him though, they taught him things, which is what any good parents should do. They taught him how to cheat, lie, and how to deal with certain drugs. He knew drug lingos and how to lie straight to someones face with no emotion. He also learned morphing from them, and ancient tongue. He never asked how they new such things, he just took in the information. He learned to steal, and eventually stole from them, on his last day of being home (which was actually just a spot on a corner). He took about a hundred mizas, although he couldn't truly count money all to well, and lacked basic skills in stuff in that area. He took his one set of clothes, and his little possessions.

Eventually he thought about where he would go, because he had nowhere to go, but he would never go back to such an abusive home. He kept walking and walking... And walking. Until a strange man stumbled across him, tripping over him and pulling out a knife instantly. After the miscommunication, the man asked why was he sitting out, and he explained part of his story, and the man gave him a proposition. He could live with him, for free for a whole 5 days, but at the end of the fifth day... He had to give him 70GM. Light agreed, although he gave him all of his money at the end of the fifth day, suprising the man. The man then gave him a set of thieves tools, and began to teach him basic things like how to count.

Every day he came home he told him more and more, about how to steal and lie. This saddened Light at first, because he felt as if he had somehow made it back to the same spot. But then the man explained to him that if you ever wanted anything, you had to work for it. Eventually the man gave him a name, Mr. Black. That was what he was told to call him, and he renamed the boy, and gave him the name Yung Light. He told him he called him that because he saw of the boy's love for truth, he loved to learn and know more of his surroundings. He was the light. Anything in life, was obtainable. And so it was... The rest is history in the making.
