Kovac turned to Turrin as he spoke his peace. He was indeed a diplomat. His heritage was not one prone to such tact, Myrians and Inartans were about the least diplomatic of the people of Mizahar. Somehow, together, they created a man that tried to make the best of every situation. Kovac nodded at the Endal's compliments, even if the Avora was not entirely worthy of them.

"I am very proud that I have not yet turned this little one over my knee and gave her back side a good tanning. But after this stunt, I don't think I can stay my hand much longer." Lavira, for her part, spoke with a terse sentencing that sounded very Endal and a bit surprising to Kovac. Vira pronounced her recommendation and moved on to the kitchen, ready to begin the festivities. The Avora hunter turned to Alori after another sharp glance at Aose. "It does seem fitting. She wants to see what goes on in the aeries, let her earn her privilege."

Then he turned his attention to the invading girl. "You, why am I not surprised? you are lucky these Endal are so well tempered, I would hate to see what some of the less forgiving riders would do should you invade their homes. I would take what you can get here and be grateful. Now behave yourself or you will get your beating." He chided, mussing up her bright red hair with his hand, knowing it would irritate her. He wondered if the girl caught the flash of a small grin he aimed at her before turning away.

Rockin Out The Mountain

Turrin listened to Endal Lavira suggestion for a punishment for the yasi, and he decided to just stay silent because he thought it was a fitting punishment for the yasi. In actually it wasn't his place to dictate the yasi's punishment because it wasn't his aeries, so the large Endal decided to let Kovac, Lavira, and Alori deal with her. He was about to make his way into the room, but Kovac joked about his restraint and the Myrian laughed out loud at the Avora's sarcasm. Turrin looked over at the table of food and said with a smirk to Kovac in Nari, “Kovac, I going to make way to food table before the birds eat it all. It nice meeting you, Kovac” Turning to Alori, Turrin said with a smile, “When you start your tour of home, I would like to join it.” As the Endal turned walked to the food table, he inwardly groaned at how bad his Nari was today. He wondered if he should just speak in common the rest of the night, but he didn't want to offend anyone by speaking in common. When he got to the table, he picked up a small plate and started to look at the spread. As he peered at the trays of meats, fruits, and assorted breads, he was pleasantly surprised at the amount of food on the table. Especially when the hunters were bring back less and less kills everyday. Turrin took a small portion of dried meat, fruit, and bread and poured himself a glass of water.

Looking around for a place to sit, the Endal glanced at Azira who was talking with Lavira, but when the scarred Endal went into the kitchen. He decided to take his chances and say hello to the unpredictable hunter. Walking over to her, Turrin complimented her in Nari, “You look lovely tonight, Azira. How do you know Alori?” Even though, the Avora wasn't as dressed up as Lavira or Alori, the woman was attractive enough to look good in even the plainest outfit. Turrin knew that he had to say something to her because he didn't want to her to think that he was avoiding her. Turrin had to be careful though because he didn't want her to think that he was patronizing or making fun of her after the last encounter with the woman. Luckily, the woman didn't have anything in her hand to throw at him, so he was safe for the moment. Turrin picked up a piece of meat and said in Nari with a smile, “When we go hunting in winter, I am thinking about flying us to forward camps in western part of Inarta territory to escape harsh wind of Storm Bay. Western coast much more calmer than coast on Storm Bay. It will be day flight through Unforgiving though, but I think it will be worth it. What do you think?” He knew that the female hunter didn't think much of him, but he wanted to ask for the sake of trying to bury the hatchet between them, “How is life treating you, Azira?”

Aose stopped her poorly executed introduction when Kovac turned on her and went off on her. “Well what do ya bloody expect I am doing here? Pickin’ posies?” She shook her head in exasperation, the first words out of her mouth were not the smartest set of words the yasi could’ve spoke. It always seemed she spoke before she thought, and that was usually the case...

Next came the man she never saw before, “He admires my courage all right.” Looking at the other three women Aose pointed towards the man, “I like this guy, he’s cute and speaks his mind.” She whispered to them.

Letting out a snort that quickly merged to a smirk Aose crossed her arms over her chest and leaned back. “Heh. I just have one question before ya’ll toss me out... What sorta party has more women than men eh?” Aose stretched a finger out and counted the number of women compared to men... Just to add to her own insistence of not thinking she counted herself in the mix. “Yeah... Four females and two males, seems a bit unbalanced.” Aose chuckled a bit and then turned when she heard the one-eyed Endal call her a brat.

“Hey! For starters I am not a brat. I’m a yasi get it right eh?” She narrowed her eyes at Lavira, “And for yer being rangled into teaching me, Ya could’ve lied ta the yasi instructors. They would’ve found some other fool to handle the lessons. As for Kovac training me. That’s between us okay? I rather think our training sessions are far more my speed than any of those buggin’ sessions they give us yasis.”

When Aose brought up the source of punishment Aose narrowed her eyes, “Hey hey! None of that, this is a celebration! Ya should go get a dek to serve drinks and clean up. I ain’t no dek, do I look like a dek?” She shook her head, “I didn’t think so.”

Yet when Kovac spoke of spanking Aose the yasi laughed, “Ya always threaten yet ya never do it.” But again it seems he was in agreement when it came to the punishment. The ruffling of her hair did annoy her and she scolded the man’s actions. “Fine.” She grumbled annoyed and stood, “As for what goes on in an Aeries. I did have the privilege to speak to an Endal three years ago. So there” She stuck her tongue and sat up straighter.

Alori just giggled at it all. It was too funny, she didn't have a clue what the yasi brat was talking about, but that didn't stop the little bird from puffing up her chest and chirping away. Folding her arms across her chest, the teen just shook her head and looked to the others at the party. At some point she really needed to talk with Lavira and Kovac about the company they shared. "Sure, whatever, if she wants to crash a party she can stay and she can do something other than holding down my chair."

Lavira had a good idea with that, and it would fit better than just kicking the girl out, or just letting her stay and do whatever she wanted. "Just mind your bird ok? Skye is very territorial." With that she turned and wandered into the kitchen to find Lavira. "Yea, there's some broth in the cold box and a bottle of wine. Got it from the bay." Figuring it would take her sister bells to find it, Alori fetched the broth and wine from the cold box herself, which also showed her friend where it was.

"You know, I bought this and I only had a few glasses that one time. It's really good though." she said with a smile and offered the bottle of fine wine to the other Endal. "So, Vira, you gonna help me get this thing started or what?"

Rockin Out The Mountain

You have been weighed, you have been measured, and you have been found graded.

Overall Comments
Alright, alright, alright.

So, it is incredibly unfortunate that this thread was discontinued as there was a lot of opportunity for character growth through socialization, as well as reconnecting some relationships. However, considering that three people are now inactive, I guess it was bound to happen.

Overall, I found it to be highly entertaining and I enjoyed the eclectic group of characters that gathered here. Turrin, each reference you made to your previous encounters with Azira earned a giggle [which was obviously manly], and Kovac, I really enjoyed that relaxed nature that comes with your character and writing. Very well done. Azira, you certainly seem to know how to make friends, and I continue to enjoy your character's abysmal people skills.

I will only be awarding grades for Azira, and Turrin. Alori, Aose, and Lavira are retired and Kovac has been shelved for this Spring season.

If there are any discrepancies regarding the grades you have received, please PM me your concerns.

Azira
Overall, I felt like Azira maintained an aloof status and displayed some of her insecurities throughout the thread which created a three-dimensional character.
