Felicia was quite eager to get started, which was good but for now they actually needed to reach the Prairie. So in response Anna gestured for the woman to continue to follow her down the long steps that led away from the whole of the Citadel. The path to the Harbor laid before them but the Sorceress cut a turn into the lightly forested region that bordered the Testing Grounds. Once they passed through here they would reach the Prairie, and then Felicia could demonstrate her knowledge.

The tall woman chuckled at Felicia's recovery and acknowledgement of Anna's advances. Clearly she was either not used to women flirting with her, or not used to flirting at all. That was amusing to the sorceress, highly amusing if she were being honest. She tossed the woman a look as she stepped over a large fallen branch.

"You've never had anyone take a pass at you? Now that is a crime, fortunately I myself am more than willing to pick up the slack these fools who live in Kenash left. Unless of course, you think me too forward my dear or your tastes are different." Anna said, making certain to place Felicia's own desires at the forefront and before her own.

That was Anna, the selfless Chaon, yes indeed. Helping others with no immediate need for recompense, Rhysol insanity truly did have its benefits. The tall woman held the woman's gaze, concern that she might have overstepped her bounds clear in her expression. This whole thing was an act of course, but the summoner didn't need to know what lay beneath the skin.

Anna continued guiding them along their path, the stray branches occasional brushing against her and a light breeze caressing her skin with the chill of Sahovan winter. Idly she wondered if the creatures in the Testing Grounds hibernated, then again who knew what some crazy wizards were capable of making. Anna most certainly didn't want to know, at least not yet.

Finally they came to the outskirts of the Prairie and what a sight it was, the barren place stretching out seemingly forever with occasional rocks and bones scattered here or there. Some times the cries of alien creatures would sound out, no doubt the horrors of the Testing Grounds roaming about. Anna was confident that if any took an interest she could dispatch them easily.

"Right, this is where you can summon free of the fear of prying eyes and unwanted attention. The beasts here are dangerous, but as long as your with someone like me they won't lay a claw on you of that you have my word. Let me get you a smooth surface to work on." The tall woman said, spreading her legs apart with her feet straight and parallel to each other. Her basic casting stance.

Casting was always a dangerous affair with her mind as frayed as it now was, never knowing when she might crack. Her meditation earlier had calmed her somewhat, but there was no guarantee it would last. She took in a few cycled deep breaths as she prepared, focusing her Djed towards the bottoms of her feet.

Once the vital energy was gathered their Anna pushed outwards with it, glistening purple liquid forming rather quickly and encompassing her sandaled feet in a translucent sheath of res. She sighed and felt her mind scream for more, to push more out of herself and Anna obliged, need more for the actual casting she had in mind. The warm vital liquid shifted as it snaked its way further and further up her leg, however she halted it when it reached above her kneecaps.

This res gathered Anna willed it to move down and away from her body, slithering outwards from her like two large snakes dedicated and bound by her will. The moved quickly across the ground, more res being pushed out as needed and added to the growing pool. Satisfied with the amount gathered she willed some of the liquid to seep into the ground.

A small kick of her right heel into the ground was the gesture for the next phase of the casting, a combination of attraction and transmutation. A wave of pleasure washed over her, nearly pushing her over the edge but she kept her sanity in check. She couldn't alienate Felicia just yet, no gain would be found from it. A structure was formed up from the ground, a slightly raised circular dais about 4 four feet in diameter. It looked rather like a table actually. The stone surface was smooth and would allow for easy access drawing of the needed circles, they wouldn't be massive or huge but they would function.

When she turned her gaze to Felicia her eyes still had a chaotic glint to them, but considering the needs of personal magic it could be dismissed as a mere side effect of casting. She sobered up and gestured to the dais, the place for her summoning. She'd done something similar for Pandaemus during their session.

"Not massive, but I'd say its functional for your purposes. Once you get the circles up I wonder if you might permit me to Glyph them, best to take every precaution possible. I'd suggest a summoning from... Swalden maybe, at least for the first one. Its the only world I've ever opened a portal to and the Memosite there is quite fascinating." The sorceress suggested.

Her gaze was thrown back out across the landscape, her expression wary and highly alert. She did not want a monster sneaking up on them at this moment, just another danger of using the Testing Ground like this.

A Meeting of Two Pulsers [Felicia]

Postby Felicia Gamora on December 12th, 2013, 4:42 am

Felicia was excited, but she was patient. When they took up walking again, Fel put up no signs of being discontent, following the sorceress closely through the forest. The island still had many things that the summoner had yet to see. Walking through the forest was nice though, as Felicia had always appreciated the beauty of natural life. Trees, flowers, and most animals were fine by her, but there was something about magic that completely consumed the girl. Every moment there was something new to be found about magic. Felicia knew of her own lust for power, and was often unable to keep it in check. She didn't often care about the control she was able to exert over people, it was more about the power she knew how to control. But more of that came with practice, and that's what Anna was helping her do.

"I'm not sure. I really don't know. I'll have to give it some thought." A way to give herself more time. She had been given a lot to think about, and not much time to process it in. This was a first person she had met on the island, and she had already given Felicia more than she could handle. Her time on Sahova would be interesting. A lot was bound to happen, as an ally, or more had been made on the third day. "I'll keep an open mind though. Just give me some time to think." She said offering the same smile she had earlier when first talking with Anna about the comments she was making.

Once again, Felicia was reassured by the sorceress that summoning would be safe here, so long as Anna watched over her. Something about being around Anna was comforting, and Felicia felt rather at ease, even though she heard the wails of beasts out of sight. She wondered what kind of creatures roamed this prairie, and if any of the creatures from Fyrden could fight them, if the summoner even ended up opening a portal to Fyrden. Not all of the creatures from that world were combat ready, some of them taking it as a compete joke altogether. One must be very careful when choosing a familiar, for the wrong creature might be a terrible decision to bond with. Felicia didn't know much about familiarity, but she knew that it existed, and what it concerned.

The summoner also didn't know much about reimancy, other than it's existence. She watched in awe as Anna manipulated djed, eventually raising the small circle from the ground. It was a perfect circle, if Felicia ever saw one. Raised to the perfect height, and a nice diameter, she excitedly waited for Anna to finish her magic. Once she was addressed, and Anna had given the recommendation for Swalden, Felicia practically sprinted onto the dais. Now what to do with the circle.

Felicia took her time with this part, sitting in the center of the circle for quite some time, maybe four or five chimes. Finally standing, she took the brush, dipped it in the ink, and started the outer circle. Easy, something Felicia had done many times over. A second inner circle was created, putting the spot for each coordinate down counter-clockwise, but didn't write any of the numbers in yet. After finishing the inner circle, Felicia paced around again, now deciding how complex this circle needed to be. There were many options, and all worked for very different situations. They wouldn't be doing anything for a terribly long time with a portal open to Swalden, so a six could work. Three's were stable, but a five would be nice for glyphing.

Finally deciding on making a five circle, so that way Anna might have an easy time with her glyphs, Felicia began her work. First, a circle was drawn somewhere near the center, to represent a place she knew always opened to Memosite. Then around this very small circle, she drew a cheery looking, and very neat, house for the five sided shape. After drawing her little house, Felicia hopped off the raised earth, and began to walk around, imagining the numbers and their location. Deciding it would be easier with the numbers written in, the summoner took to that task next. Climbing back up, she walked over and filled in each circle counter-clockwise, the same way their circles were created. Felicia recited the numbers in her head cheerfully while painting them 'eight...four...nine...two...eight...' continuing on until every circle on the second ring was filled with the coordinates 8492841047291777. Pleased with this, she returned to pacing around outside of her circle. It seemed almost random the numbers she chose, but they were very deliberate, drawing lines between two coordinates that connected them. She did this a number of times, but ever line was very straight, and she made sure to keep them only between the numbers she felt were most important, making sure never to draw a line that would disturb the house, and making sure to leave room for Anna to glyph.

After another few chimes of pure observation of the summoning circle, Felicia decided it was an acceptable circle. "I think.... I think it's ready for you to begin glyphing it. I made a circle with a decent connection that will really benefit from your glyphs, so make sure to make them good ones! I'm sure they will be." Smiling, excited, Felicia hardly even noticed the cold anymore. She almost yelped with excitement as she waited for Anna to finish glyphing for the circle. The summoner was almost certain that she had never been quite so excited to stab herself.

Well, Felicia hadn't said no Anna had noticed, just that she needed more time and if that was what she needed the tall woman wouldn't push the issue. A delicate dance then, one Anna was fully intending on enjoying through and through. After all she was to show her around the Citadel a little bit at a later date, the Palsa Hydrasa, though breath taking was immediately scratched out as a destination. Amaryllis was not going to get her claws on this one, not if the sorceress had any say in the matter. The Dungeons and Caverns were possible, as well as some of the higher floors of the Gug Andjak.

Anna watched as the summoner worked with a fervor and comfort that Anna envied on some tiny level. She knew exactly what she wanted and the designs she added to the circle were alien to Anna's simple understanding of Summoning. An artistry was displayed here that the Chaon could admire, and Glyphing sequences were already playing out in her mind. The Focus would need to be placed around the centermost circle, Paths along the lines of connection and a Barrier interwoven into the outermost circle for added stability and strength. That was the theory anyway, technically all magic derived from the same basic elements.

It was all a language, and Glyphing was the codex of that language when one understood it they understood magic. It was a lesson she had beaten into the heads of her students before, many times actually. Without Glyphing a wizard was no true wizard, only a mime going the motions via instinct. Understanding allowed for true mastery of the meta physical forces at work with magic.

Anna stepped forward when Felicia was done, admiring the series of circles for their artistry and conformity to the nature of magic. She dipped the brush in ink and started on a large glyph around the centermost circle, the outline of an inverted triangle coming into formation. Idly Anna wondered what Felicia's Glyphs looked like, her own looked like sequences of geometric shapes. A thought for another time.

"Tell me Felicia, do you know why Glyphing is important for any civilized wizard to practice?" Anna asked, mostly rhetorically, as she continued on the Focus Glyph.

She stayed focused on her work for a moment, giving the other woman space to answer how she would. Regardless of her answer Anna would continue the same way.

"It is because Glyphing is the interconnectivity of all magic in this world, the codex for understanding the language of Djed, the nature force that makes up all things. Your circle and its activation share similarities with my manipulation of the elements, both are centered around the transmutation or transference of Djed. They methods differ but the end result is the same, something is changed and the impossible is made possible." The woman continued, finishing up her Focus and moving on to the Paths that would be interwoven with the lines.

Her Paths followed the same basic theme as all her other Glyphs, stylized geometric symbols. First she started with small barriers around each numeric slot, the pattern for the Barriers being right side up triangle, square and then diamond. This would repeat until there was a ring around each two points the lines connected to, the first parts of her Paths.

Her actual Paths were a series of Glyphs in the reverse order of the Barrier, going diamond, square and then right side up triangle. Her strokes were careful are deliberate, never touching the actual lines themselves but rather being woven around them. These were going to take longer than the small Barriers, however they would add further structure to this already elegant circle.

"Glyphs are much like that nature in that they universally effect and support every magical discipline known, they are the means to decipher the mysterious language of magic. A master of Glyphs is a master of change and alteration, being able to effect not only their own magic but those of others. That change is real power, the understanding of how magic effects change and how to change that change to create something new. Imagine, Felicia, endless possibilities as the laws of magic are made to bend as you understand them, making the impossible for magic user possible." She said as she worked, making very certain that not a single Glyph was out of place.

Anna was not certain why she was giving Felicia this lesson, the girl already trusted her enough so further manipulation was hardly needed but she did it anyway. Perhaps in her maddened mind she was actually missing teaching students, it seemed absurd enough to be a product of that kind of thinking. The Sorceress finished her Paths and looked over the whole layout with a satisfied nod. All that was left was the last Barrier.

She started on the pattern, right side up triangle, square, and diamond as she moved her brush near the outermost circle. Again she was very careful to not touch the circle with the Glyphs, not wanting to risk the whole integrity of the design. She wove the Glyphs in, drawing them each with care and deliberate patience. The insanity was a dull throb in the back her mind, silenced by the rigid order of Glyphs.

When she was finally done Anna stepped back to admire the whole affair and also scanned the horizon for threats. Satisfied she stepped back and gave Felicia a gesture towards the circles, grinning in a very pleased manner. It was all ready, all the young summoner needed to do was spill blood and activate the circle's power.

"With that the stage is yours, dear Felicia. Let us seen what secrets lie beyond the portal shall we, I'll make certain no monsters sneak up on you so never fear." The Sorceress said, placing a hand on her hip and smiling brightly at the other woman.

A Meeting of Two Pulsers [Felicia]

Postby Felicia Gamora on December 12th, 2013, 9:28 am

Felicia watched Anna draw her glyphs. Interestingly enough, they were all recognizable shapes to the summoner. Though the spells or meaning of the glyphs were lost to Fel, she recognized the shapes that were being painted. They were very clean, very orderly, and that was something Felicia could truly appreciate. Creating a summoning circle was no task to be done in a rush. Each line should be perfect, at the risk of destroying the whole circle. Nothing was put into the circle that Felicia didn't want there. Which made Anna's care with her glyphs all the more pleasing. None of the glyphs touched her lines, and Anna managed not to smear or disturb any of the carefully painted connections that Fe had drawn.

The lesson on glyphs wasn't something Felicia had come intending to learn yet, but it was greatly appreciated. The young girl hadn't spent much time practicing glyphing, but knew the basics, just in case she had ever wanted to make an circle with specific properties. Her own glyphs weren't nearly as deliberate as Anna's. For the most part, Felicia just threw together rough glyphs for the things she was in dire need of, almost never putting them on her circles. If the summoner ever used her glyphs on a circle, it would be an animation circle. Felicia saw her summoning circles as far too delicate and intricate for her own crude glyphs. Treating her circles like precious artwork wasn't uncommon, hoping that it would be all the more enticing to whatever was on the other side.

Watching Anna move around her circle was something that Felicia had never thought possible. No one was ever allowed near her circles, other than the artist herself. The trust she had given to the sorceress was remarkable, even in her own mind. Fel had never given so much trust to anyone, even any of the members that she had traveled with during her caravan days. A little bit of doubt welled up inside her mind. Had she actually trusted someone with too much, was letting someone into her circle crossing some sort of line, aside from the ones she had actually drawn? Once Anna had finished drawing the glyphs around the circle, Felicia went to the edge of the platform to double check that all the work was fitting. Just as when she had checked last, the summoner found that Anna's work was up to her par. Nothing touched her lines, and this made Felicia feel at ease, allowing her to rest her mind about the summoning circle.

When given the stage, Fel was prepared to impress. Though nothing about spilling her own blood to summon a stone was really that impressive. Standing up, the summoner took one last look around before taking out her knife. This simple blade was very short, only about three or four inches, but it had her families symbol sitting at the top of the hilt. A simple leaf that was put on everything from their brands, letter stamps, and their knife. It brought back many memories from home. Distracted for just a moment, Felicia thought of her old farm life, with parents and siblings. While seeming nostalgic and nice for a few moments, the memories of why she left came to as quickly as though. For what would certainly not be the last time, Felicia pricked her finger with the knife, drawing a little bit of blood to drop in the circle.

When she touched her finger to the edge of the circle, it began the usual reaction that Felicia had become so accustomed to seeing. The inside of the circle bean swirling around, looking not unlike a puddle of water. Everything was looking stable to the summoner, all the glyphs hadn't messed up her circle, and the connection was fairly strong. Now the fun part.

"So.... I guess we wait now." Felicia sat down next to their mock table, preparing herself for the wait, which could take who knows how long. The portal could probably be held for a number of bells, but Memosite often didn't waste time coming through the portal. When she sat, Felicia tried to think of something she could talk about with her friend. After a moment of consideration, she asked what might be a bit of a dangerous question.

"Do you have any enemies here on the island?"

Anna watched as Felicia opened the portal with her blood, smelling that odd oily smell that often accompanied portals apparently. This was only her second time being near such a portal, so really she wouldn't know if it was the norm or just unique to Swalden. Reflecting on it the feat was impressive, though no where near as satisfying as establishing a connection between This Side and The Other Side through sheer force of will. Creating a gateway not to another world in this reality but to a whole different dimension. Voiding was truly powerful, a pity her own skill with it was hardly threatening.

The Sorceress idly considered drawing a bit more res to create stools at this 'table' she had created, deciding against it as the madness only grew stronger when she expended overt amounts of Djed. Too much casting could send her over the edge, so instead she seated herself across from Felicia and favored her with another smile. Though at her question the quality of the smile dimmed somewhat, heralding a sigh of sorts.

On this inside she wondered if perhaps her paranoid fantasy wasn't so paranoid after all, that Felicia mannerisms were the act of one more skilled at such manipulations. If that was the case what enemy or potential enemy of hers had recruited her? What was her primary objective? What information was and was not safe to give to her? The obvious paranoid answer was none, but Anna had a façade to keep up.

"There is a saying I believe that applies here, 'a person is judged by the quality of their enemies'. I like to think any enemies I possess are rather of high quality and certainly threaten my livelihood. In fighting them I grow stronger and wiser, more attuned to the Citadel and its ways." Anna answered at length, occasionally glancing around just to be certain no threats were nearby.

"Coming here, my dear, you will never find yourself at a shortage of enemies. Petch, you may not even know who they are for sometime but trust me when I say it is easier to make enemies than friends. Though, one should always make certain to keep friends close at had especially influential ones. My enemies are much the same, shrouding themselves in shadows and moving behind the scenes. We play the cards we've been dealt however, such is the way of Sahova." Anna said, ending with a shrug.

It was a way of Anna saying that she didn't know who her enemies were, but that they most certainly existed. It wasn't exactly a lie per say but it concealed the actual truth rather nicely, that truth of Daren Marlow and his connections. That petching Hypnotist was going to pay dearly for his role in her suffering to date. Granted, most every hypnotist was also scum worthy of being eradicated but him especially for daring to tamper with her memories.

Perhaps Felicia would be in a position to assist her with that little problem, but until that time Anna was doing what she could with her own power and time. It didn't help her planning that she'd been so afflicted by madness, marred by his influence in more ways than one. Her mental instability was partly his fault after all in her mind.

"I wouldn't worry overmuch, Felicia, you are doing wonderfully so far and you are not even an apprentice yet. Just remain wary to a healthy degree and skeptical and you'll make it just fine. Also, be mindful of what you promise and to whom as such things are binding on Sahova." She warned, her expression turning dead serious at that last bit to stress its importance.

The last thing she needed was for this newest potential asset to get wound up in a deal she couldn't escape, it would make matters inconvenient for Anna later down the line. She needed to keep her alert, though Anna was already confident she'd wormed her way into her good graces so she was likely beyond overt suspicion. The suspicion was for the tall woman's added benefit as well, who knew what horrid lies Felicia might hear about her new found friend after all? What slander might float around regarding her mental stability? Couldn't let the woman be influenced by such falsehoods after all, oh no.

"Sorry if I'm stressing the same point over again, its just I've seen what can happen to people here. I don't- I don't want to see it happen to you, call me sentimental or soft but seeing a pretty girl like you suffer is not something I want. There is too much of that on Sahova and you deserve a chance at something better." Anna said, looking away from Felicia directly, almost bashfully one might say with that light tint to her cheeks once more.

As always it was all a fabrication of the influence the Lord of Lies held over her, seeming to form attachments and close personal friendships. She played the part of the woman hardened by experience but possessing a soft spot for those fresh fools who knew little of Sahova. Most parts were just that, fabrications, Celeste was different in that she was viewed in a more possessive light by Anna. If she grew fond of Felicia she might very well see her in that same possessive light, but for now she held emotional distance from her companion.

A Meeting of Two Pulsers [Felicia]

Postby Felicia Gamora on December 12th, 2013, 9:46 pm

The smell of was something Felicia had come to know very well, after the painting of many summoning circles. At first, the smell was odd, and the summoner had no desire to smell it again. After time, the girl came to recognize the smell as success, and became almost addicted to it. Leaning her head against the dais, Fel closed her eyes and took a deep inhale while Anna began the stories of her enemies. The smell of the portal flowed through Felicia's nose, and she let out a big smile, knowing that her portal was doing just fine. Leaning in close, making sure it was okay by just the smell, Felicia began to think that she treated her portals how one might treat their children. This put another smile on Felicia, when she finally opened her eyes and paid closer attention to the story being told by Anna.

"I'll be sure to be careful. I'm sure there are people who would fiend on the promises of others." Felicia already wasn't fond of many people on Sahova. All the nuit treated her as though she was worthless, with that terrible new name, pulser. Fel simply hadn't started climbing the ladders of the island yet, but starting on the 40th, all of that must change. Another thought "If your enemies are of such a high quality, and I'm not saying you need it, but I'd be happy to help you with anything. I don't know much about the island, and I'm not allowed many places yet, but I'll do what I can. Consider it repayment for everything you've done for me today." It might be a dangerous promise, one that she had just been warned about, but Anna was worth it. Felicia might still be floundering about the quarters, or lost in the courtyard if it hadn't been for the sorceress. The least she could do was lend a hand in the uprooting of her friends enemies.

When yet again complimented, Fel would finally collapse. For once, the farm girl had formulated a witty answer in just a moment of time. Watching Anna turn away for a moment, Felicia had an answer for when she turned back. Offering her own wide smile, Felicia replied with "I'm not all looks you know, I like to think I have a brain." After finishing Felicia sent the most ungraceful wink at Anna. After that, the summoner felt stupid, and began laughing and buried her own face in her lap. Looking up for just a moment afterwards, she finished off with "Remind me never to try that again. I'm more likely to attract dying animals than a person." Continuing to laugh for a moment, and reburying her face. After just a few moments, Fel would ask another question "Do you have any advice for my trials?" It was a somewhat lame question, and Felicia knew there probably wasn't much Anna could do to help her, but it was worth a shot, and an easy way to change the subject.

Not too long after the question was asked, the summoner felt something with her portal. Something had gone through the djed aura, and she felt it pass before she heard it. Sure enough though, a light thud followed as a piece of Memosite jumped out and landed somewhere on the back side of their table. Felicia didn't move though, she didn't seem incredibly worried, there was no one here right? No one would touch their Memosite. lifting her head off the wall which she had again propped it up on, she looked in the direction of the stone, and then back at Anna. "You want to get this one, or should I?"

Felicia felt it was best to offer the stone to her friend, just in case Anna really wanted it. The summoner had experimented many times with summoning Memosite, getting some pretty interesting secrets from the stone. Sometimes, Felicia would wonder if they were actual messages that she happened to intercept, or maybe it was just other summoners doing the same thing she was. Wanting to look into another world through another persons eyes. Even if it was a message or memory from someone recent, it was always interesting to see the world in that moment, from another persons mind. Though summoning to Swalden wasn't her favorite, which was easily Fyrden with all it's creatures, the Memosite was definitely not a waste of time.

The experiences Felicia often had with Swalden were odd, which was the only reason Fel decided that the coordinates were truly worth memorizing by heart. Though she did have all the common worlds memorized, there were only two of them that the summoner kept close at hand, in case the opportunity to summon to either of them presented itself. Fyrden was strongly preferred by Felicia, she would not put up an argument with the chance to summon Memosite. Felicia had yet to be told a dull story by a piece of the stuff. She let out another yawn, stretching a bit and looking around while Fel waited for Anna to decide what to do.

Anna noted Felicia's offer, and was sorely tempted to accepted it for what it was considering that word was law here on Sahova. Being promised anything was always a dangerous thing as one's word was their oath, or so the saying went. She opted not to be overly cruel here, no matter how much she actually wanted to on the inside. Best to simply display a little charm on commenting on her word choice and innuendo into it.

The sorceress chuckled at the girl's attempt to flirt back, it was rather endearing to her. Anna learned what she knew on the subject from East Street whores, and from a few incidents of seduction on her own time. Ruebia that cat kelvic had been the last time since arriving on Sahova. Nearly two sexless seasons, Rhysol that was a lot and it was certainly irritating.

"Oh my dear, don't be embarrassed. Its just us girls here, I won't judge you for your lack of experience. You just need more practice is all, feel free to practice on me any time. As for being more than a pretty face I can see that, you are indeed quite capable to possess access to the summoning arts." Anna said with another chuckle.

"Also, anything you say? Very tempting, there are all sorts of things I can think I'd want you to do. Fortunately for you I'm not one to take advantage of someone so readily, so I'll get back to you on that favor." The Sorceress said, her smile slightly sardonic.

Anna actually had to think long and hard about the girl's Judgment and just what she could do, her mind working quickly over countless possibilities. Summoning was obviously her specialty but perhaps she could be aided a little more by Anna herself, who wanted her newest piece to very much pass her examination. It was too early to think her ready enough for something like reimancy, the initiation was something Anna didn't give out lightly. However her Glyphing skills could certainly be built upon... perhaps with a furthering in that education she could be made skilled enough to attach Triggers to her portals. That would certainly prove that she was a cut above her fellows.

Yes... perhaps, though she'd need quite a bit of education to reach that level if she wasn't already. Her knowing some personal magic would also be a good idea, especially considering the risks of Summoning. There was also the fact that by then Anna would, hopefully, be well on her way into her Wizard rank. As long as she didn't get killed or screw up horribly in someway. Perhaps the sorceress could help out a little...

"Well, I'm not a good summoner so I couldn't advise you there. However it might be wise to display good supplementary skills along with the primary one. For instance I personally passed mine via production of a Glyphed scroll and an advanced display of control over three prime elements. Perhaps sufficient runic designs on your circles, even Triggers, could prove advanced enough. Might also help if you knew some offensive magic." Anna offered, shrugging slightly.

"If you would like to we could meet in the Common Labs tomorrow and I could assist you with Glyphing, I did once teach it after all. Unless you have other plans." Anna offered, a reassuring grin on her face.

Anna noted the Memosite and Felicia's offer, which the Sorceress was inclined to refuse. Her mind was already unstable enough without compounding alien thoughts to it. Insanity introduced instability and instability in front of her new found friend could be ill afforded. Best to play it safe, though she admitted she was curious as to what secrets laid within the stone.

"I would not think to rob you of the opportunity, it was your blood that brought it forth so its only right you should have first rights on whatever is within. Besides, I should stay alert in case anything nasty sneaks up on us." The woman explained.

A Meeting of Two Pulsers [Felicia]

Postby Felicia Gamora on December 13th, 2013, 4:24 am

Felicia was glad to help, excited that Anna had things she might want done, but a little relieved when told that, yet again, Anna was not here to take advantage of her. Something that continually solidified Felicia's trust for her new sorceress friend. With every offer made, and all the advice given, Felicia was hard pressed to find a reason not to trust Anna. With a firm ally to back her, Felicia wasn't so afraid of this island suddenly. Sure she would still watch her own back, and make sure not to give so much information away so easily as she often did, but with the thought of a powerful reimancer and glypher as a friend, there wasn't much Felicia was worried about. Except Judgement. That was still a huge issue, one that demanded her attention, ripping her away from the world every few minutes. Failing those would be shameful beyond comparison. Every day from now on must be spent preparing to impress those who were to judge the summoner.

A supplementary magic? That probably a good idea. Felicia had considered adding glyphs to her circles a number of times, but not often did she end up following through with the idea. Fel's glyphs were ugly, most of them not very advanced. She could barely make the circle for barriers correctly, and that wasn't very impressive. For this reason, they often stayed away from the summoners circles.

"I think I'd like to learn some more glyphing. Mine aren't too impressive at the moment, and I don't have anything tomorrow." The idea that she now had a friend, one she could rely on for help, was nice. Knowing now that there were many dangers on the island, and a lot of the people were willing to take advantage of others. A new girl on the island might be someone that others would look to take advantage of even more, since she had no ties to any other mages on the island. It's a good thing she found Anna first, someone to warn her, help her, and guide her through the new experiences of Sahova. Felicia was truly grateful to whatever god out there that had influence over this meeting. A partner to truly help her pass Judgement was something the summoner was in dire need of. Sure her summoning was alright, with a good knowledge of the planets and the creation of circles, but what good would that be if nothing came through? Certainly a portal would be open to Fyrden, but what if a less impressive creature came through, like an Avavali that wouldn't stop laughing at the summoner. She would surely be dismissed for something like that. But what creatures were within her grasp were truly impressive enough to hope for?

Distracting thoughts about Judgement stilled in her mind when the sorceress explained why the summoner should be the one to take the stone. It was reasonable, Felicia had put tons of her own blood into summoning over the years. Anna was also much more suitable a candidate than Fel to be watching anyones back. Felicia might be able to get a lucky stab out if she had to, but in a real fight against a creature that wanted to kill them, the summoner wouldn't be of much use. Standing up and dusting herself off a bit, Felicia went over to the Memosite, and picked it up. It was only a matter of moments before a memory that wasn't hers was given by the stone.

A man walked through the halls of Sahova. This man was tall and expressionless, obviously a nuit. His body had long hair, resting constantly in front of his eyes, and was constantly moving it around to see where he was going. He was in a hurry, though he hand't much to do, he simply wanted to finish his task, and return to the lab. As he walked through the first floor of labs, he came up to a wall, and touched one specific brick, and walked away. Back to his lab in order to send the memory off through the stone of Swalden.

An interesting memory, but definitely not the strangest Felicia had ever seen from Swalden. It was probably about a hidden treasure, or a place he was to meet someone at a later date, and needed to send the information without confronting his associate. Perhaps it even led to some treasure or something interesting of the sort. Felicia shared a short giggle with herself, and proceeded to pick a memory that she would put back into the stone.

A young girl walked around in a dark room only lit by candles. The girl was short, tired, and had a medium length of dark red hair. Scrambling around what looked to be like a basement to finish the work she had started. There were two circles, with some glyphs on them, and a lock on the other side. The girl sat down in the circle and pricked a tiny finger. The circle lit up with djed, and began transferring the will and ideas of the tiny mage into the tinier lock.

It was a simple memory of her own childhood, when she was practicing her animation in the basement while her parents left for town. The lock was her fourth or fifth item to animate, and it only locked or unlocked when someone said 'muck.' A word that at the time Felicia had obsessed over for no reason other than childishness. She was sure that nothing bad could come from this memory, the only truly valuable knowledge in it was the image of the circle, and the ideas of teaching a lock to understand muck. With the memory secured away in the stone, Felicia tossed it back into the circle, watching it disappear behind the watery surface, and closed the circle.

"Does Sahova have any secret passages? I saw a man point out a brick somewhere I recognized." It was in fact the location of a witness type golem, but Felicia had no idea what those were yet, and so the ideas of treasure and secrets flowed through her mind like a child's fantasy. After just a few more moments of waiting around, Felicia took a sort of double take at where they were, standing at the edge of the prairie, with a closed summoning circle. Another tick passed, and Felicia asked "So.... what should we do now?"

A Meeting of Two Pulsers [Felicia]

Excellent, it would be good to teach once more though her purposes at this time were less than noble and much more manipulative than before. Her last student had been Tsaba, the Sahovan Nuit that had come to Zeltiva looking to experience the wider world. Anna had given her a gift, initiation to Reimancy and a great deal of knowledge regarding Glyphing. In return the undead had told her of Sahova and its purpose, as well as how the living were treated there. The Nuit had been the reason for her departure, the one to tell her of this place were magic research was at its highest.

Now this summoner, eager and trusting was to take on that role. Would she gain the same gifts and show the same potential Tsaba had? Only time would tell, however Anna was not fond of those who were irredeemably weak. Felicia had shown some weakness, however she had a good head on her shoulders and an obvious thirst for the arcane. Beyond that she was also alive, making her far more appealing that Pandaemus had been. The Animator was distrustful and somewhat clever, a fool, but a cunning and paranoid fool.

Anna noticed as Felicia took the stone and her mind was consumed with the memory, seeming to be somewhere far away judging from her face. It ended quickly and the woman focused on the stone, this part Anna was familiar with. She had placed her own memory in a Memosite and given it to Pandaemus, who had confirmed what Memosite was. Truly it was a powerful thing, to store memories rather like a library of thought.

The summoner tossed the stone back into the portal, which was then closed and left them sitting over a closed portal. Rather an abrupt end but it was an end to the summoning session, which had served its purpose. Felicia was obviously much more skilled and knowledgeable regarding summoning than Anna, knowing more about circle construction and likely the worlds that were deemed common. She would be a useful piece, provided Anna could push her along the desired path.

The woman considered the red haired woman's question, thinking of any passages that might be considered secret. There was the one in the Palsa Hydrasa that was connected to a warehouse at the Harbor, where corpses were transported. Anna also suspected it could be utilized as an escape route if ever Amaryllis' domain was threatened, though considering that Anna was pretty much one of the most powerful reimancers on the Island there were few that could threaten the place anyway. That was also excepting any other secrets the Embalmer herself had hidden.

"There are one or two that I know of, however no doubt countless exist. This is an island filled with paranoid wizards after all, no doubt they would have such secrets all over the place. Perhaps we should investigate this memory at a later date?" Anna suggested, actually very interested in this little tidbit of information.

What to do next? Well that was the question wasn't it, though Anna had a few ideas actually. One of which was more to entice Felicia even further, certainly she had been impressed by her control of the earth. However what would she think of one who could summon fire, conduct the air's movement, generate Ivak's lifeblood with a gesture and a thought? Probably that she was powerful, and hopefully awaken a craving for that power. Besides, a little actual practice would do some good.

"Hmm... since you've shown me what you can do, Felicia I think its only fair I show you something more impressive than creating a table. A reason I can claim to be one of the most talented reimancers on this island." The sorceress said, standing and stretching slightly.

This was a bit risky of course, her mental stability was still fragile. It could be that she might do something she'd regret under the haze of casting, but she'd need to resume practice sooner or later. Might as well start now with an audience to impress. Her stretching complete Anna stood upon the dais and gestured for Felicia to step back a good ways, reimancy could get a bit hazardous after all.

Her grey eyes were a bit more stormy now, the prospect of casting lighting the haze of madness and uniting with the urge. Anna gazed out at the terrain surrounding her and smiled, plenty of room to cast without fear of collateral damage. Just the way she liked it to be honest, a place where destruction mattered not.

The Sorceress focused her Djed to bottoms of her feet again, also moving the energy to gather under the palms of her hands. She adopted a similar stance as she had before when she'd raised the table, preparing for casting. A few deep and cycled breaths later she was read to begin with res generation, an almost manic smile creasing her face. Yes, it was time to get started.

The focused Djed was pushed outwards, translucent purple liquid pooling where directed on her extremities. She didn't suppress the erotic moan as she pushed the energy out, by Rhysol the heat of casting was one of the few times she ever felt truly alive. It was only the prelude though as she continued to generate further res until it completely sheathed her arms and legs.

Anna did not stop here, Djed gathered under her tongue and was pushed outwards with each breath in puffs of purple mist. She felt drained for all this res expenditure and the urge was teasing at her madness, bidding it to come out and play. She decided to indulge this and by Rhysol it felt petching good as most care slipped away from her.

Anna moved the liquid res outwards from her body, willing a large pool of the vital liquid to gather out on the ground while an quartet of smaller balls were made to circle her body. The cloud of res was a halo of mist around her body, shrouding her slightly from sight. She spared a look over her shoulder to her companion, the flicker of chaos in her eyes as she manipulated the res.

"Tell me, my dear, have you ever wondered what the most powerful personal magic in this world is? Voiding might open portals to other dimensions and Hypnotism might influence the minds of others, but Reimancy it utter power at its finest. Its ability to destroy and create is unmatched, the one who master it is the one who masters the world around them." Anna said, chuckling as she held out her hand.

With an errant wave of her hand she sent the balls of purple liquid outwards one after the other. As they did she brought both hands out before her and adjusted her stance accordingly. Her zone of control was formidable, large in scope and range. Her aim was as such almost always dead on. Such was how powerful she had become at this point in her life, and she was only becoming more powerful as the days passed. One day not even Maelstrom would be able to match her.

As the balls sped out Anna straightened out her hands as a signal for the transmutation of the outer later to occur. The liquid res was agitated to such a degree that the four balls ignited, purple flames springing up into existence. She kept her focus and her eyes upon them as they moved closer and closer to the edge of her zone of control, at which point she jabbed outwards with her hand to signal the next phase.

The inner layer of the four firebolts split into two, creating eight small balls of fire. She willed the inner layer to collapse entirely as an influx of ignition of the internal layer of res. All eight of the projectiles expanded almost explosively just as they existed the zone of control, almost creating a curtain of flickering purple flames.

Anna sighed in bliss as she was swept up by the waves of pleasure, the heat of the moment sweeping her up in its intense waves. This was all flash though, those projectiles would surely kill but were hardly practical for actual combat. It was all a show to impress her companion and designed to draw her in to the desire for magical power. It was time for the second act however, the next part of the grand orchestra of elemental control.

The Sorceress took control of the cloud of res that encircled her and moved it a good distance away from her body, aiming in the same location as the curtain of purple flames. A pleased grin gripped her as she willed the gas to move upwards and start to arc down harshly as she ignited the air. The air crackled maliciously, brilliant purple sparks coming to life and dancing in the air as she worked her magic.

The res was shaped into three distinct arcs and was finally given her full transmutation signal with a raising of her hands before her and a clenching of her fists. The sparks became full blow lightning bolts of relatively moderate size and screeched outwards towards the curtain. They moved at such fast speeds that no enemy could possibly avoid such projectiles, they would simply be utterly fried.

The salvo of lightning struck the ground outside her zone of control, utterly destroying the remnants of the curtain of fire. The impact thundered out like a loud rumble from such a distance, drawing a smirk from Anna. Her reserves were still well within safe levels for the last part of her display, the grand finale that always shocked others. Even Maelstrom had complemented her talents after this power, the raw heat forcing him back the slightest bit. A mark of pride for Anna that she had forced any such thing from him.

By now Anna was letting loud giggles escape her lips, her mind ablaze with the madness and the urge pushing her ever onwards. Felicia was a faint memory, a presence she only vaguely recalled in the heat of this utter pleasure. With some degree of restraint she managed to avoid generating more res and instead focused on the large pool gathered nearby.

She moved it a good distance from her body, having no wish to be seared by the intense heat about to be discharged. Once it was in position Anna gestured her hands in a wide rising motions over her head and ending with her fists at her side. This signaled the final transmutation and the most intense power under her command was unleashed.

The purple liquid was forced upwards as it superheated, reaching a temperature rarely seen on the Mizaharian surface. It transmuted to molten liquid, the para-element of lava and Ivak's life blood. It looked rather reminiscent of a small eruption, only made certain to be directed away from her. It was this technique that had held off Maelstrom's shards of ice, and just as then even with the distance between her and it she could feel the searing heat from here.

It washed away the cold but Anna was too wrapped up in the sheer and utter joy of casting, the urge throbbing at her skull and a light sheen of sweat forming over her skin. She wanted to keep going, to generate more and she almost did except she remembered Felicia was still there. The tall woman pinched her brow and tried to retain control of lucidity for just a while longer, she could snap here in front of her new ally.

The Reimancer stepped down from the table and addressed the summoner, the heat still at her back. She opted for casual remarks, to act nonchalant about having given birth to a miniature eruption. It wasn't really out of the ordinary for her anyway, though Felicia was probably different story.

"Well, probably not as exciting as summoning creatures from other worlds, but what did you think? Rather useful in a pinch really and really enjoyable in my opinion." The sorceress said, raising an eyebrow at the summoner.

OOCSorry, obnoxiously long post. :p

A Meeting of Two Pulsers [Felicia]

Postby Felicia Gamora on December 13th, 2013, 1:09 pm

Another adventure had a date for the two mages had been set already. Tomorrow glyphing, and treasure hunting another day! Oh boy how exciting. Completely satisfied with the idea of adventuring more around the castle, Felicia prepared herself mentally for the next few days, running their courses in her mind. Glyphing practice, goofing off, more summoning practice, and then the Judgment. The day always seemed to find a way to plague the summoners mind at the most inconvenient of times. It was quite the important date however, considering it determined the rest of her career on Sahova, or if it even started. With the help of Anna, Felicia was becoming less and less worried about the date, seeing as the sorceress had agreed to help the summoner learn more about glyphing.

When Anna offered to show Felicia reimancy power, the farm girl was excited to watch her partner at her best. When motioned to stand back, Felicia put a good distance between the two of them, not wanting to be accidentally hurt if something happened to go wrong. Fel trusted the sorceress, but there was always the chance that something bad could happen, and so a healthy distance was put between the two partners. Sitting back down again, Felicia shuffled a bit while she sat, moving around the dirt under her to make it as comfortable as dirt could be. It was almost like her bed in the quarters, she could probably sleep here if she was tired. Smiling at her own jokes, she looked back up as the show was beginning when Anna began to draw the first bits or res. Which was another thing that Felicia hadn't much a clue about. Reimancy never captured the summoners attention, viewing it as a bit brutish, and enjoying the more social aspect of summoning. Her conversations with Fyrden creatures were always interesting ones.

As the sorceress manipulated the res, Felicia saw something in Anna's eyes, something a bit startling. There was a bit of glee, something Felicia had only imagined being in the eyes of someone far beyond mad. Perhaps it was just something reimancy did to it's users, making it seem all the less enticing to practice. Things were only to go from bad to worse as this performance of magic continued. The first sign of trouble was the moan, and then the words. Nothing had ever enticed her about personal magics, and the way Anna spoke of reimancy as if it dominated all magic itself scared Felicia. With res flying and quickly turning to fire, all the intensities of the moment grew exponentially. As lightning flew, Fel could swear she heard giggles. Petching giggles.

This woman is completely insane.

Out of the frying pan and into the fire. From one day, Felicia saw herself go up in rank by a chance meeting. Suddenly she was in with the wrong crowd. It only took a tick, but with every single one that passed the situation seemed to become worse and worse, even more than imaginable. The summoner had almost cried in fear of what she had gotten herself into. This was definitely no farm, with no family, and no friends. As the lava erupted in front of Anna, Felicia had come to the conclusion that this was no woman, but a monster of magics. Yet somehow, in the last moments of eruption, Felicia managed to find some sliver of hope, a silver lining of sorts. Perhaps this woman was mad, completely over the edge, but she was obviously powerful, to an intense degree. Not only was this woman powerful, but she had picked Felicia, out of everyone on this forsaken island of the dead to take out, to help, to teach. Felicia didn't think of it until now, but two things had just occurred to her.

Firstly, she was being manipulated. This woman was insane, crazy, off her rocker, and she wanted Felicia to do something to help an agenda that didn't revolve around Felicia becoming the successor. The only reason the sorceress was helping the summoner, was so the farm girl could fill out some sort of sick task that the mad woman wouldn't want getting her hands dirty for, something she might not want her name on, revenge on someone she despised. For whatever reason she wanted Fel, she did, and was going to great lengths to ensure the farm girls success in order to fill this out.

Secondly, Felicia had some sort of power that had floated past her unnoticed until now. If a mage this powerful wanted her, went through trouble to ensure that Felicia was happy and cared for to gain trust, to ensure the summoners success. There was only one reason someone would do that on such a twisted island. The farm girl had power, a power that other people wanted on their side, powerful people. Ones who could create insanely dangerous magics, through insane methods. All the same, because Felicia had realized that she was a rook, being made to believe she was a pawn.

Unknowingly so, Felicia had accidentally set her self up in the most perfect imperfect situation. Though she was scared of Anna and her power, Anna was afraid of losing Felicia, and wished to keep the farm girl under the idea that she was being cared for. Why not let Anna believe her plan was succeeding. Felicia would show not even the slightest trace of fear, distain, nor betrayal. Now the real trick had set in, a wonderful terrible idea. Felicia the rook, now wearing the mask of a pawn, would hide behind Anna the queen. All the while, the rook would be wary of the queen, but agreeable so long as the rook didn't harm itself for the queen. Plans would be made, and secrets would be kept, but so long as Felicia played the part of the pawn, the day she shone as a rook would be splendid.

Now, I am a true Sahovan.

An odd thought, seeing as Felicia had never really planned to become like those on the island, though in a few ticks notice, she had completely changed. Prepared to hold to her new ideals, Felicia was ready when Anna turned and spoke.

"I'm quite sure I've never seen anything so explosive when summoning. The most excitement there is a dangerous creature, or a circle sputtering out. Nothing like lava or lightning. I was truly impressed at the eruption, and honestly a bit scared. Reimancy is powerful, and it looks very dangerous. I'm not sure I'd have what it takes to use a personal magic like that." All of it true, the only lie being that she wanted to explode into an emotional fear, but was trying to keep it all inside. Felicia managed to smile though, even give a little laugh. She needed a way out though, with all of this fear inside her body, she needed time to recuperate before attempting to really talk again.

"I....I..." Stuttering a bit at the beginning of her sentence, trying to find the right words. "I'll be honest, I think I need to relax a bit right now. My mind is in a bit of a whirl. What time do you want me to meet you for glyphing tomorrow, and where?" Felicia was still genuinely interested in practicing glyphing more, which helped a bit, since she hadn't actually had to lie to Anna yet. Fel attempted not to seem too scared, only a hint, just enough to show that she really did need to rest after all of this, but not enough to make the sorceress think that the new girl had been scared off completely by the magic display.

Felicia stood up and held her arms out, waiting for Anna to close the distance for a hug. The summoner needed some sort of comfort, no matter who it came from at this moment. She would only allow it to be short though, a quick touch, a moment of solace in the center of hell. Felicia would allow Anna to escort her back to the quarters, making it apparent that the summoner needed to leave, but didn't want to be rude. After the short hug, Fel rubbed here eyes holding back so many tears that wanted to flow out right now, but she wouldn't let a single one escape right now.

"Alright, if you don't mind taking me back to the quarters, I think I'm ready to go." Waiting for Anna to lead the way, Felicia rocked back and forth on her toes and heels very lightly as she waited for the sorceress to lead the way back to her bed.
OOCI took a bit of a liberty assuming Anna would return the hug. If this is really out of character for her, or not the course of action she would have taken, just message me and I'll change it ^.^
