Leo Valini
Image Name: Leo Valini
Race: Human
DoB: 35 Fall 468
PoB: Syliras
Title: Businessman
Skills: 60 Negotiation, 43 Leadership, 27 Organization, 30 Persuasion, 40 Rhetoric, 20 Mathematics, 23 Music Instrument: Fiddle, 26 Seduction
Gnosis: None

Additional Info: Leo Valini is the head of a moderately successful merchant house in Syliras. His primary business is in the import and sales of goods from Riverfall, Kenash, Zeltiva, and across the Suvan Sea in Alvadas. The constant call for the upper crust of Syliras to have the most exotic and unique items has provided him with a demand which allows for a successful life.

When it comes to the negotiating table there aren't many better in Syliras than one Leo Valini. The man is personable, quick witted, and able to adjust on the fly with ease. For the most part he purchases for the price he wants and sells for what he desires, rarely finding himself on the band end of a deal. That said, he takes care to try and make sure his business partners do not feel duped by the game of coins. Leo often gives 'discounts' to people he 'likes', though it almost always falls right at the price he was planning on at the start of the conversations.

Leo Valini has an eye for the finer things in life, and he has no problem using his small fortune to get what he wants. When he isn't hard at work, he has no problems letting lose, throwing back a few drinks and charming a pretty girl with his wits and his money. There are rumors abound which suggest that Mr. Valini is involved in some less than legitimate business activities, but to this date nothing of any substance has surfaced. The majority of his problems comes in his dealings with Kale Belmont, another extremely successful businessman.

Kale Belmont
Image Name: Kale Belmont
Race: Human
DoB: 88 Spring 461
PoB: Syliras
Title: Businessman
Skills: 55 Negotiation, 40 Persuasion, 60 Intimidation, 52 Observation, 43 Politics, 88 Organization, 32 Mathematics, 30 Rhetoric, 60 Subterfuge
Gnosis: None

Additional Info: Kale Belmont is said to be one of the most influential non-knights in Syliras. The extremely large man inherited a vast estate from his father and never looked back, rising quickly to the top of the classes, climbing over and pushing down everyone he could along the way. Importing, exporting, buying, selling, even taking over smaller businesses and all but destroying those who resisted his expansion, the mogul only wishes to expand his economic empire and control Syliras as much as he is able. The Knights offer protection to his efforts within the walled city, and that's protection he doesn't have to pay for. He takes full advantage of the situation to not only offer his financial backing to knights he feels can be of use, but to run his business with the utmost efficiency.

Mr. Belmont is a ferocious man who views most others as second class citizens and unworthy of his time. Despite this, he is still very successful at making contracts work out to his favor through the use of manipulation, fear tactics, and coercion. Very rare is the man or woman who gets the better of Kale Belmont and even rarer are those who don't end up regretting it.

Anyone who knows anything about Kale Belmont knows he has three things he values above all else: Money, food, and Isabelle. Money is power, and with power he can do anything he wishes. Food is delicious and he simply can't resist trying the most expensive and exotic of dishes. Finally, atop this chain is his lovely daughter, Isabelle. She is his everything, and he is the stereotypical overprotective father when it comes to her. He guards all of these three vigorously, and if need be, violently. He has established himself as a man not to trifle with.

Isabelle Belmont
Image Name: Isabelle Belmont
Race: Human
DoB: 32 Winter 494
PoB: Syliras
Title: Daughter of Kale Belmont
Skills: 20 Cooking, 30 Drawing, 16 Mathematics, 15 Organization, 27 Play Musical Instrument: Flute
Gnosis: None

Additional Info:Isabelle Belmont is the sole child of Kale Belmont. Her mother, Delilah Belmont, died in childbirth. Rarely viewed outside her home, the young woman has lived an even more sheltered life than most of the citizens of Syliras. With a father who won't let her go anywhere without his escort, she was forced to learn about the world through a vast library she'd talked Kale into purchasing for her. While she was restricted to the estate, she was never wanting for anything materialistic. The finest of fine in clothing, jewelry, and anything else she requested was at her fingertips, and she had no problems taking advantage of it.

For most of her life her sire groomed her to be married off if he saw the need to offer her hand in marriage as a means to achieve a better position in the pecking order withing Syliras. As time passed, however, he decided none were on the same level as he daughter and grew into the overly protective man he is today. Isabelle now spends the majority of her free time drawing, reading, and playing her flute.

The life of a rich man's daughter led to two distinct characteristics when it comes to rare dealings with people other than her father. One, she's extremely naive. With stories being her only escape, the young woman has a somewhat warped view of what Mizahar is like. Everything she views is through rose colored lenses, with all these tales of heroes and good over evil being her reality. That said, she's extremely spoiled. She expects to get what she wants and will go running to daddy if someone hurts or scorns her, even if the transgression is simply perceived and non-existent. Most people would consider her a sweet girl, even if a brat is underneath a beautiful surface.

NPC Knights

Mona Reeves
ImageName: Mona Reeves
Rank: Knight, Gray Company, 1st Regiment, Gold Quadron
Race: Human
DoB: Spring 13, 450 AV
Gnosis: 1 Sylir
Skills: 50 Kite Shield, 45 Longsword, 40 Longbow, 35 Horse Riding

Mona Reeves is a dedicated Knight with a rather unusual nickname amongst the other Knights. She's known as the 'Squire Eater,' and for good reason. She is especially good at finding people with a lot of potential at joining the Knights. Her favorite method is to force her current squire, usually the newest, to challenge someone who has caught her eye, to combat, which she bets on. If the prospect loses, they become her squire, if they win, she badgers them until they become her squire. None have ever successfully refused her once she's selected them.

Mona Reeves is not of the names of the noble families of Syliras, but she is a third generation Knight. At a young age, she was able to best her older brothers in combat, and occasionally her father. She was constantly able to find those stronger than her, then challenge them, often daily, until she was able to beat them. She squired for the only man she wasn't able to beat, and several years later, she finally did. And that was when she was given her Knighting Quest, which she completed with relative ease.

In modern times, she serves as an older mentor to many Knights, but especially squires. Even in her aging form, beating her in combat is rare for squires. She can still often be found wandering the town, looking for prospects, not just for herself, but for any Knight. Receiving a training lesson is often considered a rite of passage for many a squire, and she's something of an urban legend, as many tall tales of false feats have been born from the squires' loose lips.

Natasha Druva
ImageName:Natasha Druva
Race: Human but with trace Drykas lineage.
DoB:483 A.V. in the 56th of summer.
PoB:Syliras
Title:Knight
Skills:Longsword: 63, Dagger: 57, Horsemanship: 47, Riding: 54, Unarmed : 49, Teaching: 46, Shield: 40, Short bow: 35, Philosophy: 34, Wilderness Survival: 30, Observation: 25.
Gnosis: 1 Sylir
Additional Info: Natasha was born as part of the Drova lineage, one of the founding families that formed what eventually became the Syliran knights. As one would expect from being born into the knights, their influence rubbed off on her from a very early age. Her parents, being high ranked knights, meant as a young child she had many sponsors, most being of the firswinged families themselves. As such a little bit of each family was embedded in her, however in her childhood the family that imparted the most wisdom into her as a page were of the Stalinsa family, the firstwing family whose members were often skilled swordsman and guards. Her time spent with that family sparked an innate desire to master the longsword. Of course, not being an actual Stalinsa means meant that the skill would take longer as she had none of the natural affinity some of the other Stalinsa members seemed to have inherited, however, for another virtue embedded into the knights were patience and persistence.

After her coming of age and stepping into the role of a squire, her patron was a knight descending from the Brock family line. From that knight she had learned most of her skills, but most importantly a skill that connected with her Drykas heritage, horsemanship. As known throughout Mizahar the Drykas were not only natural hunters as the Drova blood showed, but they were known riders who formed a special bond with their horses. For years she cultivated her skills, those taught to her and those that seemed to come naturally to the Drova lineage.

And finally, the time came, the time for her knightly quest. As she sat beside the Windoak dressed in the simple garb that was ceremonious for all who would visit it. She lied there, spoke to the tree waiting for a response, soon closed her eyes and inadvertently slept as she waited. At that time the dream came, the vision detailing her quest. It seemed simple really, it had her traveling with a family and protecting them from… but where it began and where it ended meant it was long and treacherous . For it began in Yaheba and would end back into the comforting embrace of Syliras.

And while the completion of the quest was important, the journey was even more so. For as long as lasted, perhaps half the year more or less, she had learned things about herself and about she lived in. She found experience in applying all the skills she had learned and she learned more in the process. And on the journey back, protecting the family had taught her faith, a faith that was present long before she had left Syliras. Her faith in Yahal ignited like a wild flame, so strong was it instilled to her that once she returned successfully completing her quest; she affectionately referred to all she spoke as brother and sister. She had earned her armor, her sword and shield and thus began a long and fruitful career.

Today she’s known amongst her peers as a patient and fair individual, devoted to Yahal and a fair teacher. However, like all knights she still held that belief that there way is always right, that injustice must be taken care of immediately and wonders why such blights like Sunberth haven’t been cleansed from all its sins and evils.

Wade Brock
ImageName: Wade Brock
Race: Human
DoB: 22th of Summer, 468 AV
PoB: Syliras
Title: Syliran Knight, "Uncle Wade"
Rank: Knight, Red Company, 1st Regiment, Gold Quadron
Skills: 80 Longsword, 65 Shield, 35 Heavy Crossbow, 45 Riding: Horse, 40 Unarmed Combat, 30 Flux, 55 Teaching
Gnosis: 1 Sylir, 1 Ennervism
Additional Info: Wade Brock, one of the veteran knights of the Syliran Order. He's a middle-aged man that exhume an aura of authority, Wade himself is a calm, no-nonsense man, with a seemingly perpetual frown on his face, but it may be due to his wrinkles. Wade is an honorable and respectful man, he also actively worships Yahal. One could see that everything this man said is always serious, he rarely jest and he rarely gives sarcastic remarks as well, letting his logic and honor drive his actions.

Wade is a member of the Brock family name, one of the "First Wing" family of the Order. From his childhood, he had been trained to be the ideal knight, honorable, firm, and courageous. It succeeded.

If there are any things that could give the man some visible smile, no matter how small it may be, is children, especially well-behaved ones. He views children as innocent people rarely capable of committing truly malicious actions on purpose, he also respects people that take cares and loves children as well. As such, he's one of the knights that often frequented The Welcome Home Orphanage, just to check up on the well-being of the children there. The children there affectionately calls him "Uncle Wade".

Titus Maximus
ImageName: Titus Maximus
Race: Human
DoB: 15th of Summer 483 A.V
PoB: Syliras
Title: "Titus the Hammer"
Rank: Sergeant Knight, Brown Company, 2nd Regiment, Silver Quadron
Skills: 77 Warhammer, 35 Shield, 55 Crossbow, 40 Riding: Horse, 51 Brawling, 45 Unarmed Combat, 58 Intimidation, 40 Leadership
Gnosis: 1 Sylir
Additional Info: A very tall man at the height of 6'6" (2 meters), Titus has the height and muscle strength to wield his favorite large Warhammer, smashing and crushing enemies of the Order. Titus himself is a spirited knight full of energy, his voice carries so much force that he can make lesser men cower and braver men flinch when he shouted at them.

He enjoys good ale, good comrades, and especially, good weapons. He takes really good care of his weapons, especially his Warhammer. He has a tendency to shout some battle-cries before battle, as such, he's most known for bellowing "IT'S HAMMER TIME!!" before charging into battle, gaining him the nick-name "Titus the Hammer".

Caelin Verellin
ImageName: Caelin Verellin
Race: Human
DoB: 51st of Summer, 581 AV
PoB: Syliras
Title: Sergeant Knight, Orange Company, 3rd Regiment, Silver Quadron
Skills: Longsword 64, Shield 68, Riding: Horse 50, Unarmed Combat 52, 58 tactics, 55 Leadership, 78 observation , 56 investigation, 30 Bodybuilding, 42 Teaching 30 Crossbow
Gnosis: 1 Sylir
Additional Info: Caelin is not a tall man, standing at 5,7, with blond hair and blue eyes. A lean build and a tendency to remain quiet give him a reputation for being a near-mute observer, which has caused more than one man or woman to make the mistake of underestimating him; he always makes sure to correct them when they step out of line.

Skilled at a number of things, but not quite mastering any of them, his abilities at instruction could be far greater if he put more effort into expanding them. For Caelin, however, tactics and physical pursuits come more easily, as is shown by his expertise with sword and shield; while he is competent as a rider, he finds fighting on foot to be more to his liking.

Never one to be loud or boisterous, Caelin is known for deliberately speaking quietly so that others are forced to quieten down to hear him, yet despite this he can stir the men he leads into fighting long and hard in battle. His quiet nature extends to combat, where he remains wholly focused on fighting his opponent, wearing them down steadily. Some say his silence is more terrifying than any war cry in Mizahar.

Alicia Frostfawn
ImageName: Alicia Frostfawn
Race: Vantha
DoB: 59th of Fall 488 A.V
PoB: Avanthal
Title: "Ally", "Sera Shorty"
Rank: Mage Knight, Yellow Company, 4th Regiment, Gold Quadron
Skills: 55 Shielding, 30 Reimancy (Water, Air), 30 Auristics, 30 Shortsword, 30 Riding:Horse
Gnosis: 1 Sylir, 1 Ice Reaving
Additional Info: At just 5 feet tall, it's easy to underestimate the short female mage-knight just by her appearance alone. Alicia's true abilities lies not in her physical strength, but her arcane prowess. She is a soft-spoken, quiet Vantha girl, but by no means a pushover. While she is easy to be flushed and embarrassed, Alicia knows when it's time to be jesting or serious. Still, it doesn't stop some of the knights to affectionaly call her "Sera Shorty" due to her height.

Born in Avanthal, Alicia journeyed to Syliras in search for her purpose in life. She didn't exactly dislike her peaceful life in Avanthal, but she felt like she could be part of something more... somewhere where her magical talents could be utilized to do justice. With Morwen's blessing, she set out from Avanthal. Long story short, she arrived in The Fortress City, admired the virtues and principles of the Syliran Knights and decided that joining the Order would be her purpose.

Corbus Stanlinsa
Image Name:Corbus Stanlinsa
Race: Human
DoB: 34 Spring, 479 AV
PoB: Syliras
Title: Sergeant Knight
Skills: 56 Bastard Sword, 60 Shield, 34 Leadership, 20 Teaching, 51 Riding: Horse, 46 Tactics, 52 Rhetoric, 49 Crossbow, 44 Persuasion, 53 Interrogation
Gnosis: 1 Sylir
Additional Info: Corbus Stanlinsa is a proud, if somewhat annoying knight. Standing at 5 feet, 10 inches and near 200 pounds, he's a rather stout individual, a product of the rigorous training all of the order undergo. As a member of the Stanlinsa family, he ascension into knighthood was all but expected, but it took a couple of patrons to help see him through. Not because he wasn't skilled enough, not because he wasn't progressing in a satisfactory manner, and not because of anything happening to these patrons.

No, it was simply because he would not stop talking. About anything and everything. For those who have had the pleasure (or displeasure) of meeting Corben, they've found him to have an opinion on about everything and he's unafraid to voice it. If you're doing good, expect praise. If you're doing wrong, well, prepare for him to tell you just why you petched up. Some would call him friendly, genuine, good hearted. Others would just say he's an arrogant vagik. Both would be right, depending on the day.

Despite his hit or miss personality, he has earned some amount of respect with his silver tongue and combat prowess. While he stands out in no individual area, his all around capabilities make him a formidable foe and ally alike. His 'call you out' leadership style rubs some people the wrong way, but he more than makes up for it with his decision to lead from the front, rather than sitting back and shouting out commands.

Percival Volimir
ImageName: Percival Volimir
Rank: Knight
Race: Human
DoB: Spring 16th, 481 AV
Gnosis: 1 Sylir
Skills: 43 Dagger , 42 Flux, 34 Shielding, 32 Horse Riding, 35 Philosophy, 54 Acrobatics, 44 Leadership

A pragmatic man first and a knight second, Percival Volimir entered the knights a Zeltiva refuge and came out a leader of men. Tired of the constant mixups and fights revolving around magic Percival fled to the bastion of law that is Syliras. There he found his salvation and it found his calling. Leading young mages off the darker paths magic has to offer being his specialty. He has a trove of stories of his upbringing in Zeltiva and the shady interactions that usually goes unnoticed. Needless to say that was how some of his scars and slight abnormalities occur. He is a gruff figure to those that first meet him but nevertheless a fine example of an honorable knight.

Always impressing upon his students to question the why of it all Percival wants to make both fighters and philosophers out of them. Never hesitant to dole out new venues of training or testing his squires in ways they have never been Percival's reputation is both respected and reproached by his fellow peers. Though there is no question of his pure intentions Percival is unrelenting in his drive to always asking more of his students. Whether by choice or by chance all applying mage squires beware. Volimir will have his way with you one way or another.

Tristan Whitevine
ImageTristan Whitevine
Race: Human, Vantha
Date of Birth: 31st of Summer, 462 AV
Place of Birth: Avanthal
Location: Mithryn Outpost, Syliran Fields

Title: Stewart Knight of the Grey Company, 4th Regiment, Gold Quadron

Skills: Leadership: (75pts), Longsword: (70pts), Shield: (65pts), Short Bow: (60pts), Riding(Horse): (55pts), Tactics: (50pts), Organization: (45pts), Politics: (40pts)

Gnosis: 1 Sylir

Bio- Tristan Whitevine is a model Knight of Syliras. He has served as the leader of the Mithryn Outpost for nearly two decades since ascending to the position after the retirement of his predecessor. He is quite happy to serve as the leader of the defenders of the Syliran Fields and has no aspirations for anything greater than what he does every day. Fond of stories and the occasional practical joke he is nevertheless a man who takes his job very seriously but he sees no problem with upholding the peace with a good natured attitude.

He was born in Whitevine Hold in Avanthal and while he loved his Hold and his people he was never quite satisfied living day in and day out amongst the frozen tundra of Morwen’s garden. When he was old enough he brokered passage to Wind Reach and from Wind Reach to Denval. From Denval he learned a little bit about the lands that lay to the East where it was warmer and filled with stories of Knights, dark gods, adventurers facing down terrible beasts and conquering the mysteries of the Suvan Sea. To him the cities that lay in the eastern regions of Mizahar seemed teeming with life and adventure. It wasn’t that the northern regions weren’t filled with their own wonders he simply wanted to be…different.

He found that “different” something when he arrived in Syliras at the age of twenty-two. He saw the Knights, he had heard tell of how they stood as fierce protectors of the people, upholds of Justice and defenders of Peace. He knew immediately that the life of Knight was the life that he wanted to live. He sought out the recruitment office and from then on the rest as they say is history. His life in the Knighthood hasn’t been easy. He has suffered the same trials as any knight but as he’s grown older he’s learned how to approach sticky situations a lot more wisely.

One such sticky situation led him to meet the woman who would become his wife. He had been hunting in the Bronze Wood doing his best to refine his skills in archery when he was attacked by a cougar. He barely managed to escape the encounter with his life. The attack left him with many a scar upon his upper and lower body and a healthy respect for the creatures that dwelt within the woods. He remembered managing to wade through the woods stumbling as he bled out collapsing until he passed unconscious. The next thing he knew he was waking up in a comfortable bed with a young woman staring down at him. The whole time he’d been unconscious though it seemed that a woman’s voice had been calling him. He recalled her telling him stories, he could hear her laughter, he could remember her whispers to him and when it had felt like the darkness of the dreams that haunted him during the worst of his bout were nearly crushing him her voice had led him back into the light.

Tristan had resolved to find this woman when he awoke and low and behold she ended up being right in front of him the moment he opened his eyes. As he spent more and more time with the woman whose name he learned was Cecelia he only grew to love her more. The two were eventually wed and he has only been the better for it with two sons to call his own and a loving family to come home to when the days are long.

Role In Syliras: Tristan is the Stewart Knight of the Grey Company of the Gold Quadron’s 4th Regiment. As such he is the representation of the knightly authority of Syliras in the Syliran Fields. He runs the Fields in cooperation with Farmer Driscoll and Stewart Knight Harris Frist in equal measure. He is a fair man who believes strongly in the tenants of the Knighthood and though he can seem a bit stern to look at he is a very good natured man that is compassionate and approachable.

With his love of stories, he to tell one of his peoples sacred stories to several young children. Aonwey was caught by elders of his tribe who judged him harshly. They found him guilty of sacrilege and every word of the sacred stories he told were found to be a destruction of the tribes heritage.

He no longer wished to stay in the desert, Aonwey eventually found himself in the city of Syliras. He missed being apart of something, a collective to call family. After he joined the squirehood where he originally trained to become a typical knight, his journey took a surprising twist as his Patron taught him the Arcane art of Flux shaping. Ever since, he delved further into the Arcane. Aonwey is a strong, outspoken, and passionately honest man. Aonwey immensely enjoys the art of storytelling which is a skill that tends to pass on to all those who he trains. Often enough found trading tall-tails with squires throughout their training.

He is tired of the Caste System in Wind Reach where higher caste could command the lower like slaves, Zulkar is a passionate man who believes in equality and justice, every man and woman should be treated by their actions and deeds, not by the caste in which they were born. Knowing he couldn't change his hometown's way of life, he left Wind Reach a long time ago, his journey lead him to Syliras, the Fortress City of Peace. His unwavering struggle to uphold his ideals brought the attention of Ivak, the God of Fire marked him as one of the Azenth. He's both a Syliran Knight and an Azenth.

Zulkar, like most Inarta, is a brash and out-spoken knight, willing to speak his thoughts without fear, but his statements are based on honorable knightly conduct. He has a stout body and the trademark fiery red hair of Inartan, the knight specializes in horseback riding, with his mighty Tiaden warhorse, Busekal, he rode into battle in the name of justice. As he's marked by Ivak, the Flame God, his body temperature is higher than the common men and he's also immune to fire.

Lilly Grant
ImageName: Lilly Grant
Race: Human
DoB: 17 Winter, 490 AV (Aged: 22)
PoB: Sunberth
Title: Mage-Squire
Skills: 17 Shielding, 27 Glyphing, 27 Reimancy, 31 Katana, 61 Persuasion, 34 Stealth, 35 Riding: Horse, 42 Observation, 25 Rhetoric, 47 Subterfuge, 30 Running, 32 Seduction
Gnosis: None
Additional Info: Lilly is a spirited young woman with a history clouded in shadows. Born in Sunberth, the chaos that made up the city seemed to encompass her personality. She's argumentative, questioning of authority, but extremely convincing when she speaks. Her every move and word are calculated. Cunning, manipulative, and confident, she has cast off the shackles of her past and in searching for her own niche in the world.

Her parents were neither originally of the anarchic city, rather finding themselves as victims of circumstance. Enslaved when travelling outside of their home city of Zeltiva, they found themselves birthing a daughter into the worst of situations. Although owned by an influential gang member of Sunberth, they never interacted with him, other than when he showed up to remove Lilly from their possession. They would never see her again.

During her 17th year Lilly managed to escape from Sunberth and her master, leaving her history, family, and secrets behind. She remains tight lipped, telling no one of her past life. The young woman arrived in Syliras in Spring of 509 AV and immediately found herself attracted to the knights and the forbidden fruit which was magic. In beautiful story of opposites attract, Lilly took a step towards moving past her upbringing, but it hasn't been without serious growing pains. She openly questions her superior's every action, and finds herself with plenty of extra early morning duties to 'correct' her behavior. There's a lot of doubt within the order of her suitability to join their ranks. With her attitude remaining completely unchanged from when she first joined, there is concern she won't be truly prepared despite being nearly ready to seek out her knighting quest.

Gnosis: None
Additional Info: Narick Lorgain comes for 3 generations of knights, the youngest of three and the last of his family to join the order he hopes to prove himself in the eyes of his family and become its head. He is a natural scout and he knows it, able to back up his words much to the annoyance of others. Anyone who interacts with the squire will be in for the headache of their life.

NPC Commoners

Yargul Mundercitcher
ImageName: Yargul Mundercitcher
Race: Human
DoB: Summer 39th, 475AV (38 Years Old)
PoB: Syliras
Title: Common Laborer
Skills: 46pts Longsword, 40pts Observation, 25pts Rhetoric, 20pts Brawling, 18pts Tactics
Gnosis: None
Additional Info: A laborer in moving heavy boxes, and goods, furniture, you name it. Though he may not look the part, he is quite nefarious when it comes to surprising the judgemental. Fat, and beer gutted, grizzly even, to the naked eye he would seem to be a gluttonous pig with no restraint, he guzzles ale like its water, and has an appetite the size of a mountain, his own body takes up the space of two men. But do not be fooled by this appearence, the man in his spare time, when not drinking, or sleeping, can be seen frequently in the Anthonius Fighter's Pit with his best mate Ceryl either sparring with eachother or giving those novices what for. The both of them reguarly taunt anyone with poor skill, hooting in the background at mistakes, or sniggering at the novices poor choice of reaction. No matter what their target does, there will always be laughter, deep, big bellied guffaws of it along with insults, jokes, and verbal jabs, and if said target decided to attack, they would quickly learn that was the worst mistake of their life.. For Yargul may not kill the attacker, he'll give them a good kick in the butt to show them a lesson, and then rub it in their face.... Harshly. Though, if faced with a knight, he can quickly turn into a coward.

Ceryl Tewel
ImageName:Ceryl Tewel
Race: Human
DoB: Fall 18th, 477AV (36 Years Old)
PoB: Syliras
Title: Common Laborer
Skills: 32pts Longsword, 12pts Tactics, 10pts Acrobatics, 15pts Rhetoric, 18pts Brawling
Gnosis: None
Additional Info: Ceryl is a laborer next to Yargul, the both of them are the best of drinking buddies, but the thing about Ceryl is that hes dumb. He follows after Yargul like a lackey everywheres when they both have the free time, trying to add on to his friend's jokes, and jabs, and not being entirely unique or smart about it. Tall and lanky, he is just a half a foot taller than his best mate, but takes up less space as well. Ceryl himself can be found with Yargul at the Anthonius Fighter's Pit more often than not, adding on to poor jokes, and making worse ones that aren't even funny. His voice is deep, loud, incredibly annoying, and longdrawn, with a toothy whistle to the ends of his words. If Yargul doesn't successfully taunt a novice into reacting, Ceryl will definitely be the breaking point, when bad jokes finally make the novice crack. Whether in laughter, or anger, is entirely up to the individual. Yet with his terrible rhetoric, and mediocre skill compared to Yargul's, there is a fighter's instinct underneath, if forced to, Ceryl can certainly handle himself in a fight when alone. He spars with Yargul in hopes of being better, why he took up an interest in fighting, is wholly due to Yargul's influence.

Cecil Schneider
Image
Name:Cecil Schneider
Race:Human
DoB: 479 A.V. 80th of winter
PoB: Syliras
Title:Laborer (Miner)
Skills:56 Brawling, 60 tactics, 80 observation , 40 investigation,30 Bodybuilding, 30 Boxing, 40 Weapon (short sword), 70 weapon (Knife), 40 teaching.
Gnosis:
Additional Info:
Cecil Schneider is a seemingly lowly laborer at Syliras’ mine, his body honed and chiseled from the constant swinging of his pick. But beneath that sleeveless and dirty red shirt he wore was a series of scars that told many tales; some mundane, some exciting. Cecil however never seems to talk about these scars nor does he seem to talk about his past. Some rumors circulate he was once a mercenary who had traveled far and wide, others say he was once a squire whose wander lust was too great and left before his training truly begun and the remainder say he once served with one of the dominate factions of Sunberth. None of these rumors are confirmed however, it could be that they are all lies….or that each contains an amount of truth. However no one has bothered asking him about his past, nor have they the bothered asking the knights to confirm if he ever was once a squire of their order, as such they simply remain rumors.

Cecil himself is a bored looking man, he has no interest in drinking, fighting or other such nonsense. He simply does whatever earns him enough coin for the next day, as such whenever he is not working at the mines he can be found offering his knowledge of battle at the Anthonius fighters pit for 15 Mizas a lesson. He can also be found at the Spinning coin, whither as a spectator placing a bet on a fight or as participant himself, again to secure whatever gets him through the season.

One thing’s for certain, he is a smart and dangerous man, capable of thinking one step ahead despite what the bored expression on his face tells you. If you think you have the upper hand, he has no qualms pulling the carpet under your feet and having a very long fall and if you ever manage the near impossible feat of angering him, he has no issues of ruining your life in whatever way the laws of Syliras will allow him to do. However those who have earned his respect or friendship will note he has a sense of honor and loyalty to the city that is his home, if a tad lacking in the whole personality department.

Silria
ImageName: Sil'ria
Race: Konti
DoB: 76th of Spring 465 A.V
PoB: Mura
Title: Lady Sil
Skills: 77 Medicine, 55 Herbalism, 51 Philtering, 40 Gardening, 35 Massage, 25 Philosophy, 26 Quarterstaff
Gnosis: 3 Rak'Keli
Konti Gift: Fracture Sensing, when Sil'ria physically touches someone, she has the ability to sense if said person has any damage to their bone structure. Broken bones would immediately be detected by her while small fractures may require further prodding. Sil used her gift to help her detect internal wounds, specifically the ones that involves bones.

Additional Info: One of the most prominent Konti healers in Syliras, Sil'ria often provide her healing services in the Soothing Waters Bathhouse. She is a Priest of Rak'keli, one could often find her praying in the Temple of All Gods, giving her daily worship to her Goddess. A pacifist at heart, she would never ever try to hurt another people unless in self-defense, and even then, she would heal the offender afterwards and let the knights handle them.

She has a close relationship with Ama the Radiant White Wolf. Should Sil ventured out to the Woods in search for medicinal herbs, Ama could often be seen accompanying the Konti, protecting her from the potential dangers of the wilderness.

If one wanted her healing expertise, one would just have to approach her and asked in kind, she would gladly offer her services. Due to her skills, she is popular among the Knights. Aspiring healers and doctors could approach her for medicine lessons.

Johnathan Reynolds
ImageName: Johnathan Reynolds
Race: Human
DoB: 64 Fall, 489 (Aged: 24)
PoB: Syliras
Title: Commoner
Skills: 52 Rapier, 40 Dagger, 32 Dual Wield, 77 Acrobatics, 47 Stealth, 22 Storytelling, 32 Rhetoric, 15 Swimming, 53 Juggling, 60 Busking, 42 Seduction, 34 Larceny, 42 Climbing, 30 Observation
Gnosis: None
Additional Info: Johnathan stands at 5 feet, 8 inches, with a slim and fit build. The son of a dock worker and a seamstress, he was counted among the many who knew not of the luxuries which life could hold. Meat with dinner meant it was a good day, but with minimal income and seven people cramped into the small apartments of Syliras, they had to make due with what was available that day.

With their home being so cramped, Johnathan made his way from the hole in the wall as often as he could, spending much of his time inviting himself aboard ships where he would walk across beams, climb masts, basically everything he was told not to do. With a little luck, he made it through his childhood without any catastrophic injury and picked up a certain curiosity in his ever action for his efforts.

One day while passing through the Syliras Theater Square with his mother, he witnessed acrobats performing for coin, doing simple maneuvers he'd learned while fooling around at the docks. At that point, he was hooked, realizing what he had available to him. He began putting on shows, but deciding that simply doing flips and cartwheels wouldn't be enough. He began setting up dangerous tests of his skill, crossing over high beams with nothing, or something worse than nothing, like spikes or fire, beneath him to break his fall. He would be the best performer Syliras had ever witnessed.

When the Djed Storms hit, the Square was shut down, and Johnathan disappeared from the public eye for nearly two seasons. Reappearing in Fall of 512 AV, he was the same entertainer, but he was clad in lavish clothing, things he'd never been able to afford prior to not working for half a year. Hundreds of different rumors spread about what he'd been doing during his time out of the spotlight. The most prominent was that he'd found a wealthy patron in the upper class, but Mr. Reynolds has neither confirmed nor denied anything. Some have claimed to see him with Isabelle Belmont, something which her father, Kale, refutes vigorously.

With the reopening of the Theater Square, Johnathan is performing again, but only once every ten days. Where he's at the rest of the time is a mystery, though it's not uncommon to find him at the White Swan enjoying the fine food or gambling at the Spinning Coin.

Yorick Grisham
Image Name: Yorick Grisham
Race: Human
DoB: 3rd of Summer, 478 AV (35)
PoB: Syliras
Title: Weaponsmith at Sultros Blades
Skills: 25 weaponsmithing, 10 brawling, 5 cooking, 5 busking, 3 singing, 2 leather working
Gnosis: none

Additional Info: Born and raised in the fortress city Yorick always had a gruff way about him. Managing his way through apprenticeships from a young age, never quite able to turn his hand at something long enough to excel. He did odd jobs here and there for a while, owing to his short attention span and constantly changing mind. As such he picked up a number of skills, including busking, cooking, leather working and a somewhat tenuous understanding of auristics, though it has done him no good.

Finally he found himself an apprenticeship as a weaponsmith, quickly asserting his talent and interest in the art. It has been his longest most profitable job and he finds his abilities put to good use at Sultros Blades. His specialty is axes, though he can make just about anything required of him. He has a solid work ethic but can be somewhat disorganized at times. Having found a niche for himself the man has settled down considerably from his impetuous youth. His work improves with each year despite having a slow start, unlike the other apprentices.

Yorick speaks with the drawl befitting of a man born of a working class family. He enjoys a good beer and a pretty girl at his side, often the first to rouse a crowd to sing. He's got an easy nature to him, not offended to be known as the lumbering oaf among his companions. He's a large man, topping in at 6'5" with bright blue eyes and a shock of red hair kept cropped at the base of his neck. His physique is one expected of a smith toiling day after day in the forge, strong forearms his most notable feature. He has a thundering laugh and a nearly constant twinkle in his eye. During his off-bells Yorick is most often found drinking and gambling, the Coin his preferred haunt. Though generally an affable drunk he has been known to become irritated and throw his weight around. Many a bar fight has seen him in the midst of the chaos though he has the uncanny ability to escape before punishment finds him. He has the habit of maintaining grudges.

Chuck Thorson
Image Name: Chuck Thorson
Race: Human
DoB: 15th Day, Winter 469AV
PoB: Syliras
Title: Tavern Regular at The Rearing Stallion
Skills: Weaponsmithing-58, Observation-65, Storytelling-45, Persuation-45, Intimidation-60, Brawling-76
Gnosis: None
Additional Info: Born and raised in Syliras, Chuck was dedicated to his family as well as his craft. His father, a gifted weaponsmith, took pride in teaching his only son the art of weapon making.

Chuck remained his fathers pupil until his death in the Fall of 488. Following his fathers death, the young weaponsmith continued strengthening his skill, becoming a well known and respected weapon maker in the city.

In the Spring of 490, at the age of 21, Chuck married his love, Elizabeth. A son, Collin, was born to the couple that same year and a daughter, Hazel was born two years later. Chuck and his family settled into the common way of life in the fortress city. In the beginning days of Summer 495, Elizabeth became pregnant with the couples third child and after a difficult pregnancy, their son Austin was born in the Spring of 496, but died 19 days later.

Over the next few seasons following their baby's death, Elizabeth's own health began to decline and in Winter 499, Chuck's beloved wife died, leaving Chuck and his children devastated. It wouldn't get any easier for the newly widowed weapon maker. In the Summer of 501, his nine year old daughter, Hazel, fell from a tree and to her death.

Chuck simply fell apart, often times seeking refuge from heartache in the bottom of an ale mug. His drinking became a nightly ritual and quickly his grief turned to transgressions, fighting anyone as soon as look at them. Eventually, the passing time and his limitless love for his first born son would see Chuck in better ways. He stopped drinking...as much, mended his relationship with his son and slowly put the pieces of his life back together.

Father and son thrived. In early 510 Collin married a young lady and soon after the couple moved away to begin their lives together. The nights grew lonely for the weaponsmith and, seeking companionship, he began frequenting the local tavern for his evening meals as well as his ale.

At present, the man walks into The Rearing Stallion at the same bell everyday and stumbles out the same time every night. He sits quietly at a corner table until he finishes his meal then he'll belly up to the bar for his countless mugs of ale. Any patron that visits more than once will know his name, but he will not remember theirs. Chuck knows no stranger. He calls all the men, "Buddy" and all the ladies, "Hun". Chuck is not easy to anger, but when he does there is no one that he will back down to.

He loves a good argument and never thinks he wrong. He will give you the shirt off his back...if he rips your off as he knocks you out. He loves the ladies and often times his hands roam where they ought not to, but will defend their honor relentlessly if he sees them mistreated. If you would like to meet Chuck and have a friend for the night, join him at the bar for an ale just don't insult him.

Rondo Vustakoff
Image
Name: Rondo Vustakoff
Race: Human
DoB: 90 Summer, 465 AV
PoB: Zeltiva
Title: Cook at The Rearing Stallion
Skills: 64 Cooking, 48 Food Preservation, 30 Brewing, 15 Teaching, 10 Intimidation
Gnosis: None
Additional Info:
Born in Zeltiva, Chef Rondo Vustakoff has embraced food his entire life. Both of his parents were unremarkable cooks within the city, but they taught their son the basics of their craft as best they could. Taking to it like a fly to honey, the inspired youth set about experimenting with various flavors from young age. Food was his life. With Zeltiva being heavily dependent on fish, dishes of the seafood variety are his specialty. Rondo grew weary of the limited food available with which to work with in Zeltiva and set off to Syliras. Once there, he was able to thrive in a new environment thanks to the readily available supplies.

Chef Vustakoff has worked at various taverns around Syliras, but finally settled for the Rearing Stallion, a place which he refers to as 'quaint.' The man takes absolute pride in his work and accepts no complaints about his cooking. To those who dislike the masterpieces he creates, Rondo says 'go eat at that overpriced white pigeon place, as I'm pretty sure that's what their special is made out of.' Rondo prides himself on being able to make large quantities of tasty food at reasonable price.

He's extremely short with his staff, often exploding into tirades about their ineptitude, despite any actual skill they may have. Those who have worked with the loud chef have realized that he is all bark, however, and any threats of being relieved of employment have never been followed up on. He reluctantly educates those who work in the tavern under him, but only because he refuses to accept subpar quality food being put out at a tavern he works at.

Viola Prichard-Wainscroft
Image
Name: Viola Prichard-Wainscroft
Race: Human
DoB: 3rd of Spring, 458 AV (aged 55)
PoB: Zeltiva
Title: Midwife
Skills: 60 Midwifery, 50 Medicine, 45 Rhetoric, 45 Herbalism, 40 Observation, 30 Writing, 30 Teaching, 30 Cooking, 15 Singing, 15 Embroidery, 10 Mathematics, 10 Calligraphy, 5 Astronomy
Gnosis: 1 Rak'keli
Additional Info: Viola was born and raised in Zeltiva, both parents professors at the University. Growing up among some of the most learned folk in Mizahar young Viola was given the opportunity to learn just about anything she wished. After much debate between the humanities and the sciences the young Zeltivan found herself leaning heavily toward medicine. Starting out with a general interest in medicine and healing Viola discovered a calling for midwifery.

Married at age 19 to Edmund Wainscroft, a veterinarian from Syliras, the young woman continued to study her practice under the tutelage of Marguerite Grey, a renowned midwife at the University. Shortly after the failed birth of their first child Viola was given the first mark of Rak'keli, present on her right temple, though she would never herself be able to bear children. Spending another fifteen years in Zeltiva to earn her degree and maintain her own practice Viola finally gave into her husband's desire to return to Syliras.

Now settled in the walled city the woman holds a prominent place at Soothing Waters as one of the most successful, experienced midwives. While midwifery is her forte it is not uncommon for her to treat non-pregnancy related ailments and is well known for her extensive knowledge on herbs - both medicinal and culinary. She will take patients in Soothing Waters as well as performing house calls.

Viola is a pleasant woman by nature, if not a bit frank. She has an assessing eye and quiet patience familiar among healers. She exudes tranquility and confidence. Now in her prime her voice is somewhat gravely, the corners of her blue eyes etched with crow's feet. For all her 5'5" frame she is an imposing woman, sturdily built with a presence that commands the room. Her smile is warm and genuine and she is slow to anger. She is calm under pressure and not prone to small talk, focusing on the task and performing her duties with precision.

Cecelia Whitevine
Image
Name: Cecelia Whitevine
Race: Human
Date of Birth: 78th of Spring, 465 AV
Place of Birth: Syliras
Current Location: Mithryn Outpost, Syliran Fields
Title: Biologist

Skills: Botany: (72pts), Gardening: (69pts), Agriculture: (63pts), Herbalism: (58pts) Philtering: (51pts), Research: (47pts)

Gnosis: None

Bio- Cecelia Whitevine is…odd. Not a person who knows her has an unkind thing to say about her. She is friendly. She is quirky. She is generally a very pleasant person to be around. Without fail though, everyone who interacts with her states she is simply odd. Social interaction has never been Mrs. Whitevine's strong suit. Her whole life she has either been too loud or too quiet. She either slouched too much or stood out far too often. While this caused her some distress during her adolescent and early adult years she has since settled into a comfortable place between delightfully weird and comically befuddled. She is the beloved wife of Stewart Knight Tristan Whitevine and a doting mother to two hearty and hale twin boys, David and Daniel both Knights of the Syliran Knighthood.

Cecelia was born to Richard and Margery Drysden. Her father was a farmer who worked the Syliran Fields and her mother was a midwife who tended to the families alongside the healers who frequented the Mithryn Outpost. Her childhood was as normal as one might expect for the daughter of a citizen of Syliras. She was not coddled but she was well loved and as she grew so did her love of the world around her. It was apparent from a very early age that Cecelia was a shy girl. People frightened her. She was often close mouthed around strangers, eyes cast downward typically toeing the dirt with her feet. When she was social she often said the wrong thing and either ended up the butt of some joke, the recipient of a thorough tongue lashing or generally just not making much sense to whomever she was communicating with.

Despite their efforts to help her grow out of this awkward development in her social interaction her parents never could. There was a point when they thought she might be mentally slow, which was not the case. Eventually they learned to accept this and Cecelia was happier because of it without being forced to interact with people she wanted little to do with. In time however Cecelia’s brilliance began to shine through in other ways. Her affinity toward the natural world became more evident when she began helping her mother with her tasks as a midwife. Cecelia caught on to herbal remedies very rapidly. She even found ways to mix different blends of herbs together to work quicker and assist with different ailments once she knew what herbs did what and how they worked.

The natural world made sense to Cecelia. Far more than people ever had or ever would. Her pattern of life continued for quite a while until she stumbled upon an injured huntsman in the Bronze Woods one day while out searching for new plant life. Being a kind hearted soul she couldn’t leave him and with the help of her mother and father she tended to his wounds. Over the course of his recovery Cecelia opened up to him talking to him while he was unconscious between dressing changes and cleanings.

When finally the huntsman awoke six days later after his fever broke and his injuries were well managed he revealed that he had heard every word she spoke to him and it was her voice that brought him back. He revealed that his name was Tristan and that he was a Squire of the Knighthood. The two fell in love and Cecelia’s quirkiness, her brilliant free spirit and love of nature only made Tristan fall more deeply in love with her. He is perhaps the only person alive whom she connects with on an intimate and complete level.

Role In Syliras- Despite her oddities, Cecelia Whitevine is peerless in Syliras when it comes to the art of botanical and agricultural refinement. She is a brilliant researcher and methodical observer of nature. Cecelia’s life is devoted to exploring avenues of stronger, healthier and more potent plant life than can be of use to the average citizen. Her most recent breakthroughs in agricultural and botanical cultivation have led her to explore the possibility of developing crops that can prosper in even the harshest climates.

Alessia Price
Image
Name: Alessia Price
Race: Human
DoB: 13 Winter 494 AV
PoB: Syliras
Title: Doctor's Assistant at the Soothing Waters
Skills: 50 Socialization, 30 Medicine, 25 Leadership, 15 Intelligence, 15 Persuasion, 15 Storytelling, 15 Investigation, 10 Rhetoric, 5 Massage, 5 Brawling
Gnosis: 1 Silakrov
Additional Info: Alessia carries herself with a natural charisma and a sort of charm that would probably get her into more trouble than it does if her brother weren't around to keep her in check. Nosy and growing up in Syliras, she's made fast friends with a good number of Syliras' youth throughout her childhood and into her adulthood. She knows odd little tidbits and snippets about a lot of people, but is more concerned about the local gossip and rumor mill than anything else. If something's happening in the city, there's a good chance she'll have heard about it.

Along with her twin brother, Alexus Price, Alessia grew up in the Maiden District and surrounded herself with a large group of friends. There was no doubt that she was the ringleader of a number of the children's antics, but she also had a penchant for talking them out of trouble. Of course, that would only buy them just enough time to go meddling somewhere else.

The twins' parents were doctors at the Soothing Waters, and thus Alessia and Alexus also took up the profession. Alessia, however, uses it as a means to gather more gossip and to meet up with new people -- nearly everyone in the city comes through the bath house eventually.

Though their personalities would seemingly clash, Alessia and Alexus share a special bond and one is rarely ever seen without the other. If they aren't at work, they can usually be spotted in any number of taverns, roaming Traveler's Row, or even occasionally perusing the Undeniable Interests. Besides that, having grown up in the city, they're liable to be found anywhere for any reason. Especially if there's something interesting going on.

Alexus Price
Image
Name: Alexus Price
Race: Human
DoB: 13 Winter 494 AV
PoB: Syliras
Title: Masseuse at the Soothing Waters
Skills: 45 Intelligence, 30 Massage, 25 Fortune Telling, 25 Acting, 25 Observation, 15 Investigation, 15 Unarmed Combat, 5 Seduction, 5 Medicine.
Gnosis: 1 Silakrov, 1 Lykata
Additional Info: Alexus is not exactly brooding, but he is certainly more withdrawn than the average young man. His social skills are lacking, but he is a good listener and does have a particular talent for gathering information -- a talent that his twin sister Alessia Price makes use of often.

While he himself doesn't have much of a way with people, he's a least practiced pretending that he is charming and confident, and therefore gets along okay in social situations. Alexus enjoys learning things simply for the sake of it, and can be rather tight-lipped about his knowledge.

He happens to know some number of young Sylirans from his childhood, but hasn't put much effort into retaining those friends into adulthood. However, it isn't too uncommon to see him out and about with a companion. Sometimes he'll provide a bit of entertainment with a palm-reading or other kind of fortune-telling, using his keen knowledge-gathering skills to enhance the reading, typically unbeknownst to the one being read.

The twins' parents were doctors at the Soothing Waters, and thus Alexus and Alessia also took up the profession. Though being a masseuse calls for a bit more personal interaction than he would like, Alexus usually uses it as a chance to probe for information -- people will reveal many things in their relaxed state.

Though their personalities would seemingly clash, Alexus and Alessia share a special bond and one is rarely ever seen without the other. If they aren't at work, they can usually be spotted in any number of taverns, roaming Traveler's Row, or even occasionally perusing the Undeniable Interests. Besides that, having grown up in the city, they're liable to be found anywhere for any reason. Especially if there's something interesting going on.

Ama
ImageName: Ama
Race: Kelvic (Dire Wolf)
DoB: 89th of Summer, 500 AV
PoB: Syliras
Title: Radiant White Wolf
Skills: 80 Wilderness Survival, 60 Hunting, 60 Unarmed Combat, 55 Tracking, 35 Running
Gnosis: 2 Luminance
Additional Info: Ama, a Dire White Wolf Kelvic, who made her home in The Bronze Woods since 504 AV. Born from a human father and black panther mother, Ama lived a good childhood with strict lessons of morality taught by her father and how to survive in the wild by her mother. "You may be an animal, but you're still a human inside. Never forget that." Her father's words etched deep in her mind and she intends to live up to his expectations to the fullest.

Ama disliked the confines and walls of the Fortress City so ever since she was little, Ama spent much of her time in the Bronze Woods just outside of Syliras; being one with nature in her wolf form. Her father did not worry about her because he knew her mother would protect her daughter from harm's way. At four years old, Ama requested to move away from Syliras and permanently live in the wilderness. Her father fully supported her decision and told her, "Make me proud"

Ama has since became a rare bastion of safety in the unforgiving wilderness. She guides explorers who are lost in the Woods, fend off animals who are targeting innocent travelers and people; including wild wolves, and also acts as companions for the patrolling knights should they need guidance or just someone to talk to. She's also not above making use of her hunting ability to help hunters from Syliras hunt their game. Also, she will gladly befriends any good-natured Kelvics that make the Bronze Woods their home, one just need to approach her and she will gladly offer you guidance and companionship.

Her continued dedication to the cause of good and defending the innocents attracted the attention of Goddess Priskil. One day, Ama saw a young woman surrounded by wolves and without hesitation, she fended off the wolves with her superior size and ability without actually killing them. The young woman was actually Priskil, she wanted to test how Ama would solve the situation and Ama opted the non-violence solution. As the result, Priskill deemed her worthy of her Gnosis and granted her the Mark of Luminance.

Her second mark was gained when she helped a group of knights tracking down some bandits who have been terrorizing merchants traveling the Kabrin Road. In the ensuing battle, she took an arrow to the chest that narrowly misses her heart, saving the life of a knight in the process. Seeing her selfless act and motivation, Priskill visited her again and granted her the second Mark of Luminance. She is known at the Radiant White Wolf by hunters and knights who often venture into the woods and sees a dire white wolf with comforting bright light shining around her body.

Her human form is that of an adult woman standing at 165 cm (5.4 feet) with snow white hair and deep brown eyes with a slightly reddish tint to them. She mostly uses her wolf form and only used her human form to interact with people traveling in the Woods.

Rat offers the service of investigation and information to 'interested parties'... for a price of course. The prices for his service are not set in stone, it can be mizas, magical items, gemstones, or anything that fancies Rat's curious pycon mind. Of course, the size of the items must be small as large items are impossible to carry with his small size.

His abilities at stealth, stalking, and information gathering are top-notch, fully exploiting his small size and shape, The Rat can maneuver through the nooks and crannies of the fortress city. Slipping through small holes and crevices to break into a location. He's truly an asset mainly for those scheming nobles who need a way to gather useful and private information about their rivals. His patrons also include 'dirty' businessmen who plan to exploit their opponents' business secret for their own ends.

Rat, being a Pycon, is a very curious and active individual. He's easy to befriend, easy to hate, and easy to forgive. If one possess enough persuasion skills, one could try to hire his service for free. He viewed that information should not be kept hidden and secrets should not exist.

NPC Patrons

Important Note: NPC Patrons are only to be used by the player they have been assigned to and or Syliras STs.

Stanton Alber
ImageName: Stanton Alber
Race: Human
Age: 25
DoB: 48th of Spring, 488 AV
PoB: Syliras
Title: Knight of the Blue Company, 1st Regiment, Silver Squadron
Skills: Weapon: Talon Sword 49, Flux 45, Shield 49, Riding 44, Unarmed Combat 40, Weapon: Crossbow 37
Gnosis: 1 Sylir, 1 Evantia
Additional Info: Born under the shadows of the Stormhold Castle, Stanton had spent most of his life wanting to be a knight. His family is considered very poor, thanks to his father's gambling and drinking. The young boy secretly watched the training of knights and squires, instead of playing like every other kid. A few of the pages and squires befriended Stanton, teaching the boy of various ways to fight. With his mother getting beaten at home, he spent most of his time training to become a Syliran Knight.

One day, his father hit his mother a bit too hard on the head, just a bit. Stanton could only watch and cry as his mother died, screaming atrocities at his father who was too shocked to do anything but stand. The neighbors heard the commotion and called for the knights, who arrested Stanton's father. The boy was only twelve and now, he was orphaned. A Knight, Leonard Halacre, saw a certain fire in the young boy's eyes and decided to take him as a squire. Readily, Stanton agreed.

Anyone in the order would have seen Stanton's utter devotion to the join the knighthood, training night and day, rarely taking any sort of break. Though occasionally, the squire could be seen playing music and singing. Because of his affinity for magic, Stanton had been considered quite the talented squire, acing his training with an advantage most of his fellow squires did not have.

Stanton had only been recently knighted and positioned to patrol the city walls. Among his fellow knights, he is known as a humorous and optimistic young man with an admirable dedication.

Alexander Valini
Image
Name: Alexander Valini
Race: Human
DoB: 77 Summer, 488 AV
PoB: Syliras
Title: Sergeant Knight
Gnosis: 1 Sylir
Skills: 60 Broadsword, 45 Shield, 40 Riding, 41 Light Crossbow, 35 Intimidation, 32 Leadership

Additional Info: Alexander is the son of wealthy businessman, Leo Valini. He was the result of an accidental pregnancy when Leo was just turning twenty. With Leo so focused on growing his business empire, he found himself with little time for a child he hadn't wanted in the first place, so when the boy was of an acceptable age, he approached the knights about sending the boy to be a page within their order.

That was the best thing which could have happened to the boy. He thrived in the controlled environment, and under the constant eye of his patron was groomed into a rather successful knight. Alexander completed his training and knighting quest by the time he was twenty, and at this point, there seems to be little holding him back. He's quick to take instruction and even quicker to take charge, though his blunt demeanor can rub some the wrong way.

He is a very no nonsense person with little time for people who try and beat around the bush or fluff their speech with nonsense. The law is black and white. There is good; there is evil. Wrong doers will be punished, and preferably by his hand. He is unrelenting in his pursuit for justice, and takes a particular interest in rooting out unsavory businessmen.

Iros Eylin
Image
Name: Iros/Eylin
Race: Akalak
DoB: 12 Fall, 435 AV
PoB: Riverfall
Title: Knight
Skills: 42 Weapon: Lakan, 36 Shield, 37 Riding, 31 Weapon: Spear, 46 Teaching, 50 Bodybuilding
Gnosis: 1 Sylir, 1 Evantia
Additional Info: His childhood was unremarkable as far as the Akalaks are concerned. He successfully completed his rite of trials and his rite of passage without any issue, but never really stood out. He spent his youth training and learning to fight just as any other of his kind would do. Life would drift along slowly, Iros working hard to defend Riverfall from threats, but still feeling like something was missing.

Everything changed when he met a Syliran Knight. The armor clad warrior was only a human, but he carried himself with an aura of confidence he'd never met in one of the puny races. The man spoke of him of the values and beliefs that the Knights held, and about the justice which they spread forth around the world. He made the decision then and there to join the Knights and he set off to Syliras to join the order. It was there he discovered bodybuilding.

Iros' growth through the knights was stalled by his new obsession. Instead of learning about how to operate tactically or furthering his combat skill, he only put as much effort in as it required to maintain. Instead, he chose to spend every free moment he could lifting heavier and heavier weights, increasing his already massive Akalak strength.

Those who deal with Iros will find him a zealot towards the improvement of one's strength. He's unyielding in his pursuit of his craft, and believes that no knight is worth anything if they don't have the power to back up their claims of authority. Iros is stern, but patient. Trying to talk with him about anything but training will get you nowhere as he'll do everything he can to steer the conversation towards his favored topic.

His dark brother, Eylin, is like minded in his quest for strength, but he's much less forgiving about those he views as weaklings. He puts prospective students through a rigorous test of might, and if they fail, he will no longer refer to them by their name, instead assigning them some sort of name which highlights their weakness. He's mean, border lining on cruel, but still has a knack for getting people to unlock the power their bodies hold.

Victor Tyrone
Image
Name:Victor Tyrone
Race: Human
DoB: 4 Summer 485AV
PoB: Syliras
Title: Knight
Skills: 40 Weapon: Spear, 35 Weapon: Longbow 30 Weapon: Tower Shield, 35 Riding, 40 Teaching, 35 Bodybuilding
Gnosis: 1 Sylir, 1 Ennervism

Additional Info: Victor led a rather uninteresting life until he came of age to join the knights. When he entered his squirehood, one weapon in particular caught his eye, his patron's spear. It was so finely crafted that he begged his patron to teach him with no avail. It was then that he took it upon himself to become skilled in it on his own. He began practicing with it every day until he was able to best many of his other squires with his combination of the tower shield and spear. It was then that his patron noticed his skill with the weapon and began to train him in using the weapon on horseback as well. Since then every time he has a chance he practices with his spear.

One day, though, amidst his training as a knight, he was assigned to go on patrol around the city. His squad encountered burglars trying to rob a local shopkeeper and trying to make off with the shopkeeper's wife. His squad intervened and ended up stopping and arresting the burglars however the leader resisted and broke free of his captor. Victor gave chase and nearly apprehended the burglar except for a sharp corner he turned and knocked some barrels over. When Victor turned the corner he was taken by surprise by the toppling barrels and they fell on top of him pinning him to the ground. The burglar stopped at this point and began to gloat at Victor, that not even the knights could catch him. It was at this point that Victor issued a plea to the Gods for strength and was answered. Suddenly he felt strength return to his body and he was able to lift the barrels with ease. At this point the burglar started running but with a quick toss Victor tripped the man with one of the barrels he was pinned with therefore ensuring that the burglars were all caught.

David Whitevine

David Whitevine
Race: Half-Vantha
D.O.B: 16th of Summer, 488 AV
P.O.B: Mithryn Outpost, Syliras
Title: Knight, Green Company, 4th Regiment, Gold Quadron

Skills: Wilderness Survival: (50pts), Talon Sword: (49pts), Dual Wield: (44pts), Shield: (38pts), Composite Shortbow: (35pts), Riding(Horse): (30pts), Stealth: (30pts)

Gnosis: 1 Sylir

Additional Info: David Whitevine is the elder twin of the Whitevine Twins. Born only a few minutes earlier than his intrepid brother he is a staunch defender of the Syliran Fields. He took strongly after his father being the more social of the twin brothers. He has a good head on his shoulders and puts that good head to use while out patrolling the Fields. As a Knight under the command of Harris Frist he takes his job very seriously.

To David the duty in protecting the Syliras Fields is equivalent to protecting the very life-blood of Syliras. Without the Fields the city would starve and the Order would falter. He is swift to eliminate any perceived threat to the safety of the Mithryn Outpost and the Fields themselves. Fond of pipeweed, particularly Cyphrian Tobacco, when not on duty he can usually be found propped up against a post observing the terrain pensively smoking his pipe.

He is an excellent teacher and a pleasant companion. Many members of his wing owe him their lives as he is ready and able to throw himself to the defense of those in his care. He has the scars to prove it. Family is very important to David. He strives to make a Squire in his charge feel as if they are part of a family giving them direction and purpose. Of the two brothers he can be seen as the more humorous of the duo. He will often play all manner of pranks in order to catch a squire unawares. Beneath it all though there is usually a lesson to be learned…usually.

Daniel Whitevine
Image

Daniel Whitevine
Race: Half-Vantha
D.O.B: 16th of Summer, 488 AV
P.O.B: Mithryn Outpost, Syliras
Title: Knight, Green Company, 4th Regiment, Gold Quadron

Skills: Wilderness Survival: (50pts), Composite Longbow: (48pts), Acrobatics: (43pts), Longsword: (40pts), Shield: (39pts), Stealth: (35pts), Riding(Horse): (30pts)

Gnosis: 1 Sylir

Additional Info: Daniel is the younger of the Whitevine Twins. Like his brother he takes after his father more so than his mother in terms of personality. He joined the Knighthood not because it was expected of him but because he couldn’t see himself doing anything else with the rest of his life. Syliras represents Hope to Daniel. In a world that will just as easily rend the careless to shreds he strongly believes that the Knights, Syliras and all that they uphold are the Light that stand firm against the encroaching darkness.

He knows firsthand how dangerous Mizahar’s wilderness is. The most prominent thing everyone notices about Daniel upon first meeting him are the claw marks scarring the left side of his face. The marks were the result of a bad brush with a mountain lion not far from the base of the Cobalt Mountains. He was saved by his brother and his father before being horribly killed. The experience has left him with a healthy respect for the wild lands outside the safety of the walls.

He is a bit more quiet than his brother but no less friendly. He takes good care of his comrades and of the Squires in his charge. He believes an education in all things Knightly is one of the highest callings a person can answer in their life and while he is a bit more straightforward in his teaching methods than his twin brother he is no less effective.

PoB: Syliras
Title: Knight
Skills: 45 Weapon: Long sword, 34 Weapon: Shortbow 30 Weapon: Steel Shield, 33 Riding
Gnosis: 1 Sylir

Additional Info:Teodric would be known as an average Knight, but that isn't a bad thing. Teodric grew up in the city in the from a smaller Knight family. Only his uncle and two cousins joined the Order, which left him with plenty of options since it wasn't expected of him. But Teodric was a fighter and had a fire in him that led him to speak out against things that he thought were wrong.

This fire, sometimes got him into trouble, but his uncle stepped in and taught him to redirect that energy into something useful. It was a small change for him, but Teodric was no stranger to the Knighthood and with hard work he became a full Knight in a matter of seasons.

Alvin John
Image

Name: Ser Alvin John
Race: Human
Age: 30
DoB: 35th of Winter, 483AV
PoB: Syliras
Title: Knight of Blue Company, 2nd Regiment, Silver Squadron
Gnosis: 2 Sylir
Skills: Riding(Horse) 43, Sword Bastard 41, Shortbow 36, Shield 42, Brawling 45, Flux 31, Leadership 30

He is often looking at the sky, and has a love for nature. Alvin is known to be very well mannered. He's not found of rudeness, and he dislikes when people are overconfident in themselves. He is a very cheery fellow, and he isn't one to turn down a chance to have fun. Alvin had a sister named Aria whom is a few years younger than him, but she passed away on her 16th birthday, and is one of the reasons Alvin is now a knight. Aria had always told Alvin he would make a great knight, so as a goal he set out to become on for her, and he remains a loyal Knight of the order.

Ranqor Grayne
Image

Name: Ranqor Grayne
Race: Human
DoB: Spring 47, 474
PoB: Syliras
Title: Knight
Skills: Rapier: 38, Buckler: 34, Riding: 35, Crossbow: 29, Mathematics: 49, Teaching: 47
Gnosis: 1 Sylir
Additional Info: Ranqor has had an interesting career as a Knight. While capable, he's not the strongest of fighters in the ranks, nor does he hold a high rank. What he's good at is teaching Squires, particularly in the arts of the mind, rather than of the body. He's quite efficient in his methods, likely attributed to his rare knowledge in the field of mathematics. Every squire he's had has come out much smarter, especially in their weakest areas. He's often asked to help teach others' squires, to help round them out.

He was born and raised in Syliras, the son of a book merchant and barmaid. He'd spent most of his youth reading, learning, soaking up knowledge. One day his father left in an effort to go to the University in Zeltiva, and never returned. His mother, unsure of how to raise the boy, managed to get him brought into the Knighthood as a Page. Even in the ranks, the boy excelled at his studies, but merely got by with his combatant skills. He still won many training exercises, but because he fought smarter, not harder.

He does a lot of the behind the scenes work for the Knights. He helps in the business aspects, bookkeeping, and of course, tutoring and raising squires. He's more likely to be found with a quill in hand rather than a sword. He's been nicknamed Featherblade by some, a rumor spurred out of a fight in a bar where he defeated an opponent with single stab of his quill to the assailant's eye.

He is good natured and good-willed, loving nothing more than a happy spirit and willingness to learn. He doesn't take no for an answer, and can be a very stubborn Knight when he feels it necessary. When angered by others, he will often walk away or disappear to break things. Ser Erik never turns down a challenge, mainly because he loves over coming them. Ser Erik is an excellent knight, with a bright outlook on the world. He loves to train, often pushing others pass there physical limit before he gives them a break.

Mora
Image
Name: Mora
Race: Chaktawe
DoB: 42th Day of Spring, 486 AV.
PoB: The Burning Lands, Eyktol.
Title: Knight, Green Company
Skills: Wilderness Survival: 55, Shortbow: 43, Weapon (Short Sword): 31, Shield: 35, Riding: 38, Stealth: 40, Herbalism: 48
Gnosis: 1 Sylir, 1 Phylonura

Additional Info: Mora is sometimes called the Desert Witch, but this is a misconception she seldom bothers to correct. It is true, that the nomad once native to Eyktol knows much of the burning lands, and how to survive beneath Syna's searing love. But, through extensive traveling and Caiyha's summons to Sylira, the Chaktawe began to understand life outside of the desert. She learned so much, in fact, that she has made her home in the lands beyond Syliras's city walls and accepted the forests as her first biome to look after.

It didn't take long for the knights to recognize Mora's somewhat rare and invaluable skills. The Chaktawe was always happy to help travelers and knights who became lost or encountered trouble in the woods, so long as they posed no threat to the balance that existed for all life that thrived upon the land. Stories of her wisdom, devotion, and kindness travelled fast, until at last an offer was made for her to join the knighthood.

When she first received their proposal, Mora retreated into the wilderness for three days to search for an answer. Upon returning, she accepted, but on the condition that she not be forced to live within closed quarters, that she be allowed always to remain in contact with the wild lands, and that she would receive aid in defense of her biome if it became endangered. In exchange, she lent some of her vast knowledge of plantlife to the villagers of Mithryn, led a few scouting parties now and then, and kept the knights informed of various comings and goings within the forest.

To this day, she is still a bit reclusive, often preferring wildlife to humans. Rumors of witchcraft have long since been disproved, as it is common knowledge to those who care to know that she is favored by the benevolent goddess Caiyha. And, once in a while, Mora agrees to take on a squire to train, should he or she prove able to keep up with the nimble footed Chaktawe and her mischievous, Fat Dormouse guardian.

Logan Meyers

Name: Logan Meyers
Race: Human
DoB: 57th of Fall, 471 AV
PoB: Zeltiva
Title: Knight
Skills: 35 Weapon: Shield, 38 Riding: Horse, 31 Weapon: Longsword, 30 Weapon: Shortbow, 38 Tactics, 48 Investigation, 41 Teaching.
Gnosis: 1 Sylir, 1 Lykata
Additional Info:

Logan is a kind and noble knight, who often has a distant look in his eyes from being lost in thought. He is careful and considerate, and is more than willing to spill his wealth of knowledge to anyone who asks, as long as the question does not stray into the territory of his troubled past.

Logan was born to a small family in Zeltiva, though his birth name was not Logan. His life was simple for most of his childhood, receiving an education from the academy in Zeltiva for a number of years. He emerged from the academy with the aspirations of digging up the many secrets criminals and politicians had kept. His interest in the past had eventually attracted the attention of Eyris, Goddess of Wisdom. He was marked with Lykata, and from that point on his life had changed.

He had learned of only a few of the many terrors committed by certain Zeltivan politicians before he was framed for a number of crimes. Facing execution, he learned of the charges before the sentence was carried out and fled from Zeltiva to Syliras, where he became a squire under the guise of a new name, Logan Minarti.

He learned quickly, able to use Lykata effectively as a study tool and absorb a wealth of knowledge. Anything he could not do, he learned. It was not until his knighting ceremony that Logan faced his past once more. He had resolved to speak the truth in front of the great tree, and spoke of his greatest secrets and regrets. The Windoak then deigned him falsely accused of the accusations made against him in Zeltiva. From that day forth he had become a Syliran Knight.

Lanning Shelton
Image
Name: Ser Lanning Shelton
Race: Human
DoB: Spring 53, 484
PoB: Syliras
Title: Knight
Skills: Longsword (36), Buckler (33), Shortbow (35), Riding (32), Yoga (48), Meditation (45), Teaching (42)
Gnosis: 1 Sylir
Additional Info: Ser Lanning Shelton appears to be an average Knight. He doesn't hold any special ranking or have any extra standing within the Knights. He's typically stationed near the front gates of Syliras on guard duty. He never takes more than one squire at a time. On the surface, he doesn't appear to be much more than a standard Knight.

But he does have one particularity, more of a specialty in actuality, that makes him stand out. He specializes in a physical art, as he calls it, known as yoga. He claims it keeps him strong, fit, flexible, and relaxed. When not on duty, he can often be found around the city practicing his poses and stretches, and is always willing to take on students. The only thing he insists upon is that when under his tutelage, that the students remain silent and listen only to his instruction.

Ser Lanning is often quiet and reserved, and he claims that is due to his constant meditation. He says it clears his mind, helps him make proper decisions. While well trained in combat as most Knights are, he rarely ever practices. He keeps to his duties, his training of students, and has no real desire to move up in the world. He's come to peace with his place, and loves it.
