2 Winter 513

Millicent's finger slowly traced over the massage table. The fabric bunched above her finger and slide smoothly underneath. She circled the small room slowly. At the end of the table, her eyes lingered on a well done charcoal drawing of a nude woman. Millicent had no experience with art, but she could easily appreciate the attention give making the muscles seem real. Other than the picture though the room seemed bear, almost like a repurposed store room.

The soft fabric felt so good under her hand and before she knew it she was staring at the ceiling. She had no intended to lay down, but battle to resist was lost before it had truly begun. The mattress conformed slightly to her body, but then held her up firmly. I wish I could sleep here Millicent said her mouth curving upwards in a smile.

However she felt a chill come over her body as she stayed there. The gray stone ceiling and walls seemed to suck the heat out of the room. The longer she laid there the more it felt like the walls where closing in on her. Maybe I should leave Syliras for a while. She thought, the stone seeming more confining than ever before in her life. Her mind drifted back to the conversation she had with that scarred man who's name she could not recall. Her whole body gave a shudder and she felt goosebumps on her arms. With a shake of her head, she banished him form her mind.

Alright enough laying down. She told herself swinging her legs over the side of the table. Millicent heard the hiss and splash of water before a burning sensation rushing though her leg. “Aww” She hissed her her squinting her eyes shut and forcing back the pain. “Oh bother” She grumbled fighting back stronger curses.

After the shock had faded, her attention went immediately to the glass bottle. Her hands trembled as she picked it up threatening to drop it again. If it had broken, she did not know what she would do. I would probably be fired Her mind jumped to the worse conclusion. Carefully she turned the bottle over hands, her heart skipping a beat at every small turn. Her sigh seemed to echo around the room, as she returned the bottle to the shelf.

“Now what to do about this?” She wondered aloud putting her hand on her hips. Her eyes winced slightly as her leg throbbed. Ignoring that, she went and got some towels from outside and wiped up the water. She whole body felt oddly tense and she had to remind herself how to breath, “Ok, well my I still have a little time before my first client.” Millicent said sitting on the edge of the table.

Looking down at her leg, she examined the damage. It is fine She told herself looked at a large red area that was being to swell up. Luckily her uniform was not hurt. The pair of shorts given to her seemed fairly resilient to waters. Looking at the burn made her sigh, I would not want the client to see this She reasoned as she took a linen cloth and wrapped a cloth around it. She winced and almost pulled away when the fabric touched her leg.

[Soothing Waters] Her First Clients (Rodistair)

Postby Rodistair on December 10th, 2013, 8:39 pm

Rodistair was awake, earlier than usual, he was in pain. His nose, his side, his leg, his entire body was sore- being a knight takes a big toll on a person, body and soul. He stared up at the bunk above him, lost in thought, trying to make sense of what had happened to him in the dark. The wounds had been taken care off, just minor bandaging and a couple stitches, but it caused a lot of stiffness. He raised his hand, and moved his fingers, it felt good to move them, to be in control of at least this. He stood, his patron had told him to spend the day healing- he must have been worried to let the squire take a day off, that was almost unheard of.

He wondered what he would do, he almost felt lost without a plan for the day- a long training regimen. He donned his clothes, simple wool clothes, and his cloak. He didn’t even check the hearth before he left the room, he still felt dirty, and there was only one place to go to if you needed a bath. He wandered slowly through the city, taking in the sights as the city slowly shook itself awake in the frigid winter morning. It took him almost a bell to reach the third tier, and another half bell to reach the double doors of the Soothing Waters.

He didn’t come here often, maybe once every few days to bathe. But, today as he bathed, the stiffness didn’t wash away, the pain in his heart didn’t come out. He furrowed his brow, and he decided to try something different. He was handed a towel and pointed to a room in the bowels of the facility for a massage. As he walked into the room, he felt like he had made a mistake, “Hello…” he mumbled, maybe he should leave, he faltered, before finally stepping all the way to the room.

Millicent turned slowly as she thought she had heard someone. Turning to see a young boy, she jumped out of her seat. Her heart pounded in her throat and she made meep sound. He is awful early she thought. she thought allowing her heart to drop back down to her chest. Her eyes lingered on him for a second wondering if he was really her client.

He seemed to young to be the client, that they said was coming. However she did notice all the bandages and how he was holding himself rather stiffly. For being so young, she thought that it was odd his body was so scarred. For a brief second she thought of the scarred man again. Then blood rushed to her cheeks as she realized how rude she was beings.

“Alight, I am Millicent, and I will be your masseuse, “ She told him cheerfully, but mentally cringing. Her eyes winced slightly at how the words sounded to her. She turned away form him and walked toward the back of the room. Her eyes focus on the nude paintings. “You just lay down right here, and I will see what I can do for you.” She said biting her lip and focusing on keeping herself form turning red.

Please don't let that be as awkward as it sounded. She begged in her mind and turn back around to face the boy. Pushing her feelings aside, she began to examine him thoroughly. She was not good enough yet to tell by looking what all needed to be done. She would have to feel out what was wrong when the boy laid down.

[Soothing Waters] Her First Clients (Rodistair)

Rodistair’s eyes slowly traced over the room, and the small girl that had made the sound. He smiled sadly, and studied the austere room. The simple table, the various tools of her trade, and the single drawing in the room. He shivered slightly, he felt suddenly cold, then he shook his head, before nodding at the girl’s instructions. He climbed onto the table, and it seemed to sink briefly, adjusting to the weight of the boy.

He nodded at her in greeting, “Nice to meet you Millicent. I’m Rodistair.” He called back to her quietly, before laying down on the table on his stomach. His eyes were drawn to the picture hanging in the Spartan room. It was well done, and he sometimes wished he could do something like that. He smirked at himself, a knight who drew? There were probably crazier things out there. “How does this work? I’ve never done this before.” He mumbled barely audible over the sound of the Soothing Waters.

”It is good to meet you too Rodistair.” Millicent moved back to the table and took a deep breath. Her hands trembled slightly, and she was grateful that he would not see her. What am I doing here? Millicent wonder staring down and accidentally gulping. “You just need to sit back and enjoy.” She said her voice steady, though may have betrayed her nervousness.

Alright lets go she thought as she lowered her hands down to the boy's back. A cold hand travels from just below his neck to the small of his back. Frowning, she noted the muscles here more knots and tense that she thought they should be. Gently, she grabbed his arm and began to guide it in a circle to loosen the muscle.

“So how did you manage to get your muscles so wound up?” Millicent ask, her hand traveling to his shoulder and beginning to massage the tissue there. Her kneaded the flesh, trying to each the deep tissue. Slowly she worked her away along his upper back relaxing the muscles as she went.

The young squire thought back on recent events, fights, possessions, more fights. Where do you even begin? He had done as much as he could to protect the city, to make himself stronger, but he always came up short. He could feel the dull throb of the wounds he had received just days before. His nose hurt from a hard punch, his side, and foot where wounded by daggers the previous night. His fresh wounds made an interesting collage on the boy, and he thought that he wouldn’t trade if for anything else in the world.

“I’m a squire.” He answered, quietly. He enjoyed what he had to do, and while he spent this time to heal, he couldn’t rest. There was so much to be done. He couldn’t sit idly by… well maybe it could wait for a few bells. He breathed in the warm, humid air of the bathhouse, it was an interesting feeling- getting a massage. He did his best to relax, and his eyes were drawn back to the charcoal portrait in the room. He thought about the work that had went into the picture, the detail in every lock of hair, how it seemed to tumble down her back like a waterfall. He wondered if that was easy to do, maybe he could pick up a piece of charcoal, and draw? He wouldn’t draw nude women, thought he could draw the city, the knights, and even the people in the city. A smile spread over his face slowly. He would try his lot at drawing soon.

“Oh” Millicent raised an eyebrow in surprise and then shrugged. That would explain why he is beat up . She paused for a second and gave a small gulp as she realized she had forgotten something important. Stepping away from Rodistair, moved to the shelf near the table and pulled down a thick towel. She draped it over his lower body like a blanket.

“So why did you decide to become try and become a knight?” Millicent ask him looking down, and wondered how to proceed. She picked up the bottled of warm oil, and poured some on to her hands. Her hands rested firmly on his shoulders, and the pushed down slowly pulling the skin tight and warming it under her touch. Her hands came to rest just before the edge of the towel. Gently they slide to his sides and traced his body upward.

Slowly her hands came back to his shoulders to repeat the move. Her body leaned over his back almost touching it, her faced burned slightly, as she brought her hands back up. Her hand repeated the motion again. Bringing her hands back to the shoulder, she traced it slowly down his back. Her other hand followed after creating a circular pattern with her moves. She continued this motion to give herself time to get comfortable.

When she felt relaxed again, she moved to his side, and placed her forearm on the small of his back. Slowly she adjust her arms position till it found the spinous-rectus muscle. Carefully she increased the pressure, knowing if she increased to quickly she would cause pain. Reaching a slightly to light pressure, she began to shake her arm ever so slightly.
