This lazy agricultural settlement rests on the swampy shores of the Middle Suvan at the delta of The Kenash River. The River's slow moving bayou waters have bred a different sort of people - rugged, cultured, and somewhat violent. Sprawling plantations of tobacco and cotton grow on the outskirts of the swamp in the rich Cyphrus soils, while the city itself curls around the bayou and spawns decadence and sins of all sorts. Life is slower in Kenash, but the lack of pace is made up for in the excesses of food and flesh in a city where drinking, debauchery, gambling, slavery, and overbearing plantation families dominate the landscape.

ImageA deceptively simple stone facade houses Odsgrace, the fortune telling venture owned by Enhidde Felliger. This freeborn traveller has made surprisingly little concession to the Dynasty of Kenash. Her business sits on the outskirts of the west bank, a location more frequented by freeborn of little to no standing within the city. Still, this does not dissuade the wealthy Kenasherns from frequenting her establishment.

Though many see her services as nothing more than a novelty, one cannot help but suffer a moment's pause upon entering the building. Few windows offer respite from the mysterious shadows within; indeed, most of the light is achieved through use of scented candles, even during the bright light of midday. The lack of ventilation ensures that scented smoke hangs heavily in the air at all times. Enhidde seems immune to its effects, but those seeking readings often resort to shallow breaths and straining eyes for the duration of their experience.

ImageOnce committed to her care, patrons are ushered past walls hung strategically with tapestries; the effect is maze-like, and gives one the impression that the room is much larger than it seems. Walking the path between draping fabrics, clients are treated to visions of glory, horror, great sorrow and death, all bathed in flickering shadows and fickle candlelight. Little evidence of comforting scenery is on display, for Enhidde believes that such things lessen the impact of her messages - and, after all, a disconcerted mind is more open to her intrusive version of the truth.

In her inner sanctum, the place where she performs her tellings, Enhidde has spared no expense. Seats laden with luxurious pillows, ample arm rests, and plush fabric upholstery reward the intrepid patron, and the decorations become almost plain. Nothing displeasing to the eye is found, nothing that will distract focus from Enhidde as she wields her words and grants her visitor the fortune they have come seeking.

Title: Fortune Teller, Odsgrace
Skills: Fortune Telling - 68 | Rhetoric - 51 | Observation - 32 | Philtering - 29 | Intelligence - 26 | Seduction - 18 | Weapon: Knife, Wrist - 16
Gnosis: Chaon, L2
Additional Info: Twice marked by Rhysol, Enhidde is a compelling woman. Though not conventionally beautiful, there is an air about her that nearly everyone - men and women alike - is drawn to. Scarves wrap her head, and metal coins and bells drip from her skirts. Eyes filled with dark mystery command attention; the effect is such that one often fails to immediately notice the ghostly cast of her left eye. It might be assumed that she suffers from impaired vision, but the milky trace is merely a result of Rhysol's touch, and his gnosis: Chaon.

Enhidde is not evil - ask her, she'll tell you. It is simply that she sees much can be gained by encouraging uncertainty, fear, and paranoia in others. Her work as a fortune teller affords her every opportunity to spread doubt and plant the seeds of chaos in citizens at every level of whichever city she finds herself in.

Services
Fortune telling services are available to all, by appointment. Rather than set a value on her services, Enhidde's peculiar habit is to ask the patron to pay what the reading is worth to them. If the offered payment is deemed insufficient, the reading often takes on a more direct influence in the client's life.

As a token of respect for her skills, however, it is recommended that all readings are worth no less than 3 GM.
