The quarters were still going to take some getting used to. The summoner had been on the island of the dead for eight days now, and still hadn't had single night of good rest. Rolling off the mat, Felicia propped herself up, and eventually standing. It only took a moment for the girl to go through what was now her morning routine, granted it was simply waking up and getting dressed. Often times when traveling, Fel wouldn't have to get up early. This was great for the girl, since she was definitely not a morning person, and everyone else was still shopping and packing in cities before they finally left around mid day, giving Felicia plenty of time to wake up and go about her business as she pleased. The island was much different, and though Felicia didn't know a bunch about it, the locations of various places on the island were starting to become familiar.
Today the summoner would be heading towards the training grounds, specifically the prairie. This was the first place she had summoned after her arrival on the island. Practicing with what was her only 'friend' so far on the island, who had made her a dais the first time for easy drawing. It just so happened however, that this friend, was absolutely insane. The past days had been very stressful, and even more eye opening. Sahova was a place that Felicia wasn't quite sure she belonged, but had gotten sucked into anyway. There was much that needed to be done in preperation for the upcoming days, with Judgement not far off. Practice was necessary if the summoner was going to b impressing anyone with her circles. Though her circles were elaborate and carefully drawn, a secondary magic style was going to be required in order to impress those who observed her. Glyphing was the chosen magic to practice, and it was being taught to her by the same mage who first brought her to the prairie.
Going to the prairie alone was much more dangerous, but it also meant that Felicia could summon to whatever world she wanted. That meant Fyrden, which was always this summoners world of choice, would be getting a portal opened to it. Conversations with these other worldly creatures were never boring, as each one had their own reasons as to why Felicia should set them free. Of course there was no way the young summoner was going to actually allow any creatures to roam free, and she rarely even allowed the creatures out of the circle, never loosening the leash at all. The creatures had interesting things to say anyway. They wouldn't simply give up once told no, they would try to manipulate Fel into letting them out, but she already had in her mind that nothing they said could be trusted. Perhaps the summoner should be taking this stance towards the other inhabitants of Sahova.
After leaving the room, it took Felicia only a few steps before something caught her eye. Another woman, who seemed just a bit shorter than herself and red hair not too unlike her own. The more interesting thing, what had actually caught the summoners eyes, was the cat that was following the young looking girl around. It's body was composed of a purple smoke, which gave away to the summoner that the creature was actually an Avavali. This sparked many questions in Felicia's mind, the most prominent asking where she had gotten the familiar. If it had been someone on this island to give it, Fel needed to find out who it was.
Approaching the younger girl, Felicia offered her hand right away saying "Hello there. I'm Felicia, a summoner on the island. If you don't mind, I'd have a few questions to ask you about your Avavali." Saying this, the summoner looked down towards the cat when talking about it. She knew the creatures to be rather whimsical, and not at all serious. The real questions weren't so much about the Avavali itself, but more as to where it came from, who summoned it, and why it was chosen as this girls familiar. They weren't particularly helpful, Felicia could only really see them being used as company, rather than to help with experiments. Many familiars had trouble helping though, almost all of them had a one track mind, getting free. Felicia knew this from her countless summoning sessions, where every creature had that same goal. Fel hadn't heard of many success stories with familiars, but some did occur when the two bonded particularly well. Truthfully, the summoner desperately wanted her own familiar, which was the reason she was prepared to question this new met girl about her own.
