His answer made Fade smile thinly she answered “Of course there’s a reason! Or why would I ask a similar question in the first place?” She took a step forward of the steps and onto the ground, she did this slowly, he had dared her to move and she had.

“But I also think carrying a sword around is a good way to pick fights” She said simply her hand going to her bag just to see his reaction. “Best way really” She continued in a faraway voice not really knowing what to say or do next: even if he didn’t know how to handle the sword he could probably beat her bloody but she was used to that.
She fumbled suspiciously in her bag watching him, her hand brushed against her dagger a few times but she wasn’t so foolish as to brandish it.

Going over the edge [Rhuryc]

What a psychopath. He could just call the guard. He should just call the guard. Grumbling, Rhuryc hooked both thumbs through the front of his belt and gave the girl a queer look, both confused and annoyed. The latter was no obvious. His shoulders were tense and his stance was just within reach of violence, his knees bet and feet poised to bolt at any moment. Anger was such a bastardized emotion. He knew acting on impulse was foolish - and this girl was no threat - so with a long, drawn out side, he took to words once again. Violence was the more efficient route.

"Only a fool brandishes a blade without suitable reason. I don't know what you're after, girl," He almost spat the last word, his patience wearing thin. "But baiting a armed opponent without proper weapons yourself is suicidal. I have no idea plagues your mind, but if you don't mind I'd very much like to be on my way."

His brow narrowed at the movement. She was up to something. Rhuryc kept his calm but he in no way intended to turn his back. What little trust they shared had vanished long ago.

Fade's smile vanished "You can go you can go, sorry its just that I like talking with people, you would too if you were me"

Fade started laughing: he had said "what are you after" she chuckled and turned away from him and sat down on the ground hugging her knees with her arms. She was sorry she had baited him like that but...but she rejoiced in every emotion she inspired in people,it was good to have a will of her own.

Bipolar, maybe. Rhuryc was confused. What was a casual greeting turned into a threatening stand off which turned into a spiteful farewell? Okay. Sure. Bemused, the man removed his hands from his belt. There was no need to draw, now, or was there ever? Fade was strange, far beyond his own comprehension. So it was that he remained silent, not willing to spark would could be an elongated hostility. Some day this encounter might make some sort of sense, or then again maybe it would not. Who knew? With a quick turn, Rhuryc spun on a heel and made his pace away from the performer and her antics, leading well towards his destination of the ironworks. Maybe a few, good hits with a hammer would be enough to clear his mind.

When he emerged from the alleyway Rhuryc took in a single, deep breath, his emotions clearing for the better. If there was ever an exercise in patience that must have been it.

Fade watched him leave with mixed feelings she was sorry for how the conversation had gone, if it could be called a` conversation...
She hoped they would meet again and maybe clear up the small mess which had just happened

Additional Comments A little short, but I like both of these characters. It's a shame it ended already. Anyway, as usual you guys can always PM me about any questions or comments you have, I'm always willing to discuss a solution in some why.
Bad News Everybody. School is picking up, Exams are beginning to happen, homework is growing time consuming, I may soon be evicted from my apartment, I'm dealing with severe and physical fights among several of my best friends, and I can't seem to find a time to get much needed sleep. I'm terribly sorry, but don't expect to see much of me for a long while.
