Palla, being extremely clumsy, bumps into Orabelle

Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

"You don't need a connection with a god to understand animals." Orabelle told Palla gently."I-I know, but for all the time I've spent studying animals for references, I-I have nothing to show for it. M-Maybe I can learn more from interacting with the animals more." "Actually I don't have too strong of a connection with the animals. Wish I did though..." "I-I know." Palla sighed.
"A dolphin carving? How nice! I would actually love one." Why did I even ask? I shouldn't have. What if it's not good enough? What if I earn myself a bad reputation before the shop is even approved? "O-Okay, but how will I get it to you?" I-I could bring it to your home, u-unless, of course, you don't want me to.

"I live at Nia's boarding house." She told her. It's never a smart idea to give personal information but Palla didn't seem like a threat. The girl was obviously shy and kept to herself."Better yet why don't we meet here again? I really don't like being in my house and I like it here don't you? Anyways, we could meet here or somewhere's else." She gestured for the girl to follow her around."Do you mind if I take you around to see more aquatic animals?" Orabelle continued to walk.

"I live at Nia's boarding house." Me and my big mouth. What if she thinks I'm a stalker, wanting to know where she lives? "I-I'm at the Windswept condos."Palla stammered in reply." I-If you want, I can just drop it off. I-I like walking places in the cold, being from Avanthal."
"Better yet, why don't we meet here again? I really don't like being in my house and I like it here don't you? Anyways, we could meet here or somewhere's else." "S-Sure. I like the aquarium, there is so much to see." Orabelle looked at Palla "Do you mind if I take you around to see more aquatic animals?" She gestured for her to follow and continued to walk. Palla rushed to catch up with her, and then matched her pace.
OOCCan we try to make the posts a bit longer? I think we should both, to avoid interventions

"So you like carving animals?" Orabelle asked, she faced Palla and began to walk backwards. Palla couldn't be older than maybe fifteen could she? She studied her and began to play a guessing game. Was she older than fifteen? Or younger? Maybe, she was one of those people who have a very youthful look. Someone who is really thirty but looks to be a teenager. She didn't exactly know, but she was willing to find out."Palla, did you come to live in Riverfall with your parents?" Orabelle smiled warmly once again, she hoped her questions did not offend the poor girl. Orabelle should've asked a more reassuring question. But Orabelle was never one to think before she spoke. Always speaking for she could even think.

"So you like carving animals?" Orabelle asked as she walked backwards "Yes, I am most inspired by animals and nature. I love the beauty of the natural world." Palla noticed Orabelle looking at her with an intent expression. Do I have something on my face? I don't recall seeing anything. Palla looked at the aquarium glass, trying to get a glimpse of her reflection. Nope, nothing on my face. Why is she looking at me like that? "Palla, did you come to live in Riverfall with your parents?" Oh. The realization dawned on Palla Do I really look that young? "N-No, I came to Riverfall alone. I-I'm nineteen." Palla was still a little shocked. Nobody had mistaken her for that young, strangers could usually guess her age correctly.

"I find nature beautiful too. Animals... they have a story in their eyes that they cannot get out. I sometimes wish to be able to speak to them." She didn't know Palla was so interested in animals. Orabelle loved animals too and wished to understand them like someone who had a connection with Caiyha."Nineteen?!? My goodness you look so young, love!" Orabelle giggled, a little embarassed about how she was staring at Palla. She just truly wanted to know her age."Talented, beautiful and young! Child, you have it all and I envy you." She joked, giggling even harder."I'm sorry, it's just I haven't seen a lot of young women here. Well... women under twenty, but most are born here and the daughter of an Akalak." She paused."What made you leave Avanthal?"

"I find nature beautiful too. Animals... they have a story in their eyes that they cannot get out. I sometimes wish to be able to speak to them." "I-I know. I-I sometimes think animals may be more intelligent than us, seeing how some people act." Palla giggled.

Apparently, Orabelle has thought Palla looked very young, she told her. Orabelle giggled, looking a little embarassed. "A-Actually, I've never been told that I look that young. P-People, at least back in Avanthal, c-could guess my age pretty well."

I envy you, Orabelle said, because according to her, Palla was young, talented, and beautiful, she joked, laughing harder now." I-I can't deny the young part, but I'm not the prettiest, a-and besides, I'm only competent in carving." Orabelle apoligized. She hadn't seen many young woman here, she said, or women under 20. She paused and then asked what had made Palla leave Avanthal.

She's the first person in Riverfall to ask. " U-Um..." I'll just tell her the truth. It's not like I'm a fugitive or something. "I-I just felt the need for adventure. I-I just got bored in Avanthal, and even though it was hard to leave my friends, I-I felt the need do do something more. I-It felt like every day was the same boring thing."

"I feel you. I left the sea for the same exact reason." Orabelle shrugged."I love the beautiful sea and sometimes badly miss it and my pod. But I've loved there for so long, I don't know anything about land. But I want to know about it and know I will never part from what makes me who I am." She sighed, finding a nice bench to sit on, she patted the available seat next to her."I remember how much my father convinced me to stay and sometimes you have to spread your own wings and fly. Never forget your home but always make a new one." Orabelle tilted her head and wondered where the sea creature in one of the tanks were. Today must've been a very slow day for them.

"What's Avanthal like? Is it cold, wet, hot?" Orabelle asked becoming a bit curious about Palla's home town. She's only heard of the city a few times and every person she heard it from were vanthas. The race itself was a mystery to Orabelle. Shift changing eyes and a connection to the goddess Morwen is all she really knows about them.

"I-I found out more about who I am on the journey to Riverfall, a-and am learning things about myself that I never would have in Avanthal. E-Even though I have had to adapt to the temperatures here and I miss my friends and family, I'm glad I came to Riverfall." Palla sat down next to Orabelle. "M-My family didn't want me to leave either, b-but I felt like i just had to get out on my own for a little while." Palla looked at Orabelle, who was tilting her head at an empty tank. I wonder where the creature has gone.

"A-Avanthal is cold all year long. U-Us Vanthas are used to the cold, but the summers here are too hot for my liking." I still love Riverfall, even if I don't always agree with the temperature. Palla sighed. This conversation was bringing up bout a of homesickness.

Orabelle laughed a bit at what Palla first said. It was a bit ironic that it was too hot for her liking but it was too cold in Riverfall for her own liking. Even though the Suvan Sea still experienced what made winter winter it wasn't too cold. It was just really really breezy."It's good for a girl to be out on her own, exploring the world that is her own." She watched Palla's face change and began to act more sincere."You made a great choice, Palla. You followed your heart." Orabelle pointed to her chest."And your heart is never wrong because it tells you what you desired and you desired to explore!" She reached for her hand to hold it and smile."I'm sure your friends and family know this too and I bet they want you to be happy!" She shook her hand a bit and giggled."I'm sure of it."
