“No I’m sorry for touch you without your permission.” She said turning and Edwyn realized her face was a deep scarlet with embarrassment not anger as he had imagined. Leaning down she looked at him concerned, thin eyebrows scrunched slightly in a worried way “I’m not mad at all about the bond thingy, just shocked,” her words were level and they calmed him slightly as blinking she looked around glancing at the growing number of people passing them through the narrow hallway. A few observers stopped for a few moments to glimps the strange sight before hurrying on their way; some carrying wood, others small baskets of dried fruits, and still rarer was the occasional sword or mace dangling impressively from an armored frame. “Why don’t we go somewhere warm,” Nilika said holding out a delicate hand that Edwyn took graciously standing up, for the first time since sitting he realized the biting cold that burned with a heatless intensity through his own limbs.
“yeah” Edwyn responded thankfully before another gust of wind tore through the hallway like a ravaging wolf, its frost laden grasp clutching at them until it was ripped with a sudden abruptness. His teeth chattered and she asked
“We can go to my place or yours?” Edwyn didn’t really think about his answer, simply
“my place isn’t far… at least I don’t think it is…” he tried to visualize the way he had come, it hadn’t been that long of a walk… “here follow me” he said after a few moments; grasping her hand tighter and moving off down the hallway in the way he had come at a quick pace.
