For those who do not follow Laviku find her otani form confusing. The 5'6 woman successfully molds herself to look like a young, beautiful Svefran girl. Sadly, her webbed fingers and toes don't complete this form. Her face is almost heart-shaped and her eyes are beautifully crafted into oval shapes with long and gorgeous lashes. Her eyes do not hold a single color, although she tried to keep them blue, like her skin they vary. She has a cute and small nose which barely holds any scales. Her lips are plush and full too. Ay'tali's navy blue hair is what throws many people off. It goes down to her,mid-back all tangly and wet, decorated with a colorful seastar and a streak of seaweed. Her skin which holds multiple scales, is a light blue unless she feels some emotion, in that case it turns a lavender purple. Her body was molded into a perfect, slim frame which was on purpose. Ay'tali seems to almost shine because of her water-like form.

Although she is thirty, Ay'tali keeps a youthful look. She doesn't look a day over twenty and keeps it that way. She may age but her form never will. She loves being young and believes she has a youthful personality to match her youthful look.

Appearance in the water
Her shape in the sea is different. The waist up she still has her youthful, young look. She also wears no clothes... except an exotic cloth she had found wrapped around her chest. As for waist down, she takes a dolphin's tale. The tail itself is about four feet long and gets her around fast.

She's a handful but will definitely brighten up your day. She's never too serious and loves having fun! Touchful subjects will leave her in tears. Her musical abilities bring out someone different in her. When it comes to music, Ay'tali can be serious about it if she wanted. She is easily impressed and also eagered to learn. Ay'tali will awe at the simplest things sometimes. It's just that everything fascinates her which is why she is so moved by the konti women. Ay'tali also believes she is capable of learning anything and will do her best too. If she puts her mind to it, Ay'tali will be able to achieve it. She never gives up, not even on the hardest task. There is a lot of pain still building up in her... so sometimes she will seemed stressed or unease.

Character History

The 27th of Spring held bad weather. The sky screamed with thunder and lightning, and the sea being influenced by the horrible weather rocked back and forth, rapidly overlapping each other. It was the worse day ever, yet it was still, magical. As the Oceangem pod fought against the weather, they paid no attention to their kaei who were too fighting but not for their lives. They were protecting something that wouldn't be noticed at first glance. Hours after the storm started to calm down, the Lia of this specific pod paid much attention to her flock of kaei and began to take note on their odd behavior. They huddled very close together, barely moving and when they did it was to send signals to the pod that there was something in the water. The lia sent a crew out to check on the flock and they found what they thought was a blessing. A newborn otani. It barely looked like a regular baby. They were unsure if it were a girl or boy. But they knew it was an otani.

The pod came up with many theories for the otani. Laviku birthed the child himself was just a harmless joke. There were many more that do not matter because no one really knows how she was born. Just how she was raised. Ay'tali was raised by a lovely elderly woman who shared the same interest as an otani. The old woman, who went by Gyliae, taught Ay'tali who to sing although it seemed like a natural talent. Gyliae was too old to move but she would give Ay'tali detailed instructions to do certain dances. Ay'tali seem to have an affinity for music and loves to make others smile.

Because she is an otani, Ay'tali spent great amounts of her time in the water, tending to the flock or simply exploring the large sea she would call her own. Ay'tali was given a pretty normal childhood. The Oceangem treated Ay'tali as any other svefran child so there was no thought of leaving what Ay'tali thought was paradise.

But than Gyliae died, Ay'tali's closest friend and motherly figure. After her death, being in the pod brought her nothing but grief. As a young teenage otani she didn't think nothing of the pod when she swam off and they never heard of her again. Sadly, she was not thinking and put herself in a dangerous situation. She ended up swimming too far south, and found herself hiding in a lake in the jungle wilds. Ay'tali molded herself into something small and petite that wouldn't be noticed. Scared for her life, she didn't leave the lake, even during the hardest times when nothing would come her way she remained in the lake. It took about a year and two seasons before she stepped out the lake and began exploring what's around her. She learned what predators are and what was not. She grew a liking to what she thought were strange and unsual creatures. She began to love dry land and decided to spend a little more time on it than she did before.

Being on land just seemed like a curse, after great amount of time on land she ran into a few men who promised to get her back to the suvan. They got her across the suvan sea to a town called Kenash where she was sold as a slave to a dynasty family, the konraths. This caused a small conflict between the Draer and Konraths. The Svefran dynasty thought Ay'tali shouldn't be a slave but if she were, she should belong them. But the Konraths loved Ay'tali appearance and just thought they couldn't give her up.

Ay'tali was given a new name, Oceanna. For most of her life as a slave she was kept in a salt water where a particular akalak man watched her. She was a mystery to him, her beauty and musical talent. He found her as his personal slave and became very protective of her. When the Draer threatened to take her away, he was first to object. Some say he might've fell in love with her.

But Ay'tali couldn't fall in love with him. How can you fall in love with someone who took away your freedom? So when the Rujaro started a raid, she approached them cautiously and asked for help. They were happy to help, taking her to Syliras where she was kept safely. Syliras helped unite her with a childhood friend of her pod. She realized she didn't want to return to her pod and wanted to start new. During this period of time, she became Ay'tali Strong. She thought Strong would fit her best because of all she went through. Her childhood friend didn't push her to return but at least wanted her to be safe. So she told Ay'tali to stay in Syliras. But Ay'tali didn't want to be there either. So she began a travel to Mura where she could join the opal order.
