Basek of the Tiger Eyed
Race:- Myrian/Viper Dhani Mixed Blood Nickname:- Basil/Basilisk Birthday:- 41st of Winter, 490 Age:- 23 Birthplace:- Taloba Gender:- Male ![]() Basek is a Half-Myrian, Half-Dhani Viper. Born to the unlikely coupling of a Myrian and a Dhani can make it difficult to survive in a city such as Sunberth. His eyes, with the pupils of a snake, often unnerve people. He is often confused for an actual Dhani to those who have seen a Dhani before, despite only being a half-blood. Despite his Myrian heritage, he is rather average in height. He is not tall, standing only at 5'4". His skin is a light brown as opposed to the dark tan a traditional Myrian would have. From his Myrian and Dhani heritage, he has great overall fitness. He has a very slight muscle build in his legs, torso, and arms. His eyes are a grayish green, though the traces of the green will likely vanish on a typical cloudy day. He has short, black hair with a thin stubble over his chin. He typically wears a sack cloth shirt and pants under a hooded black cloak so he can more easily conceal his identity if he so chooses. Concept Basek is first and foremost a creature of cunning and shadow. When it comes to surviving, there are few things he will not do. When he isn't protecting his life, he is hunting--hunting for secrets and the powerful Miza. As a thief, he will take anything worth stealing, and he is not particularly above deception, torture, and possibly even the rare spout of murder to acquire what he desires should it be necessary. With these traits of his personality aside, he is more or less amicable to those who do not know him. He enjoys listening to mellow music or drums, and he may settle down near a bard to collect his thoughts and plan out his activities. As a man of thought, he is always plotting his next move. In conversations he can be outgoing, and he may have a few interesting stories to tell of his past to those that would hear them. He hails from Taloba, land of the Myrians. The one thing he does not like to discuss, is why he left. He enjoys the company of his people, but they rarely enjoy his. Basek was never a warrior, nor was he a woman. He was quick on his toes, but he wasn't strong enough to hold any ground with his homeland, in a society where a strong warrior was everything to the people. As he was a half-Dhani, the Myrians treated him like dirt, often sending him off for the suicidal or trivial tasks. As a man lost to rejection, who believes himself to have little honor left, Basek has grown fond of a few gods in his travels. Myri, first and foremost, is his mother goddess. He holds her in reverence above all others, the others whom he holds in equal regard to each other. He loves Akajia for her shadows, and Yshul for her praise of stealing. He has also grown fond of Ionu and Kelwynn, for without them there would be less secrets and strange in the world for him to perceive and surprise him. If he had been able to earn Myri's favor in Taloba, perhaps he might not have left. History ![]() History
