[Tall Johnny's] Bludo Jr.

The sight of the bloodied body appeared every time she blinked her eyes. It was relentless, evil, and shameful. No matter the differences the two had between them, no one really needed to die. They weren't even the one's fighting in the arena!

Amora thought for sure the man she stole from hadn't noticed due to the intensity of the crowd, but suddenly she heard someone behind her yelling. She didn't react to it, she simply trod forward quickly and pulled her wool hood over her head, hoping that the man would think he had the wrong person.

Thinking she had her get away she began to slow down. "Whew.. that was close"

Suddenly some crow flew up behind her and it's tiny body deformed and stretched until it was the size and appearance of a man. The sudden occurrence froze her in her tracks, she wasn't expecting that. She thought the man she stole from must have had a friend looking after him.

"I'll give it back! Just leave me alone!" She shouted at the once-crow-again creature and began to back away from him. All too often she found herself in trouble with someone who she thought at first was an easy target. How was she supposed to know nearly every lanky man in Sunberth seemed to carry around protection with him?

After turning around and seeing that it wasn't the man she had targeted in the casino, her nerves eased up a bit.

"Who the hell are you and what do you want from me?" Her snappy tone was a warning towards him - not that she could actually harm the man.

He was much larger than she was and could obviously handle himself. Even if she were to somehow cause him any damage he had a friend with him that could easily find her. It was an unfair advantage she wished she could slip away from.

"Just find out what he wants and get the hell out of here as quickly as you can.."

OOCSorry for the short post, a couple of loud kids are here and it's hard to concentrate.

Day 37 of Winter in the Year 513 AV

Roy shivered as the cold wind cut through his thin shirt. He really needed to stop forgetting to wear a coat. It was the middle of winter after all. Shadows shifted across the dark streets, alleyways leering dangerously as he passed by. They were highly perilous areas to pass through at night. Gangs, thugs, murderers and thieves lurked, waiting for their unsuspecting victim.

Live in Sunberth long enough, you know better to than walk into places too dark. If he peered closely enough, he would be able to see slight movements in the dark, a hint to stay away to those who knew what to look for. But he ignored all of that and hurried across the uneven cobble stone, trying to catch up with the woman.

He turned the corner just in time to spot the woman come to an abrupt halt. He slowly, looking at her puzzled as she backed up hastily. He thought he saw a small form fly off before dismissing it from his mind. He picked up his pace and came to a stop a little ways away from her. When she turned and snapped at him, he blinked, startled by her response.

“I’m so stupid, just because I noticed her doesn’t mean she noticed me.”

He cursed himself as he realized how idiotic he must look. No one in Sunberth approached one another out of the blue, especially at night. The only people who did that were thugs to either rob or kill you and prostitutes who well, wanted to rob you and have their way. He hesitated, suddenly a little shy as he finally had the opportunity to speak to her. He tried to still his fidgeting as he looked a little more closely at her. She looked spooked.

“Guess that’s a part of the business though. Always looking over your shoulder. Fear twisting in your gut every time someone calls out. The paranoia must be crazy.”

The fighter was suddenly at loss for words as she stared at him, hostilely.

“Why did I come out here to talk to her? What did he expect her to say when I called out? I would be just as cautious if some man out of the blue chased me down…She probably gets chased a lot now that I think about it…”

Roy cleared his throat, realizing a few ticks had gone by since she spoke and he hadn't responded.

“Hey, my name’s Roy…I didn’t want anything from you…I just…” He wrestled with the words, his tongue seemed tied in knots and he felt the frustration rise in the pit of his stomach. He didn't have many friends and he was a little awkward around people, especially this one. After a few moments he was finally able to regain his composer. “I saw you at the fight club and noticed that you were alone. Being alone…it takes a toll on people…”

He trailed off, lost in thought. He knew he was speaking more to himself than he was to her. He was luckier than most, he had a father and a mother who loved him but yet he couldn't open up to them. He had the most important people in his life yet he couldn't bring himself to speak his mind. Years of resentment kept his lips sealed.

Roy shook his head and took a deep breathe. “So. I wanted to say hello.”

NoteI didn't see Buras post so I was suuuuper confused about what the heck you were seeing, but after reading your post about five read times I saw his post and realized what was going on, haha

Buras almost laughed at the expression on the girls face when he changed forms. Probably thought I did magic. Oh well, I can't blame her. He saw the man catch up to the girl and ramble on about how his name was Roy and why he wanted to talk to her.

Deciding to say hello to the two, Buras flies down from his perch, and changes into his human from. "Glad to see that you decided to wait for this man." Buras said to the girl, "And I'm glad you caught up, fighter. My name is Buras, and you said yours was Roy. Now, the only name we don't know, is yours, girl."

Buras stood shivering in the cold, waiting politely for the girl to answer. Maybe once I know both there names, I can convince them to wait here or come to my tent so I can get some warm clothes on. Or maybe I can get them to meet back at that fight club.

The silence between the two as the boy was at a loss for words made Amora feel even more uneasy than she had before. She wasn't sure whether or not he was trying to come up with some elaborate lie to try and lead her somewhere with him. It wouldn't work anyway though, living in a place like this your whole life will make you paranoid and careful.

When he introduced himself by name Amora had to fight back the look of confusion on her face. Who in their right mind would try and track someone down at night just to introduce his or herself?

"Being alone... it takes a toll on people..." The boy didn't even seem to be addressing the thief anymore as the trailed off. Amora didn't really know what it meant to be alone. She and her mother stuck together through everything and have never lived apart from each other. The most she ever felt alone was the times she found herself walking down an empty street - so not very often.

"He just wanted to say hello? As if..."

The Kelvic man made himself known again and took his place near them. He introduced himself as well and all Amora could think was how little she actually cared what either of their names were. All she wanted was to go home.

"My name?!" She wanted to scream and hit the man. "Does he really think that after they both stopped me, while I was on my way home in the middle of the night, that I am actually going to be friendly and give out my name?!"

"None of your damn business." Her tone was cold as she responded, looking at both of them once more. She found herself a bit curious about the first man - he looked as if he had just been in a fight. As for the second, her curiosity grew from the animal side of him. Though it seemed as if it was strange for a girl like her, she had a soft spot for the fauna of Mizahar.

Without anymore hesitation she turned on her heels and ran into the dark, silently praying for Akajia to keep her hidden within her shadows.

Exit Miss Jade.

Day 37 of Winter in the Year 513 AV

Roy’s eyes narrowed as he locked eyes with her. “Well, what did I expect? I would have probably acted the same.”

There was a fire in her eyes as her gaze drilled into his, her curt response cracking like a whip through the frigid air. But he could understand. Two men had just come out of nowhere, one had run her down from a fight club and the other had appeared from thin air, in the middle of the night, demanding her name and spewing some nonsense about being lonely.

“Though if it were me, I probably would have swung first, ask questions later. Though she is a woman...Doesn’t look like she’d do well if things went south…Kind of surprised she didn’t bolt right away.”

As for the Kelvic who appeared, Roy had no idea what to think of him. He was so startled when the man appeared, he almost started swinging. The man was lucky he was exhausted from his fight and his sense were dull or the man would have been on the ground in a hurry.

“It’s common curtsey, you don’t sneak up on people like that. The only people who sneak are thieves and murderers.”

After the initial shock of the man’s arrival wore off, Roy ignored him when it seemed as if he was no threat. He kept his body shifted slightly towards him and rested lightly on the balls of his toes in case he tried anything. He wasn’t stupid.

He was a little disappointed when she whirled around on her heels and disappeared into the night. He had no idea what he expected when he chased after her but it also didn’t surprise him either that the introduction went so poorly.

He sighed and eyed Buras warily, the two remaining people in the dark streets of Sunberth. He had no idea what to make of the man and thought it best just to walk away. He was ready to pass out and let his body recover from his night’s activity. Roy turned and strode off into the night, the inky blackness swallowing him up, leaving nothing behind except the swirl of darkness left in his wake.

Exit Roy

NoteNothing personal Buras, we just wanted to end the thread and get it graded, IC Roy isn't the friendliest type and you startled him coming out xD

Oh, all the interesting people left, might as well leave to, back to my warm tent I go. And with that, Buras changed back into a crow and flew into the darkness.

Exit Buras.
