Winter 35th, 513 AV
A slightly mad glint went through Vyvian's eye as he rifled through the various books he had taken from the library. Some with the librarian's permission, some.... without.
Akajia was.. simply fascinating. She seemed to thrive on, well knowledge. It was the most noble existence he could have ever imagined. To exist simply to learn.
As reverent as he was towards this figure, he admitted that he felt some fear in himself about her. Naturally, his dream was to meat her, maybe be privileged enough to be a wearer of her gnosis... nightstalking...
Vyvian's eyes unfocussed slightly and a dull smile crossed his face as he imagined it.. such power.. so many secrets.
But there was the fear.. what if she found him uninteresting, what if he was cursed.. he.. he was so scared of disappointing
Closing his eyes he thought.. or prayed...
Akajia.. Night Mistress..
If you are anything like I expect you to be then I know you'll despise fanaticism. It is just over-opinionated belief based on no evidence. You are a goddess of secrets and knowledge, so you and I both live off one thing: evidence. If we find proof for something we know it exists.
I only hope beyond hope that you can see that we share the same interests, I would be honoured to meet, or communicate with you. There is no point hiding truth, since we both want all of it. I want your gnosis to further enhance my quest to find answers. Amongst.. other things, I intend to find out how to solve my race's birthing problem. It is the single biggest source of torment for us, and as much as I hate my peers, I can't wish suffering on innocents.
From this coming spring I plan to leave Kalinor and explore the world. My curiosity forbids me to stay any longer in this stale cave. I need to see the rest of the world.
Hopefully.. Hopefully you can see that we would be mutually beneficial to each other. I hope I haven't offended.
Regards.
Vyvian wet his lips and opened his eyes. He wondered if that had even worked.. or whether he had been too.. fanatical. Shaking his head he closed the books and stacked them neatly.
He needed to learn. Aerial dancing.. cooking.. sewing..
He needed to distract himself from this loneliness.
