Wren sighed, back against another tree. Viper had run off, the ghosts would go to get the Knights...this had all been a colossal waste of time. He eyed the glade from a distance, feeling the emanating malice and rage pushing against the edge of his mind. He'd almost overdone it, enough so that he was no longer comfortable using any more of his djed today. The muscle had been flexed and even as the sweet whispers begged he try it again, he bit down hard on his own tongue, the pain forcing him back into the here and now.

He began to clean the blood from his blades, methodically, dully, not bothering to answer the Kelvic's confession of powerlessness. Honestly, she had known so little about it...and the Hunters who came before seemed plagued of minor issues compared to the horde that had attacked them then. Perhaps it was capable of reading intention...or, like him, had a distaste for unrestful spirits.

Cleaning the last of his blades, he sheathed them and retrieved his horse, tying it to a low hanging branch while they waited for the Knights to arrive and take over.

"Should have been a Knight's issue to begin with," he chastised quietly, brushing wolf fur and crusted blood form his leather armor, "For a protector of the forest, you should learn the value of properly assessing a threat." Looking up, cutting the distance between them with a withering gaze, he shook his head.

"At least you'll honor your word of payment for our troubles...so this wasn't a complete waste of time."

This PC has the Blight gnosis. As such, you as a player need to be aware of what that consists of. Wrenmae has an invisible aura that amplifies sickness and disease. Wounds may become infected, small sneezes may become coughing, and a slight fever may become more serious. A nuit's body will also break down faster in the presence of the Blight. These effects may not be immediate, but within the few days following your encounter, the symptoms will manifest. Some sooner than others. I cannot control your character, so creativity will be left up to you. Best wishes and stay healthy!

[Bronze Woods] Calamity Glade (Shiyami, Viper, Wrenmae)

Look for Knights, and ask for help. What's to say those knights won't choose to torch his soulmist to the ground? After all, ghosts don't seem to be the race most easily welcomed with warm hugs. "I wonder who have them the bad impression...?", Shiyami sighed, as he muttered the question in annoyance.

He knew from past experience that the Knights do regular patrols, general in groups. However, groups varied in size. "We could go search within the Bronze Woods, and then work our way towards the main roads.", his small companion suggested, to which Shiyami nodded in agreement. They went off, floating an inch or two of the ground, listening carefully for any sounds that resembled footsteps.

After perhaps a few chimes, the pair of ghosts got lucky.they spotted a pair of knights patrolling, near the edge of the Bronze Woods. Shiyami sighed, both in relief, and of dealing with the armored-clankers, as he had come to nickname them. Floating towards them, he waved before pointing behind him, in the direction of the Glade. "Back there, we've got trouble. Ama needs help.", the ghost said, adding the second sentence just to hopefully push his case. Kimi was clinging onto his back, peeking around to look at the Knights nervously.

[Bronze Woods] Calamity Glade (Shiyami, Viper, Wrenmae)

The glade looked calm now when it detected no threat in its enlarged territory, a silent observer as it possessively claimed a portion of the Woods for its own. Ama sighed as she took in Murdock's words, slightly dropping her heart as guilt washed over her, he was right, she should have known better, she had underestimated the threat and she almost lead innocent lives to their death... second death for Shiyami and Kimi, "I have no excuse," she gave him a small smile, "and thank you, your efforts will be rewarded, I assure you".

As the ghost duo flew through the trees, they encountered a patrol, consisted of two knights, Ser Wade Brock and Ser Percival Volimir, they were riding their might Tiaden warhorses, wearing the signature light armor of the Order. Ser Wade raised an eyebrow at the approaching ghosts, his right hand idly moved to his sheathed longsword, Ser Percival was calmer, he simply held a neutral expression at the ethereals. "Speak your business," Ser Wade spoke with an authoritative voice, though they were ghosts, they should be treated as fellow sentient beings and since the male one waved to them, the knight assumed he wanted to talk.

"Ama, you say?" Ser Percival spoke this time, his tone curious, the Kelvic protector of Bronze Woods needed help and she sent two ghosts to deliver the message, something was clearly up. "Of truth you speak?" The knight inquired further, his sharp brown eyes examining the ghost's form, he was curious about the little girl clinging on his back, but kept his words off the matter. Percival turned to the older knight, "Should we go check, Wade?"

Wade put his right hand to rub his stubble, pondering, "I suppose..." he examined Shiyami's feature, his instinct told him to trust the ghost, the senior knight prayed to Yahal to watch over them as he nodded, "Yes, take us to Ama". As the ghost floated off, the two knights spurred their horses, keeping a watch on their surroundings.

"By Yahal..." Wade couldn't hide his astonishment as the sight of two people, wounded, one of them was Ama and the other one, he didn't recognize. Both of the Knights dismounted their horse as they approached, Wade went to Ama while Percival went to Murdock. The Kelvic's eyes lit up as she smiled at the Knight, explaining on what happened, summarizing it for the Knight's convenience, "I'm not as young as I was, Ser Wade, I'm afraid... this is beyond my abilities, even with the help of these three brave volunteers," Ama gestured to Murdock, Shiyami, and Kimi.

"I see, very well, the Order shall handle this cursed glade promptly, I shall return to Syliras, do you require further assistance?" Wade offered, Ama answered with a slow shake of her head, assuring them she would be alright, "Very well then". The senior knight started walking back to his horse, mounted it, then sped to Syliras, Percival followed shortly, keeping his silence throughout the conversation.

"Now then..." Ama used the tree as a leverage to stand up, "I will bring your rewards" she hunched down and shifted to her dire wolf form, sniffing on the ground, then as if finding something, walked to a particular spot, still sniffing, then began digging on the ground. After a few ticks, she gestured for them to look upon the small hole she dug, in it was two glinting blue gem, sapphires, one for Murdock and one for Shiyami. Ama had hid it there, expecting to give the volunteer rewards after they cleared the Glade, the mission had failed, but she would honor their efforts. After they took it, they were free to leave.

[Bronze Woods] Calamity Glade (Shiyami, Viper, Wrenmae)

The entire time Shiyami was in the company of the knights, he felt slight wariness. Who knew when these armor-cladded brutes might start wielding magic, and throw something that can harm ghosts in his general direction. He wondered whether or not burning the forest would even work, considering the strength of the Glade, plus it's intent was unwavering.

When Shiyami had returned to the Glade, this time with the knights, he looked over towards the now serene, but still dangerous zone of the forest. "Perhaps this was far too much, for those without magic. Could always add the requirement of magic, the next time you find a rising problem to be of a magical nature.", the ghost advised Ama, as he watched the Kelvic morph back into her wolf form.

Shiyami raised an intangible eyebrow, as he watched Ama sniff around, before digging at an area nearby. So, the wolf hid the rewards near the setting of the job. It was a surprise, that they wouldn't have to find a knight who carried the jewels. Pleasant nonetheless, however. "My, my, if the Glade had expanded far enough, we might have had problems attempting to collect the payment.", he said, a carefree and joking tone audible within his words. He reached out a soul mist tendril, to pick up one of the gems, before looking at it. "Someday, you have to tell me how you manage to amass the jewels you've always used to pay off brave volunteers and adventurers.", he said, before waving towards Kimi, and floating away, his companion following close behind.

"I'm going to miss the fun this place has given me.", Shiyami muttered softly, to which his little follower agreed with a silent nod of the head.
