Character Concept- Zarriiph is tall, and strong. He is quite independent as a result of being the last survivor of his clan. This has also made him serious. You will rarely see him smile, and he often walks around without visible emotion. Zarriiph feels that by acting emotionless he protects himself from mockery. Underneath the surface he is as tense as a crouched tiger. Ready at any moment to release his rage. His loyalty's lie in Myri, and followed closely by Navre. Whom he honors for the gift of the tigers.

Likes- Zarriiph enjoys combat in all of its forms. He will sit, and watch training matches all day long. He loves to spar, and he loves to fight. Zeriiph is also a big fan of mangoes.

Dislikes- He dislikes having to refrain from confrontation. He looks down upon lesser fighters, and those who lack the will to do what’s necessary. He also has a superiority complex which tends to get him into trouble when dealing with a female dominant society. He lacks the knowledge of when to back down.

Ethics- Zarriiph’s ethics are strange. He will do almost whatever he wants, whenever he wants. He sees thievery as pointless, and as just a manifestation of laziness. He has absolutely no problem with killing in cold blood. Although this rarely is shown as he is almost never in said "cold blood". If you gain his loyalty he will not break it, but he is rarely loyal.

The Crimson Fang

Character History

Familial History
A long time ago, shortly after the Valterrian. The clan of the "Red Orchid", branched into several families. One of these family's was "the forgotten riders".
This family called themselves this because they were masters of all forms of mounted combat. However they were denied the honor of high position in the armies. So they sank into a political rut. They had few honors, and went through life with little use other than common warriors. Upon the birth of one woman Zarrina this changed. Zarrina was a masterful tactician, and warrior. She rose quickly in the ranks, but through her temper she made many enemies. During a war with a neighboring tribe she charged with her warriors, ignoring the orders of her superior. She picked up a standard of Myri, and broke the flank of the opposing force. She continued her charge until she reached the opposing general, and then killed him on the spot. However when she reached her companions she was immediately taken to the council to decide what her punishment for disobedience should be.

They decided she should be released, but that her commanding position should be revoked. This slight made Zarrina inwardly furious. Following her past actions of arrogance, and boldness. She took her depleted warriors, and attacked the civilization of Dhani living near the forest. This rash decision not only cost her life, but the life of many of her warriors. When the forgotten riders finally made their way back to Taloba there were few left.

The family renamed themselves in remembrance of their bloody ride. They called themselves "The crimson riders". These few warriors now dedicated their life to service of Taloba. They didn't care for political power, or commanding positions. They volunteered for the hardest jobs. They would do anything they were asked, in regards to helping the city.

This family continued in this tradition for many years, gradually getting smaller from their extreme acts of dedication.

Eventually coming down to the last survivor. A man named Zarriiph

Zarriiph's Past
Zarriiph was born into a dwindling family. His mother died shortly after his birth. So his aunt was the primary force in his life. His aunt Sariina was the next in line to the clan matriarch. His grandmother Damai was the current matriarch, but she was on a sickbed for most of Zarriiph's early life. So Sariina took most of the responsibilities of the clan. When Zarriiph was 10 years old his grandmother died in her sleep. Sariina finally took the title of matriarch in full. His childhood was spent in training like most Myrian children. He rarely spent time with other children which gave Zarriiph a grave outlook on life. This was only furthered by the infertility of his aunt. She was unable to bring forth a child, so she spent many hours teaching Zarriiph the ways of the forest. She taught him how to fight, but also how to win. She showed him the science of combat, because she had no daughter to pass the information to. She told him that he must uphold the honor of the entire family. For he is the last of their line.

One of the most tragic moments of Zarriiph's life was the death of his beloved aunt. Sariina was on post next to the Dhani lair, when she was attacked from behind by a group of angry Dhani. She was killed on the spot. When the news reached Zarriph he spent days in silent mourning, not even coming out to eat. This event took his already silent nature, and opened it up to hate, fury, and, knowledge of his duty. The duty to uphold the entirety of his families honor...
