When Three People Meet

Postby Dallen on February 17th, 2014, 10:36 pm

Day 23, Spring 496

Dallen's mother opened the door, and with a pained cheerful smile to Dallen, closed the warped wooden door to their home. Bored and disgruntled by her sudden flight, Dallen rubbed his eyes and sat up on his chair, swinging his legs in the air below. Moving over to the table, which Dallen could just start to see over the top of, he reached up and searched for food with his hand, and finally finding a sizable piece of stale bread, started munching on the crunchy bread. Moving over to the door, he had to stand on his tiptoes to reach the latch, and when he had pulled it down, he pushed, having to force the warped wood upon its hinges. Kicking the door shut, Dallen looked out into the dusty street, and munching on the bread, glimpsed his mother heading off to work. Shrugging, Dallen walked over to the house next door, which was connected by a common wall. Knocking briefly before barging in, Dallen looked around for the other child who apparently lived here. Ignoring some strange noise coming from a locked room, Dallen looked around for Daniel.

When Three People Meet

Postby Eleazar Victor Syroin on February 22nd, 2014, 10:31 am

Daniel, the boy who would one day go on to be known as Eleazar Victor Syroin, was an adventurous young child. Having turned two last season the boy could only be described as energetic but quiet. Having moved house yet again, young Daniel Woodrum had already explored every nook and cranny of the crumbling house. It was quite different being in a building when you had only lived in tents before, so each new thing fascinated the toddler.

At the current moment in time, Daniel was balanced on top of a tower of wooden crates filled. The reason? A crooked shelf located halfway up the wall, upon which sat a small clay pot of honey. It had been a gift from a grateful visitor a few days ago and had been tempting him even since. With his mother busy in the other room with their current guest, he had the perfect opportunity to sneak a finger-full of the treat.

Tiny hands outstretched as he balanced on top of the wobbling stack of boxes, the two year old's fingers brushed the edge of the shelf. Come on, just a little further. Beneath the precariously balanced boy, one of the old crates burst, sending it contents of small rocks showering on to the floor below. With this upset, what the toddler was currently standing on began to lean. Sensing the danger, Daniel made the quick decision to leap from his perch to swing from the shelf as the tower fell out underneath him with a loud smash.

Unfortunately for the dark haired munch-kin the rickety shelf didn't want to hold his weight either. Creaking nastily the rusted screws attaching it to wall slowly ripped a small section of the wall out. After a chime of fighting to stay whole, the plaster and wooden planks gave up causing toddler, shelf and all to fall down onto the messy floor. Luckily for the honey pot, it got a soft landing upside-down upon Daniel's head. Daniel himself, was nursing his grazes and bruises with a wobbling lower lip, sharp sniffs and withheld tears.

Plucking the clay pot off his head, a river of honey flowed over his head, gluing itself to his hair and face. Injuries soon forgotten, the toddler's small hands were soon stuffing as much of the sugary goodness in between his pink lips as they could. Licking up his elbow, the two year old lifted his head at the sound of knocking and the front door opening. Mother already had a guest to entertain so it wasn't that. Confused the sticky small child clutched the honey pot to his chest and wandered off to see who was there.

When Three People Meet

Postby Renesa on February 22nd, 2014, 11:40 am

Renesa, unlike most of people in riverfall, was a bit spoiled for a child. She knew the dangers, although she was never allowed to even see the world on her own.She was sheltered, at least until she knew better than picking fights at random, or even insulting people that could easily kill her.

That spoiled upbringing, and the way she was raised would make her a relatively kind woman later on her life, but for now, she was just a problem child, locked away on her bedroom.

But Renesa's frown soon curled into a smile, as she heard the noise.Looking from where it came from, noticing a hole on the wall.A small one, far too small for her mother, or father, to fit inside. The careless child climbed through the hole without a care, not noticing there was no ground on the other side.Instead, what was waiting for her was a fall.A rather big one, for her size, which made her land right on top of Daniel.

Renesa's scream of panic as she fell wouldn't be loud enough to get the attention of the adults, but would surely grab Dallen's attention, as she slowly stood back up, trying to calm down.

"W-why you did destroy my room wall?" Renesa said, having a bit of trouble speaking correctly in her age.It wasn't something that she could be blamed for, after all, she's still just a child, learning the ropes of the world.

When Three People Meet

Postby Dallen on February 24th, 2014, 10:06 am

Dallen, sighting Daniel falling from the shelf, bringing down a piece of the wall with him, sighed and walked over to him. The kid was being clumsy, as always. Sighting a honey pot in his hands, he grinned boisterously and opened the top, sticking his finger in and licking it. Putting the top back on, he said, "Hey, Dan! I just came over to see what ya were doin'!" Pointing at the wall, he said, "Woah, what'd ya do, rip it outta the wall?" Licking his finger, he looked at the broken crates. "Ah, ya were tryin' to get some of the sweet stuff, huh? Well I-"

Despite being extremely verbal for his age, Dallen was easily distracted by a girl falling on the boy in front of him, which made Daniel drop the honey. Catching it, Dallen clutched it to his chest, and frowned at the girl. "W-why you did destroy my room wall?" Grinning at her finally speaking, Dallen helped Daniel up and said, "Oh, that'd be Daniel here, he's always breaking things on accident. But at least he got this honey!" Holding it out for Daniel to take, he said, "Maybe if you say your name, you can get some!"
