Nerida Tempest The Basics Race: Svefra Gender: Female Age: 15 Birthday: 80th day of Summer, 498 A.V Birthplace: Aboard the Sloop: The Waverunner's Fist Appearance: This Svefra stands at 6'0", her strawberry blonde hair hanging free and long, reaching down around her elbows when she stands straight. Occasionally she'll tie it back into a messy ponytail, leaving her stormy eyes, and the rest of her face, bare and exposed to the wind and sun. Her skin holds a slight tan, though most of it is usually covered under loose, layered garments that generally provide maximum mobility. In whole, she is rather lean, sporting muscles strengthened after a year or two of helping out on The Waverunner's Fist. Character Concept After the recent tragedy befalling her pod, Nerida usually carries a solemn gaze, eyes darkened by what she had experience. While most of the time she would be rather quiet, she can still find a pleasant smile to greet someone with, though whatever happiness that displayed itself on her face would not reach her eyes. Before the tragedy arose, Neri was more of a light-hearted, cheerful person, with a small mischievous streak that sometimes came into play. In many situations she turned out to be a quick thinker, which helped in the aftermath of the Tempest Tragedy. She held a passion for swimming that she still carries to this day, her time in the ocean spent with her Tavan, Rasia. In terms of weapons, Nerida has some skill with an Atani she inherited from her mother, as well as with a Kris. Character History The Tempest Tragedy Nerida had been fast asleep in her quarters on The Waverunner's Fist, her sleep peaceful and dreamless, aided by the rocking sensation of the boat. It's rhythmic movement had called her to give in to sleep, flood her mind with gentle nothingness. And- She was jerked awake by the explosion rocketing through the ship, the sound of it swelling in her ears. After a moment of startled confusion, she leapt out of bed, having nodded off in the same clothes she had been wearing all day. Pausing to scoop up her Kris from it's position near the door, she made her way onto the deck cautiously, the sound of fighting reaching her ears. It was chaos. Around her battles were raging, lit with harsh shadows by various flickering fires peppering the ship. The occasional cry of exertion or pain floated to her ears, along with the fateful words.. "Lia Tatianna has fallen!" After that, her memories were slightly fuzzy, perhaps the result of shock from some point that night. She remembers seeing Calli, her pod sister, and, as the fighting grew more fierce and bloody around her, going below deck and hiding in one of their rooms. There she knew she fell asleep, the scent of smoke filling her lungs and dreams. Afterwards she remembers venturing out into the wreckage of the ship, and the crushing grief she felt. Together they had scoured the ship for what supplies remained, and they stayed there, utilising their gnosis marks for water, and mainly eating what fish their tavans could find.. Sporting a blue gradient, the scarf bears weights at both ends, though one holds the addition of a small blade. Though she isn't too skilled at using it, Neri knows enough to dish out serious damage to any assailants. Tavan Rasia, the Sea Lion. She weighs 149 Ibs and reaches 5.6 feet. She is 3 years old, and Nerida's faithful companion.
