Rykin Windstriders Race: Drykas Gender: Male Age: Twenty Birthday: On the 36th day of the Summer of 493 AV Birthplace: The city of Endrykas Current Location: Cyphrus Grasslands Hand Preference: Ambidextrous   Appearance Standing on the taller end of the height spectrum, he stands over most at the height of six feet two inches. His height is complimented by the muscles that are needed to live in a kill or be killed world that is the Cyphrus Grasslands. His arms are well muscled to accommodate the drawing of a taught bowstring, or swinging the cold steel of blade. Years spent abreast a Strider, bolting across the grasslands with wind lashing against his cheeks, has conditioned his legs to be strong and sturdy, supporting a lean, athletic torso. His skins is tanned, result of constant exposure to unforgiving heat of the blazing sun. His features is playful with a thin nose laying crookedly on his face from constant breakage and full lips. His eyes are a brooding blue that remind some of the stormy sea, his brows are bushy with a slight curve at the ends. His hair is a deep, rich copper, highlighted with the occasional auburn lock of hair. Kept long and flowing, the dark ringlets resting causally on his shoulder, the dyed white ornamentation is woven into the knot-work of his hair to depict his status as a warrior of the Diamond Clan. A slightly lighter tone of chestnut stubble covers his chiseled, strong jawline. Rykin's windmarks are etched across the right side of his back, starting at his waist it slithers up his back, across his right shoulder, clinging along the right side of his neck. Many look upon the swirling tendrils of his tattoo and imagine and a majestic wing, craving to spread itself and take flight. When he catches glimpses of it in a reflection he doesn't see wings, he sees the stormy gales of a storm. [tabset=200]   Personality Defiantly an extroverted type of person he is known to speak his mind freely, giving his two cents whenever he feels he needs to. To him his thoughts and opinions are things that others need to hear, this causes him to feel a sense obligation in expressing them, even if they are unwanted. This has caused others to become irritated, and even, angered towards him; however, he is an easygoing lad once you get past that. Rykin is known to be very stubborn, and this has caused him to make brash, foolhardy decisions that lead towards danger. Being extremely hotheaded, he is easily flustered, leading him to start up many arguments with many of them turning towards a more physical kind of nature. Rykin takes great pride in his swordsmanship, enjoying the moments his steel slices through the defense of his opponent. He finds greater joy though in the company of others. Enjoying a gritty, clever sense of humor he finds comfort in conversing with the warriors of his clan; however, he enjoys the moments he spends with Outsiders. They give him a slight glimpse of the world outside the Cyphrus Grasslands, and every day he craves to experience it himself. Though he has many of the vices of a brash young Drykas, he has a more somber, honorable side to him. He enjoys the simple moments, like the breeze blowing across his faces as he presses his Strider on, galloping through the swaying stalks of grass, or the rhythmical scrapping of a whetstone against the edge of his blade. He is very protective of the people he holds the closest, willing to put his life on the line in order to protect them. Even beyond that he will do anything in his power to protect any he deems in danger. The set of clothing contains a simple shirt, pants, undergarments, cloak, and high boots. Leather Pouch, Belt The belt allows him extra storage for small and tiny objects. It also allows him a place to strap his scabbared and his hunting dagger. Currently he only has one gold Miza and five silver Miza within the pouches. Iron Sword, Broad A simple, unadorned iron sword he has it on him whenever he leaves the comfort of his Pavilion. Keeping it in good condition the sword has never failed him yet. The sword is five feet long with the blade taking up three and half feet of the length. The basket hilt has a thin spike of metal that is four inches long, used mostly to catch the blades of his opponents. Bronze Buckler[ooc=*]Only on person when he is outside of Endrykas Unlike his sword he only has the bronze buckler attached to his when he leaves Endrykas. Whenever not in use he has it secured along the flank of his Strider, Lysing. The shield's gleaming brilliance is only marred by a few scratches. Leather Armor*Only worn on situations such as hunting, traveling, or planned fights. Crafted by one of the esteemed craftsman from the Ruby clan. Providing the materials from various kills her made out hunting in the Cyphrus Grasslands. The armor has a little worn, but it is still a solid piece of armor. Leather/Iron Scabbard Another product of the masterful Ruby craftsmen. Most of the materials were provided by his hunting trips. The scabbard is mainly crafted from leather with iron in place to give it more security. Etchings of the wild horses that roam the Cyphrus Grasslands appear along its length. Leather Waterskin Crafted by a slave owned by the Windstriders Pavilion, the item is a simple thing. History [Still in the Works] Rykin's coming into this world was welcomed with the uncontrollable wrath of Zulrav. Blotches painted a pitch black were spread across the expanse roof of the sky above the grasslands. The howls of the gales whipped there way across the stalks of grass as they herded all life into the few sanctuaries from the brewing tension. Cowering within one of those sanctuaries was the Windstriders Pavilion, separated from their clan.

Companions

Lysing Lysing 16hh Cyphrus Strider stallion Bonded to Rykin Four Years Old Where Rykin is more brash and arrogant of the pair, Lysing is the complete opposite. He is more cautious, and thinks out his actions instead of running straight into danger. Yet, he has a protective nature towards Rykin and he sets aside all his caution in order to protect him. Steadfast in danger, he won't leave Rykin's side in any situation unless ordered by him. He is on the larger spectrum of Striders, standing at sixteen hands, and chiseled with well-sculpted muscles. His glistening buckskin coat is marred by four jagged scar that run from his spine down his flank. After spending much time recovering from the wound, it is now just a simple reminder for Rykin of how his brashness can hurt the ones he cares about.   Rev Rev Male Drykas Luvanor Grassland Hunter Heirloom/Owned by Rykin Three Years Old Rev was given to Rykin as a gift from his grandfather a year after his bonding with Lysing. The hound never seems to have lost its energetic spirit since growing up from a pup. Rev is known to cause chaos around the Windstriders Pavilion and only seems to cease his mayhem when Rykin comes along. Loving affection he is always leaping onto the lap of others and whining for a good rub down. Yet, he takes a more professional attitude when he is out on hunts with Rykin. With a good nose and a strong bite he has on a few occasions saved Rykin's skin from a Glassbeak or two.
