I just want to give a general announcement to all my awesome players, which I'm sure most of you have heard and frankly, this should be obvious, but it's still a very important aspect of playing Syliras and in Mizahar in general.
Please, play to your skill level (No Powergaming), if you are a novice then you should logically stumble more at what you are doing. You can underplay as it's logical for a Master to tone down, but you can't overplay. I'll nudge you on first/second offense, but repeat it and I'll give you interventions instead of grades... I'm saddened, but it must be done if the player doesn't listen after repeatedly being told.
Don't create powerful NPCs out of the blue and make a plot on all your own to kill them/make them give you items/etc (No Godmodding). Sure you can make a barmaid or a knight, or even a bunch of bandits just for an event in-thread, but creating a whole new criminal gang that is plotting to overthrow Loren Dyres? No... not without my permissions. The NPC Master List is there for a reason.
Don't take OOC knowledge to IC (No Metagaming). You, as the player, may know that Rhysol is evl or Ssena is the Goddess of Fear or even simple (OOC-wise) things that personal magic is inherently dangerous, but your PC, your character IN-Universe might not know these things unless they have the proper lores. Please play to your character background, if your PC is a Svefra for example, then he should logically know about sea and sea creatures eventhough he only has starting lores, but he won't know about the existence of Lhex, God of Fate, without the proper lore.
Metagaming also includes taking OOC knowledge of your thread partner's CS to IC. Sure your thread partner might be secretly a mage with a Cordas mark, but you WON'T know right off the bat, no... that's just not logical.
If you are paying attention, recently, a veteran player who has been here for a while with a streak of extreme godmodding, powerplaying, and metagaming has been uninvited. This show that Mizahar's rule is fair, the rules don't care if you are a Featured Character, have 1k++ posts, have 1 million+ words, or a badass McAwesome Dude with lots of Master skills. A powergamer is still a powergamer, and if they don't fix up their shyke, they'd uninvited.
I don't mean any of these to scare you... I care for you, and I want my awesome players to know these rules. Respect others, respect yourself, play clean and well.
If you are unsure of anything, don't be afraid to PM me.
