Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

On the busy roads of Riverfall, one figure was drawing a few confused glances as she walked. It was a Svefra, her blonde hair tousled by the wind, accompanied by her Tavan- a sea lion. It was her companion that drew the looks, though Nerida paid them no mind as she walked. The Svefra had decided to explore more of Riverfall, bearing both her Atani and her Kris, even though she wasn't very skilled with the use of the latter.

Moving around a group of gossips, she failed to notice Rasia speeding up, until finally her attention was drawn when her Tavan gave a short bark of surprise and disappeared from sight. The disappearing part was more thanks to the group of people blocking her view of the sea lion, and less due to Rasia's speed.

"Rasia! Wait for me!" She shouted in surprise, almost crashing into a few passerby's as she chased after her Tavan. She could tell what direction Rasia had been going from the short barks she made as she tracked down whatever had caught her attention, the clues growing louder as she ran.

Catching sight of her elusive Tavan, Nerida sped up, before crashing into someone else who had gotten into her way. Landing on the ground, she groaned, scrambling up, before glancing around. Yep, Rasia had disappeared from sight once more.

"Watch it!" She snapped at whoever she had collided with, too distracted to properly take a look at their features. With a huff she rearranged her Atani, balancing out the scarf, before striding off in the direction she had seen Rasia go, calling out for her.

OOCThey're near the Blue Gem, and subsequently near the Menagerie Aquarium, which is where Rasia's heading because it's so interesting!

Running into a Vantha [Lysaea]

Postby Lysaea Frostfawn on March 16th, 2014, 10:34 am

Lysa walked through the city with a bounce to her step. Gods she was feeling happy. In her hand she held an empty sack of game and her spear in the other. She had made a trek back from the Sanctuary to city in the previous chime, having managed to catch not only one, but two pieces of meat that was by now, away in the kitchens ready to be prepared. That was good, especially for her in the amount of time she had actually spent in the woods.

In any case, she was feeling the urge to take a hike through the three-tiered city for no particular reason either than that she hadn't seen the city much in the previous weeks and it was nice for a change.

As Lys brushed past the many scattered people along the road, she mentally noted to herself that buying a mapping kit might be good for herself. Then she'd be able to practise her loved skill of cartography. It'd also be good in the fact that she wouldn't get lost in the city so much.

Lysa furrowed her eyebrows as she looked up at the above signs indicating the shop's names.

"Vin's Smoke House," she read aloud in her limited Tukant.

If she wasn't wrong, that was on the side where The Vineyards were. She really needed to map the city all out, they she'd carry it with her all the time so she wouldn't get lost.

Turning her head until she was facing the streets at eye-level, Lys was about the walk towards the Vineyards when she began to hear the beginnings of a commotion.

Curious, she turned her head in the direction, wondering what was causing all the kerfuffle. She didn't see anything.

Lysa shrugged her shoulders and continued walking. A dim memory floating in the back of her mind surfaced. Shykes. She wasn't sure if she was needed anywhere. Heading to the Sanctuary would be a good start to make sure. Increasing her pace to a run, she tried to sort through her memories. Hopefully she wasn-

And suddenly she was hit by a running impact, making her spiral ungracefully to the floor.

"Shykes!" she gasped as she hit the ground, her spear and sack on the ground.

Almost immediately did she see a girl's frowning features as she immediately got up and straightened her scarf.

"Me? Watch it? How bout you!" she declared, her fists slightly clenched.

Lys pressed her lips together in annoyance when the girl simply continued to stride off calling some Rasia's name out in the air.

Seriously? Did she not realise who was in the wrong here? Forgetting all about her quest to return back to the Sanctuary, she picked herself up from the ground in a huff.

Not particularly caring where her feet were taking her, she decided she would head towards the Gardens nearby. She needed to cool off some.

Leaning over to grab her stuff, she began to walk briskly to her destination trying to avoid thinking about the girl she had crashed into. Despite her snappiness, she did seem to have been worried. Probably about Rasia.

Unwilling to even think about helping the rude girl, she redirected her thoughts towards gardens. Yes, gardens and parks.

OOCI hope my post's fine :)

Continuing to walk away, Nerida stopped in her tracks and looked around, frowning. "Rasia! If you do-" In the midst of speaking, she cut off as she was crashed into by a brown shape. Falling onto the ground, the Svefra's ears were barraged by excited barks. Yep, it was Rasia. Groaning, she pushed her Tavan off her, sitting up slowly. The pedestrians around the two gave them a wide berth as Neri stood up properly.

"Where were you all that time?" She asked the sea lion, crossing her arms as she was given quite a loud response. Sighing, the Svefra began walking, Rasia following by her side. "Look, you can't just run off Rasia-"

Nerida cut off as she was pushed to the side, falling to the ground, Rasia barking angrily as a running figure sped past them. "Wh- He stole my Kris!" She cried, furious, standing up and brushing her self off. Gritting her teeth, she ran after the thief, closely followed by Rasia.

OOCI guess the thief will have stolen something from Lysa too

Running into a Vantha [Lysaea]

Lysa strolled casually through the streets as she continued to make her way to the park that was to be her destination. Her walk was pleasant at least for the first few minutes when suddenly, bam in her face, there they were. A massive crowd of people.

Lysa really tried hard to stop her face from morphing into a really bad sight. An expression that contained icy eyes and gritted teeth. But alas, the best she could do was shut her eyes and let her anger roll over.

Boy was Lys in a bad mood. Crowds meant delay. Heavy delay. Her mood had already been decreased by the rude girl who had bumped into her for no reason so seeing her most hated nemesis in the world wasn't doing anything to brighten up her face.

Suppressing a scowl, she stood up straight and strode into the thick of it. Better get over with the hustle and bustle quicker. A few minutes later, Lys managed to be still stuck in the crowd. She didn't bother to hide her glare as her eyes flickered up to the tall akalak and other people that surrounded her.

Shortness and crowds never, and she meant never worked well together.

Growling, she stood still as she looked around for an opening she could get through. Even then, she could feel her chest rising as she began to feel suffocated from all the people rushing around. It was due to this that she was completely oblivious to the fact that she had dropped her spear on the ground when suddenly, a person crashed straight into her and disappeared, leaving Lysa reeling away.

"HEY!" she yelled loudly as she struggled to regain her balance before she realised the person had stolen her spear.

"PETCHIN THIEF!" she continued angrily as she pushed through the crowd as best as she could. At least in this instance the person was delayed by the strong akalak men as well.

Stopping to pant slightly as she got out of the crowd, she looked side to side quickly, trying to see where the thief went.

There!

Seeing hurried movement, she took off quickly after the thief, adrenaline surging through her body as she gave chase and slowly began to catch up. But she was losing breath fast. She didn't know how to pace herself. Slowly down at an intersection, she stopped to take a breather when she was off her feet again and landed on the ground with a thump.

"WHAT IS IT WITH ME AND FLOORS TODAY?" she boomed in her own language, a surprisingly loud voice coming out of the usually quiet Vantha.

OOCSorry for the late reply!

Losing sight of Rasia, Nerida continued running after the thief, her breath beginning to come in short bursts. How dare he! She thought angrily, clenching her hands into the shape of a fist as she ran. Slowing down, she took the chance to catch her breath, attempting to move through an intersection.

Turning to call for Rasia, she was caught by surprise as she was crashed into, taking a step back in shock. Down by her feet was the initiator of the collision, in the middle of talking angrily in a tongue she didn't understand. "Uh, sorry 'bout that," She apologised to the female in Common, rubbing her arm in embarrassment. The language they were speaking was slightly familiar, something she had heard before - a while ago.

"I have'ta go, there's a..thief I need t'chase," She laughed awkwardly, turning around and beginning to walk away, already beginning to glance around for any glimpse of where the thief could have gone.
OOCOh my gosh, I'm so sorry for the delay! >.<

Lys managed to refrain herself from choking the girl who bumped into her although only just. She relaxed her shoulders and managed to place a thin smile on her lips. "That's quite alright,"

Thank the gods the girl didn't seem to know what she had said and at the very least she did look apologetic. About to leave the girl again to chase after the thief, she whipped around again when she heard the word 'thief'.

"Wait, you're chasing a thief?" she demanded as she grabbed the girl by the arm by instinct as she started to walk away. If it was the same thief maybe she had seen where they had went. She realised she may seem slightly rude and relaxed her grip slightly but didn't let go, not wanting to let the girl run off if she tried.

"I was chasing a thief as well, do you know where they went? They stole something I consider precious to me," she continued on to explain her actions, shaking her leg a touch in impatience as she waited for the girl's answer.

OOCAaand now it's my turn to apologise for a delay >.< Sorry, I was going to reply and then I got busy with school :(

Nerida turned in surprise as the female - a Vantha - grabbed her wrist, eyes widening in surprise at their words. "Yeah, I am," She responded, taking the opportunity to reclaim her hand from their grip as soon it loosened enough. "I saw them runnin' in that direction." Nerida gestured in the direction she had been originally running towards, before shooting a hesitant smile at the Vantha.

"Uh..it would prob'ly be quicker to catch them if we worked t'gether," She offered, waiting for the other female's reaction. It was true - they'd probably catch the thief way faster working together, especially if they both had something they wanted to get back.

"Whad'ya say?"

OOCI actually had no idea you'd updated until a few days ago! >.< My notifications were apparently non-existent ://

Running into a Vantha [Lysaea]

Lysa's stare grew in intensity as the girl responded that she had been chasing a thief. Immediately, her thoughts begun to spin faster than a spider making it's cobweb. Where did the thief go? The question zipped around like lightning with the obvious answer being one of the few directions that was possible and the actual answer being the girl's headed destination.

"You sure?" She asked, no hesitation at all. It was actually sort of pointless to ask the question though. It wasn't like she had wanted to listen to the reassurance anyway.

She readied her feet to take off in a spring after the thief in his supposed direction before the girl's accented voice brought her back from her adrenaline rush. The girl's suggestion definitely took her back, evident from her widened eyes, inquisitive tilt of head and slightly opened mouth.

In truth she wanted to take off after the thief and the precious seconds spent talking to the girl weren't doing much for her patience. However, it did make sense if they worked together. Lysa took a breath in and closed her mouth.

"Why not? Makes sense to me,"

As soon as the words left her mouth, her feet took off in a steady jog in the direction, not waiting for the girl to reply before she turned her head around to look at the girl.

"I'm going to look for a place to climb. Maybe I'll see where the thief went," She stated, briefly explaining herself. She knew it was going to be hopeless if she just tried running directly after the thief since they had already lost sight of him.

She skidded to a halt as soon as found a climbable place and began to examine the wall for foot holds. If she could just get to the roof for a second and look for the thief and where the girl was. She had a mild idea of what they looked like and if she could see what the thief was doing, she could concoct some plan to trap him with the girl.
