Powerful, yet helpless, strong, yet weak. These traits described the ghost girl perfectly as of the moment, even with all her power in projecting her soulmist and deadly freezing touch, she was nothing in the face of this human, the human whose neck so fragile she could cut it clean off her shoulders within a tick, but such thoughts were impossible for her now. The Oath had no subjective concepts such as mercy or good and evil, it was simply doing what it was designed to do, binding a willing subject to its terms. Kouri voluntarily signed her Oath, the Divines had accepted them, of course, if Anna told her to never reincarnate, she would be compelled, in short, there was no escaping this torment... or paradise if she could just accept her new life. The ghost girl's sobs slowly lost its volume and the blood tears stopped streaming, she just simply lay there on the floor.

Anna knelt beside her, the gentle expression returning, "He.." Kouri gave a small smile of twisted hope, relieved that her mother had returned, not the arrogant sorceress she despised, but a loving woman who regarded her as a daughter. "Mommy..." She breathed softly as Kouri rose up and accepted Anna's embrace, tigtly hugging the woman's torso, placing her chin on Anna's shoulder as she closed her eyes in comfort. Anna's words were planted deep inside her heart, she would get all of those for just one simple thing, she must love Anna back, see her as her own mother, whether Anna was lying or not about them needing each other, Kouri couldn't find herself to care, "I love you... I love you..." Her eerie voice repeated itself, each time her small fingers rubbed at Anna's back.

The ghost girl, still tired from their shenanigans, closed her eyes as she climbed herself up for Anna to bridal-carry her, then she went sill, focusing on recuperating her body. At least for this moment, she could feel the embrace of a mother once more, she didn't need to worry about anything else, with a adorable haunting sleepy giggle, Kouri drift herself off into a resting state.

The strange staff from the Void was a silent witness to the twisted bonding between a Chaon mother and a phantom daughter.

OOCAlright! I think this should be my last post for the thread, your reply will end it then I will post it for grading. ;)

Anna smirked as the ghost’s weightless form clung tightly to her, nuzzling her face into the tall woman’s body as she sought comfort. The sorceress felt the shivers run down her body, tingling up her spine and across her bones as her daughter’s chilling aura affected her entire body though not enough to harm her. For her part she simply held the ethereal child to her breast and made gentle shushing noises, peppering the top of her scalp with light kisses of affection. On the inside a malicious feeling of victory rose, the knowledge that she now had claimed the child body, mind and soul.

The child repeated her love for Anna over and over again, her fingers trailing down her back a chilling her through the fabric of her clothing. She had won a victory on Sahova finally, not a small postponement or a little scrap thrown from the table of the undead. No, she had made this possible through her own wit and quick thinking in regards to manipulation. The sorceress felt something at that thought, that she had gained true dominion over another creature like Kouri. This was what Rhysol had meant about her true self, this was the side that the darkness in her heart reveled in.

Kouri shifted and allowed the tall woman to carry her in her arms, to her room no doubt in order to claim the sleep they both needed at the moment. The tall sorceress could walk properly now, but she still felt petching awful and in serious need of sleep from the amount of casting she had done. She had pushed her limits in regards to her abilities in regards to Voiding today, seen how far she could actually go before she ran the risk of overgiving. The powerful young woman had also learned a lesson in Void exploration, as well as the horrors that could lay just on The Other Side.

The tall woman’s eyes fell upon the staff and she walked over to it, moving Kouri slight so that she could carry the smooth staff in her right hand. Perhaps it was only some stick, but Anna figured it was something she had earned this day through trial and tribulation. So even if it was just some old stick, it was her old stick. Besides, might do well for her to start carrying a staff around as it rather completed the image of the classical personal wizard.

As she stood her eyes caught something in the corner of them, the severed clawed hand of the creature that she had taken off during her attack against it. She blinked at the sight of the appendage and slowly approached the appendage, her step cautiously measured. Anna tapped at it with the butt of her new staff, the dead limb not moving or even twitching as it just stayed dead. She swallowed as she gingerly reached down to pick it up, no blood pouring from it at all. Perhaps someone could tell her just what that monster had been with the hand, if nothing else it was a grisly trophy of her victory.

This task complete her eyes surveyed the ruin around her, and to her it really just looked like an average magical disaster gone wrong so it was par for the course on Sahova. If the day went by without something exploding it could probably be considered a rather dull affair all things considered, besides the woman doubted she was the only one to accidently free creatures from another dimension. So really, it wasn’t like she had gone into the Forge and broken Sahovan law. These were the risks of magic getting out of hand.

With this in mind Anna set off from the Common Labs with her daughter wrapped around her, a staff in hand, and a clawed appendage stored away for future research. It had been a long and fairly eventful day all things considered, and hopefully she’d never have to worry about seeing that creature again in her life time. After all, the Void was an infinite bit of space, what were the odds of summoning the same creature from it again? Of course, it was very possible that it was not the only dangerous thing that lurked beyond the blackness of her portals.

OOCOf course! Anytime, Kouri, I always enjoy plotting with you. :)

Injuries

Injury Description
Hallucinations Received due to Voiding Overgiving. Whenever Anna creates a Portal large enough for a creature to pass through she will be tricked into seeing things moving about in the darkness. These phantom creatures will never be distinctive in any way but merely inky black shapes spotted out of the corner of one's eyes. This effect may be cure with the L1 Healing Gnosis or several months of counseling.
Nightmares Your Void Nightmares will now include the seven foot tall Yukman-like monster that you fought during this thread. This isn't a consequence of Overgiving but a natural consequence of association. Somehow being cured of the Voiding Nightmare that is a symptom of Overgiving will remove this beast from haunting your dreams as well.
Insomnia and Dreamful Sleeps Received due to Overgiving. For the next sixty days as of this date Anna's nightmares will increase in frequency and intensity to such a point that she will fear going to sleep to face them. Due to her dreaming for most of her sleep time rather than actually resting she will not get as much rest as the average person would. This effect may be cured with L2 Healing. Counselling would take longer to fix this than the effect's duration.

Comments :
I don't know why but whenever I hear Anna refer to herself as “Mummy” in the third person it creeps me right out. GOOD JOB! As for the rest of the thread it was a real, full thread this one and I had to level you with some consequences for that but it was an enjoyable read.

I have awarded your grade to the best of my ability. Of course I'm not infallible so if you have any comments or queries about your grade feel free to PM me.
