Jamie Lyons General Race: Human Gender: Male Age: 26 Birthday: 15th, Winter, 487 AV Birthplace: Syliras Job: Groom at the Mithryn Outpost and Windmount Stables Appearance He is a very serious looking man, with a mouth set naturally in a frown and rigid posture that that makes it hard to shake his common first impression of being a stick in the mud. Often at first he can be quiet, but without much coaxing his friendly demeanor comes forth. He stands at an average height of 5'10", but the years of work at Mithryn Outpost have made him strong and sturdy, though he does appear overly as such. It is a rather subtle strength, hinted slightly through the cut of his muscle, the broad lines of his shoulders, and his narrow hips. His bright blue eyes are observant and expressive, often giving others an idea of what's really on his mind. Short, curly hair shines with a copper hue in the sun; leftover genetics from an Inartan heritage that has been watered down over the past few generations. In the winter it turns nearly brown, while summer bleaches it something close to strawberry blonde. Character Concept Jamie is a good man, but has slipped into a sort of neutrality over the years. No acts of valor have come his way--only work at the Outpost--or so he thinks. He goes about his duties efficiently and without complaint, helping to provide for Syliras just as everyone else does. He follows the rules and doesn't question the Knights. There is a sense of adventure that springs forth at times, and a hint of wanderlust that can make him a little reckless. While he feels his deeds are not of much extreme worth, he is a very charitable man and at times selfless. He chooses no Gods to worship, but can be inspired. A particularly beautiful sunrise may make Syna cross his mind, or the moon for Leth. He has had no extensive religious teachings, nor higher education. He can both read and write Common, as well as do simple mathematics. Philosophy eludes him, and greater questions about the world do not often cross his mind. He can be rather simple, compared to some, but fits in well with most of those who live at the Mithryn Outpost. Character History The Bastard: Jamie was the byproduct of a drunken night between a seasoned Squire and a tavern girl. The strain of his birth was too much for his young mother to handle, and as a result she passed soon after he was brought into the world. This left his reluctant father with a problem. To him, Jamie was a threat to his climb through the ranks of Knighthood, and being a single father would never give him points with women. After some debate, he gave his newborn son to his sister and her husband. They were farmers at the Mithryn Outpost, and for several years they had been trying to start a family, though with no success. The two of them gladly took Jamie in, but decided to never tell him about his true parentage. By choice, they never spoke to her brother again. Upon his father's time to be chosen by the Windoak, he was rejected for his past behavior and was refused entry into the Knighthood. He is suspected to now be living in Kenash and making end's meat as a mercenary.
