AppearanceRace: Human, Inarta
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Birthday: 85, Fall, 497.
Birthplace: Wind Reach
Appearance: Atika is an average sized Inarta, roughly 5' on the nose and is about 105lbs. Her physique is not very physically intimidating, but under the softly freckled pale skin lay sinuous muscle in her arms from working with a bow and in her legs from running daily and standing often.
Her medium length red hair is on the softer side of red and has a natural wave to it. She often decorates it with small braids, and glass beads acquired by her father Iriv. She seems to prefer white and green colored beads as decoration.
Like other Inarta's she does have a few piercings, such as one in each ear near the top of the ear into the cartilage and one in her navel.
Character ConceptAtika is a carefree Inarta girl with a lot of spunk and attitude. While she is far from being spoiled, she does have issues with hearing the word no. She does not throw temper tantrums, or whine and complain, but she does seem to hold grudges and is very likely to tell people off that have told her no in the past. She is incredibly curious as well and loves to learn. She goes out of her way to learn new things and seek out new ways of thinking. Growing up in Lhavit she has a pretty open mind and is not one to judge a person based on their race, gender, sexual preference of skill set. Unless you give her a reason to hate you, she's likely to just be indifferent to you.
Being like most sixteen / seventeen year old girls, she fantasizes about romance and finding her 'knight in shining armor.' Growing up in Lhavit has not made that any better either, surrounded by beautiful Ethaefel has given her an unrealistic expectation for her dream beau. It also does not help that her fathers have a close relationship and because they spend so much time apart when they are together they seem like the perfect couple and have done well to only argue out of ear shot of their daughter, so Atika is under the impression that perfect couples do exists and that her fathers are proof that not every couple has fights.
Overall Atika is an innocent young woman with a lot of hopes and dreams. Aside from her fantasy about the perfect man, she has a drive to be a self sufficient hunter and a fantastic gemcutter. She wants a utopian life full of fun and love. She will eventually realize that reality is not the stuff of dreams and that even if her life isn't filled with loss and sorrow it will not be all fun and games, and there will never be a knight in shining armor to come save you, without a price.
Character HistoryAtika was born in Wind Reach to a Dek and an Endal. The Dek, her mother was not exactly willing to bring the girl into the world, but what could she do? An Endal wanted her to have his child. After little Atika was born her father Iriv and Retik, his human lover, brought her to Lhavit where Retik lived as a painter. Retik did most of the parenting, as Iriv was mostly flying around doing trade runs for Wind Reach, but he often planned long stays in Lhavit to stay with his daughter and his lover.
Atika was a happy child, growing up with two loving dads, but there came a time when she began to question where her mother was and eventually she realized that though Retik was her primary parent, he was not actually her faher, Iriv was, and she was quick to deduce that Retik was not her mother either. It was after a particularily long week of pestering Retik that he finally told the young twelve year old that her mother was a Dek in Wind Reach, and when Iriv came for his visit, he had to explain exactly what it all meant. Initially both men were afraid Atika would be upset, but it turned out her curiosity was sated by the knowledge that she did have an actual mother, but that she wasn't here and never brought it up again.
Being the daughter of an Artist and an Eagle Rider Atika was pulled in two different directions when it came to her interests. She seemed happy to learn both Archery and Jewel-crafting. At first it was simply taking the bow out with Iriv and shooting at trees, and playing with cheap metal wires to make pretty necklaces from beads with Retik, it eventually turned into two distinct passions for the young Inarta girl. Eventually her abilities in Jewelcrafting came to a slow but her archery skills continued on.
Within the last year she's convinced her fathers to give her money to buy a little apartment of her own in the city and is planning on honing her skills in hunting, and also seeking out a Jewelcrafter in Lhavit to take her as an apprentice.
