Dejah

Appearance

Race: Inarta
Caste: Chiet
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Birthday: 35th day of Fall, 497 AV
Birthplace: Wind Reach

Appearance: Dejah barely stretches 4'5" from the ground. Her firm build makes her appear more weighty than she actually is. In her own opinion, and that of others, she is clearly not the most attractive being in Wind Reach - but then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Her hair falls in subtle twists, a dull burgundy-red in tone, and usually flows freely in the breeze. The only intricacy is that of a few thin braids that hand along her richly coloured cheeks.
Her eyes take on a subdued misty shade of blue and are small and narrow. In contrast, her nose, large and round in shape is littered with bright freckles. Her right ear, though usually hidden by hair, is pierced twice. From time to time she hangs feathers from them. Should they come into her possession, she may also hang light ornate beads from them. This is a rarity however.

Character Concept

Dejah could be considered shy within her community, though is still relatively outspoken and opinionated in the grand scheme of things. She has a quiet passion for most things. She only speaks out when people's view points differ from her own - which is more often than not. In the moments that she is alone and has confined herself to her own thoughts, she develops a great deal of meaningful questions and views of the world. Often these views are considered bizarre and sometimes unhealthy for her.
From a young age, as with most Inarta, her adventurous spirit has been strong. Due to certain circumstances and changes throughout her life, however, she never pursued her dream of becoming an Endal. While the thought often lingers in her mind, she convinces herself that she is content with the humble life she leads.
In comparison to many of her neighbors and kin, she has an incredible control of her temper - in public at least. When provoked, she can hold herself back from lashing out, which she has seen could prove an important life skill. It is only when she is alone, among close companions, or on the rare occasion that she looses complete control that she will physically lash out. Occasionally, yet more often than the alternative, she can be caught being verbally abusive. Since she only speaks out at certain times, she has a way of angering only specific people; usually her employers. This unfortunately results in Dejah jumping from job to job on a regular basis.

Character History

Due to nature of her race, Dejah has always questioned her parentage. She has the firm belief that both of her biological parents were Dek. Naturally she was forgotten or abandoned - due to the sheer amount of children and the vast carelessness of the Drudges - but was partially raised by another. A man - another chiet - whom she came to call 'Father' took her in.
Her father, as a baler, which heightened Dejah's interest in archery from around the age of ten. She and her father spent many hours training the art in the girl's youth, but as she grew and was able to get work, this time lessened.
Now, Dejah spends very little time with her father as they no longer live together. The distance has grown over a space of many years, and to the girl's regret, she often sees him as simply another stranger. However, the do meet occasionally and still exchange the gifts during celebrations. The man, who no longer works as baler, but is attempting to forge of career in glasswork, give her ornate glass objects, such as combs and the odd hairpiece. Instead of archery practice with her family, she spends a lot of time on her own in the library, thinking, or improving her bowman-ship skills alone.

Heirloom: A delicate shortbow handed down through Dejah's adoptive family. The weapon itself has seen better days. Once intricate carvings had become battered and sliced over several generations. It was given to her by her father when she was first taught to shoot. She, like all of the bow's previous owners, doesn't not have any sentimental attachment to the object and makes almost everyday use of it.

Housing

Location: Darvina Commonrooms, Wind Reach

House: As with many other Chiets, Dejah's living quarters are minimal. The single cave room contains a large double bed - which takes up most of the space - and a number of bookcases among other things. She spends very little time at home; she is usually out in the wilderness, wandering the city or tucked away in the library.

Hello there!

I'm Crosspatch, one of the friendly CS Liaisons on Mizahar! I've been looking over your Character Sheet, and I have noticed some minor issues that need to be resolved and fixed. Sadly these need to be done before you can continue roleplaying, so let's take a look at them shall we?

  • In accordance to the Inarta lore, if the children are unable to be raised by their parents, they are then raised by commoners in large nursery devoted to the task - and when aged 8 are sent to live in the Youth section of the city in order to learn a trade. Please correct this within your history.
  • Please label your weapon skill as “Weapon: Weapon name.” For example to use a Short bow it would be labelled as “Weapon: Short bow “.
  • It is required that you clearly state which skills are Starter Package (SP) skills and which are Racial Bonus (RB).
  • Due to being Novice in Wilderness Survival can you please clearly state somewhere the a single environment type your PC is familiar with? (Example types include: Desert, Forest, Hills, Marsh, Mountains, Plains, Sea or Underground).
  • As Fall 514 AV has yet to come round, your PC would still be 16 years old.
  • Are you sure you do not want a poor language option?

Once these problems have been dealt with, drop me a PM and I'll remove this intervention and approve your CS for you. Also if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask and I'll do my best to answer!
