Vayl slowly stopped shaking as he forced his breathing to calm down. When he lifted his head into view, his tears had dried, and a sad smile crossed his mouth.
"While I haven't the energy to argue about how amazing a person you think I am, I'm glad you're staying."
Slowly he rose to his kness and leant forward to hug Redd close to him, pulling her hood off. He smiled, stroking her hair instinctively and letting her head rest on his shoulder. His lavender eyes looked along her neck and cheek.
He could feel some tension in himself, the final vestiges of worry. He let them go.
Leaning in gently, Vayl dedicated himself to Redd with a soft kiss on the cheek, before hugging her as much as possible, making them be as close to each other as he could.
