Day 10, Spring, 514 AV
A sigh settled upon Black's lips as she rested a shoulder against a wooden wall, situated just between 'The General Goods Store' and 'Treasures of the Sea.' While normally she wouldn't be so close, she had decided that she wanted to do something easier for a change, something that wouldn't require her running away so soon. That meant she had to change her tactics a little and be a little more subtle. While there were a few good targets, she figured that once she got a hold of their purses, she would have to run like a bat out of hell, not that she could complain, she enjoyed the running and the chase but for now, she figured she could settle for someone that she could just 'bump' into. Maybe get them a little off balance so then they wouldn’t notice the fact that she was stealing their purse. All the while she was taking their purse for her own, something she was more than happy to do. Well, if she didn’t then someone else was going to and that wouldn’t line her pockets with mizas.
Her brown hues glanced upwards at the sky, noting the sun was halfway across the sky and was glad for the shadows of the hood of her black cloak that was pulled closed around her face, but not only did it obscure her facial features from the sight of wandering eyes, it also provided some kind of shade. Upon this day, she was wearing a full outfit of black, like normal, a black shirt, a black pair of pants and a black pair of boots. Indeed, she was decked out in black, however, she found the colour to be a bit of an advantage. Especially during the night time, where one would want to disappear into the dark to leave their victims behind with nothing but an empty pocket. Indeed, some times the thrill of successfully picking a pocket was worth the danger and other times, you would think yourself crazy for even daring to.
Black would shift upon the spot for a moment, mostly just shifting her weight from one leg to another as she patiently waited to spot the desired target. Normally 'The General Goods Store' was pretty busy considering Zeltiva was situated on the edge of the Suvan sea, or so she had heard people call it. To her it was just a great big expanse of water that would take a strong swimmer to cross it... Or drown. Angling her head, she began to wonder if anyone had actually tried swimming the Suvan Sea. Something that Black wasn’t game enough to do, especially seeing as she couldn’t exactly swim, it wasn’t a skill learnt before her parents were murdered. Not that she ever felt like she was missing out on something by not being able to swim, for she preferred to have her feet planted firmly upon the ground. While swimming did looked like fun, she knew that the further out you got, the deeper the water got and that it also meant that you couldn’t see through to the bottom anymore. That meant that something could easily swim up underneath you and get you as easily as that. The very thought made her shiver.
Silently, the young equine casted her gaze outwards again, keeping an eye out for city officials, which were the wave guards and for people that actually had something worth stealing. After all, that's why she was standing here outside the general goods store trying to spot a worthy target to go after, she wanted to make it some-what profitable and worth her time standing here. A few people would walk in front of her, some looked like they might be able to chop off your head if you even attempted at stealing their purse. A couple looked more like they only carried a few mizas and their eyes were too attentive to actually steal from without being caught, they would only call the guards down upon you, another type that was too much effort than coin and more trouble than anything. A sigh fell upon her lips as she would cross her arms over her chest, her brown hues sliding over the figures of the people that were simply walking by. One of them would become and her target and hopefully, she would get a purse worth stealing.
