Azael Atilius Appearance Race: Human Gender: Male Age: 19 Birthday: 12, Autumn, 495 Birthplace: Black Rock Appearance: Azael tends to look like a rather strange person due to the smile constantly planted on his face. He’s stands at an average height of 5’10, he has blonde hair which seems to naturally fall into its style; which is usually flat with a few stray hairs that continue to go stand-up no matter what is done. His hair is kept at a relatively normal length and doesn’t go over his ears at any point. His eyes are a dark brown which strongly contrasts against his hair color. Azael also has a skin complexion that borders on pale, but still allows him to look rather healthy. Azael is a rather averagely built man, he doesn’t have a lot of muscle, but he has worked up some which is can be noticed whenever his shirt is off. Azael also has a rather small nose with a similar sized ears, his jaw is squared and solid. Azael's choice of clothing is rather fitting for his choice of travelling, he doesn't usually wear a shirt which he keeps in his bag and leaves on a rather thin pair of trousers and boots. He also keeps his coat within his bag for rainy days. Character Concept Azael can be summed up into one word random. The man’s wants and needs change as often as the positions of the clouds. He appears to be unable to follow a track of thought for longer than a few seconds. While this isn’t completely true, Azael doesn’t feel a need to dwell on things and thus moves from conversation to the next as fast as possible. Azael also has a horrible habit of making up random yet horrible stories that are utterly unbelievable and tend to bore or annoy people rather fast; essentially he cannot tell a story to save his life. The next thing one would notice about him is the fact that one could say he’s the perfect example of neutrality. His friends tend to be only such as long as he’s interested…Or if they like his stories, him or anything to do with him…He’s pretty vain like that. Azael is also easily bored; on the other hand the man is also easily entertained. Actually calling him a man would be wrong; comparing him to a child would be a far better example. He tends to do the dumbest of things and doesn't care about the consequences as long as they don't endanger his life, and even then it's only when the chance of death is overwhelming. Now back to his neutrality Azael considers himself to be some sort of hero. The one thing that he doesn’t take in mind is that he spills blood whenever it fits him, and doesn’t go out of his way to protect another. He isn’t outright evil as he doesn’t kill for nothing, although he only needs the smallest of reasons to convince himself to do so. He does take a small bit of pleasure from causing and seeing the death of others although he tends to forget about that rather quickly too. Over everything, Azael is an opportunist, he will do his best to make a good situation a great one or a bad one an okay one. He's capable of coming up with tactics and plans to suit his situation and isn't as dumb as he gives off, but all in all he's rather hard to motivate. If there is something in it for him, he'll be more than happy to do things, but if there isn't any gain then he'll carry on being the "hero" that he is. Now onto this "hero" complex of his, he honestly believes that the things he does are heroic, no matter what he is exactly doing. His life might even revolve around this complex of his, just when he developed it is a mystery, but his mother speculates it was after having learned morphing. Nontheless, it drives to do reckless things that he otherwise wouldn't do, just the thought "is this what a hero would do" or "A hero would do this like that!" is enough to spur him onto doing things in strange ways. But this doesn't mean that he's out to help people, in fact he's unlikely to help someone as he doesn't think a hero would do so, through his logic of "A hero doesn't hold anyone's hand, allowing others to help themselves will let them grow" which happens to be one of his more logical thought trains. Character History Azael's childhood was rather normal, he had two loving parents, although one of them was a ghost from what Azael could remember. His father having died while Azael was still young. His mother was a rather skilled magic user who thought him the one skill that she knew. Azael himself was a rather strange child. He preferred spending his time alone for the first few years of his later childhood. From the age of 7 onward Azael spent a majority of his time either practicing his magic, or watching pointless things such as pain dry, or grass not grow on Black Rock. It was a rather weird sight for anyone that knew of the boy, some thought he was being possessed by a ghost....Until that was debunked by the large ghost population of the island. After Azael reached the age of 12, he became social once more, a lot more even. He found himself a little enamoured by the idea of travelling at this point. Black Rock was a very boring place to live for him, others would be a little disturbed at the sight of a ghost, but not the people on this island, but this made Azael wonder what else was out there, what else could he go on to see. After spending the next 6 years preparing for that journey from asking people that knew of the world, to asking those rare travellers that got into the island Azael absorbed all of this knowledge. But there was something about Azael that wasn't right, others noticed it, but he himself never had. He was a strange person who couldn't care about the sitauations of others, nor that of those close him. A man that lived only for himself. This was quickly realized upon his father passing on, while his mother felt joy and sadness, Azael himself simply shrugged his shoulders and went back to what he was doing before. A number of similar situations ensued and every time Azael didn't give a hoot about what happened. One day he simply saw a boat heading for somewhere and he decided to hop on to it, unknown to him it would be heading to Falyndar, and due to his stupidity, Rayne hopped straight off the boat and onto land. Thanks to the knowledge he procured previously Rayne would be alright in the forests, but what would save him from what lurked within? Well I'm awesome, and well awesome, plus I work as a hero during my spare time, so I guess I'm a double awesome hero huh? Marie Atillius and Alexander Atillius, eh my folks were pretty cool I guess, my mom was pretty normal other than being able to morph, she tended to worry about every little thing, so what if I liked to watch grass not grow? My dad was pretty cool though, he could pretty much phase through all sorts of shyke, it was hella weird when he phased through me though. Pretty petching weird way to tell someone off though. 2. Do you have any brothers or sisters? Nope, my old man couldn't make anymore, being a ghost and all. 3. What is your extended family like? My granma was pretty cool, even cooler after she became a ghost, passed on though, my Grandad is sorta weird, just sits there and talks about the old old days, like who cares? 4. Every once in a while a bunch of guys would stop off in Black Rock, and I'd listen to some of their travel stories, so after that I guess I just wanted to travel~. Education : 1.
