Location Radjud-Dalat

Healing Center for Slaves. Everyone else, stay out! Just kidding...! Maybe.

This lazy agricultural settlement rests on the swampy shores of the Middle Suvan at the delta of The Kenash River. The River's slow moving bayou waters have bred a different sort of people - rugged, cultured, and somewhat violent. Sprawling plantations of tobacco and cotton grow on the outskirts of the swamp in the rich Cyphrus soils, while the city itself curls around the bayou and spawns decadence and sins of all sorts. Life is slower in Kenash, but the lack of pace is made up for in the excesses of food and flesh in a city where drinking, debauchery, gambling, slavery, and overbearing plantation families dominate the landscape.

'To Fix what is Broken', in the Ancient Tongue, Nader-Canoch.

A treatment center dedicated almost exclusively to the treatment of slaves in the city of Kenash, this facility is provided with funding from nearly every single Dynasty with the exception of the Rajor, who care little for the longevity of their slaves. Established as a haven for slaves injured by their working lives or the burden of their masters' outrage, this clinic is owned and operated by N'salla Konrath, a Konti healer who found her purpose in the treatment of slaves.

The Radjud-Dalat is equipped with an array of medical tools for the woman to use, including scalpels for surgery, organic threads for sutures, equipment for acting as a midwife (more common than expected in a clinic tailored to slaves), treatment salves, potions and poultices to treat wounds, as well as standard equipment to maintain sanitary conditions within the clinic.

This clinic is tailored to severe injuries and large enough to hold and treat a total of ten slaves at any given time, allotted supplies suited to the task, though generally, the location will not fill up to such an extent, lesser injuries taken care of at the Mortal Solace, instead.

N'salla has made it a point to not utilize slaves in her establishment in order to set her patients at ease, the woman's skill at doing so almost equal to her talent for medicine. Instead, she hires Freeborn women to work under her, though for the moment she has only one assistant, for it is all that is required for the scale of the clinic and the frequency of needed and desired treatment of slaves.

Though uses of the clinic's resources are generally directed to more severe injuries, this is also the place that slaves are taken to after being branded into slavery, the Konrath taking great care to treat the facial brand without altering it in any way.

Name: N'salla Konrath

PoB: Mura
Title: Healer and Priestess of Nikali.
Skills: 74 Medicine, 58 Philtering, Organization 32, Leadership 27, 18 Seduction, 13 Cooking.
Gnosis: Ranuri 3, Healing 1
Additional Info: A born Healer, this Konti's past is a testament to her dedication to Nikali, who saved her from the ruins of slavery and gave her pleasure in the midst of the darkness of her Master's wrath. It was not until she was saved by the Konrath family when her and her previous Master set upon shore that she was given freedom and moreover, status as a member of a Dynasty.

At this time, she had two marks from Nikali, though her continued dedication to the Goddess and her unwillingness to bond to someone and tend to her own individual needs as Ranuri, seeking to bring pleasure and healing to all of those around her rather than serving a master as she had in the past. Compelled to heal those she feels do not merit her treatment, she stays inside as a recluse, allowing her assistant to steward patients into her facility, at which point she will treat them.

A gentle soul and a loving person, this Konrath has never had and will never have an interest in furthering her position in the grand scheme of Kenash's political entanglements. She is content with her position as a healer, though her mark compels her to do more, and as such she also serves in an advisory capacity to any and all that enter the facility and are allowed to do so by her assistant, who acts as a protector to the Ranuri-Healer's compulsions.

N'salla learned the Ancient Tongue after being invited into the Konrath Dynasty, as she furthered her knowledge of the applications of medicine, using old books and tomes to reference both Nader-Canoch and ancient medicinal applications.

Name: Callista Voltek
Race: Human
DoB: 12th of Fall, 492
PoB: Riverfall
Title: Assistant to N'salla
Skills: 44 Herbalism, 37 Grooming, 28 Medicine, 22 Massage.
Gnosis: None.
Additional Info: N'salla's assistant specializes in the knowledge and understanding of herbs and plants that can be used to create salves and poultices that N'salla uses to heal her patients. This is her primary responsibility, though her secondary and far more applicable task is to act as a steward to narrow the focus of N'salla's gnosis-granted abilities.

N'salla can ignore her impulses at times, but she finds it easier to have Callista act as her steward and rid the need for said desires in the first place. Callista is happy to help her employer, and has a very close relationship to her, seeing the Konti as a mother of sorts despite her youthful appearance. There is a deep respect for the well-knowledged Konti and she seeks to learn more from her.

Radjud-Dalat

Set in the first room within the Radjud-Dalat, this shrine is an open and well-tended to shrine representing the Goddess that N'salla worships. A masque is placed at the base of the sculpture, several rose petals placed upon the floor of the shrine. Unlike other shrines, this sculpture is not set on an altar, but a base, depicted more as a work of art than a place of worship, because of the fact that an altar would occupy space and breadth that is unsuitable to the location. Despite this, along the pillar that forms the shrine's base, stylized, red-coloured chains make their way upwards, ending just shy of the sculpture's body.

Worshipers and those that revere Nikali in passing are welcome to make offerings or pray at the shrine, though they are asked to keep quiet, for the Radjud-Dalat is generally in need of quiet in order for N'salla and Callista to work effectively. Slaves are encouraged to pray at the shrine and tell Nikali of their struggles with their Masters and lives on the plantations in hopes that Nikali will lift the burden of their pain from their shoulders and replace it with pleasure, instead.

The floor around the sculpture is fixed with a variety of tiny sculptures and carvings made by slaves who revere the Goddess, her image, the masque that she wears, or small trinkets made, N'salla arranging them weekly into a circle around the sculpture. At the eighth bell of every morning and evening, a small prayer is held by N'salla in order to bring praise to the Goddess, the ritual being one of the only times that N'salla is exposed to the public, and one of the key uses of her ability to resist the desires of others.

This sub-location is free to self-moderate.
